I've had the pleasure of being with Willowrun Veterinarian Hospital for years even when they started off in a small bldg location on the other side of Smithfield and now with their very nice location of today. Dr. Willie Smith is the most Loving, understanding, highly educated veterinarian that I have ever come across. Dr. Smith is a Big part of my family now and for way over 14 years &more. He has helped in so many ways with many Babies of mine but one in particular that he fell in Love with was the survival of my boy 馃樃Sylvester Hendrix. Sylvester had many problems he was paralyzed at one time but with the help of Dr. Smith we were able to keep Sylvester alive and well for over 14 years. Sylvester passed away in 2024 of June 12th Dr. Smith and I had to let him go onto heaven due to medical reasons. This was the hardest decision I think I have ever made with one of my babies but with Dr. Smith beside me and helping me it made it so much easier and doing something very hard. It had gotten to the point that Sylvester would have started suffering. So we had to do what was right. But if it hadn't been for Dr Smith I would have never had the pleasure of the Love I received by having Sylvester as my cat but with Dr. Smith's dedication in doing whatever it took to keep Sylvester alive made it possible. Sylvester was more than just a cat he was my Baby Boy he always for years went on Beach vacations& Loved riding in the truck. To the point he never was put into a cage. Sylvester was one that you didn't have to do that with him he listened and he knew his name and he rode in the truck just as I did. My youngest daughter Ashley didn't know life without Sylvester cuz he was always there wherever we went. Even thou he was handicapped he was a very smart boy and I miss him very very much which can't be put into words. I realize now Sylvester was a BIG part of my everyday routine It has left me a little lost and not having him here to Love and to take care of. But I do want to give a Major Big Thanks to Dr Smith and Willowrun Veterinarian Hospital for everything that they did for me and Sylvester. I can't go into detail of everything that was medically wrong with my boy Sylvester but as I said he was paralyzed at one time and had Kidney function disorder. But with the help of Dr Smith we were able to help Sylvester walk again and be able to do daily functions&play. So it is my pleasure to let everyone know If you need a Veterinarian Hospital that has Great dedication and wonderful Veterinarians & Staff Please go see them they will do everything in their power to help you and pet. I've attached a picture of Sylvester &Dr. Smith below. Sylvester is just one of the many rescues that I have had and Dr Smith was always there beside me in guiding me and keeping my babies alive and healthy! "Thank You" for giving me the opportunity to share my Awesome Experience With Dr Smith &the Staff at Willowrun Veterinarian Hospital. "Sincerely" Laurabrooks Hendrix Peace Out 鈽笍鉁濓笍馃樃

Apr 11, 2025 路 Laurabrooks HendrixRecently adopted a rescue. It's been years since we've had a pet. A friend recommended Willowrun. They were great! Dr. Gwynn was so nice and gentle with our new guy! She had a great assistant, Ally too. They patiently answered all the questions we had. Ally even hooked Walter up with some peanut butter :) Thank you!!
Apr 04, 2025 路 Brenda StewartI absolutely LOVE Willowrun Veterinary Hospital! The staff is always friendly and helpful! Dr. Ellis and Vayda are always so amazing with my dog, Dockers鈥e can be quite anxious and vocal, but they have always been patient and understanding with him. He is partially paralyzed, so the care they exercise when handling him makes me feel at ease/know that he is safe. They address all of my questions/concerns, and I truly feel that they care for him as if he was one of their own dogs! We are there at least monthly for acupuncture and laser therapy sessions (HIGHLY recommend!) along with wellness visits and any emergencies that arise. I cannot speak more highly of these two veterinary professionals, and every staff member we encounter here! I highly recommend Willowrun!
Apr 09, 2025 路 Samantha KierneyDr. Gwynn & Dr. Hammond are nothing short of phenomenal as well as all of the other staff. We recently had to let our sweet 11 y/o GSP girl cross over the Rainbow Bridge and the care and support our family received was amazing. We couldn鈥檛 be more thankful and happy with all the services we have ever received from here, and will always be clients.
Apr 12, 2025 路 Will.Bridgit CavinessI've been going to Willowrun Vet for over 1 year. They are pretty good with my dog, but I have two experiences that just don't sit well with me. 1. My dog had ear mites, instead of the two vets that I saw on two separate visits helping me and telling me what the issue was they suggested a 3RD visits WITH tests to confirm their suspicions. Which they never shared with me. But after telling me the cost of the test (over $200) I decided to do my own research and resolved her issue on my own. $60 later she's fine. But they did not offer that simple, helpful advice. 2. I had an emergency. We had a tech visit, I asked them to see my dog ASAP as I had to go. They said "no, we have to honor the appt before you." Even though that person was not there at the time. When they did help that person IT WAS AT MY APPOINTMENT TIME. SO they can inconvenience me, but not others.... got it! Mind you, I've had to wait several times, because stuff happens. No biggie. But this was it for me. If I'm going to spend my money somewhere I want to be treated right.
