Whitmire Animal Hospital

I absolutely love Whitmire Animal Hospital and would recommend it to anyone. Both of my cats have received nothing but amazing treatment every time we have gone. Bianca has been working as a receptionist since we started going there in March 2023 and has been amazing every visit. We have been to multiple different veterinarians, but I want to give a special thanks to Dr Carpenter. She is so patient and kind, and does her absolute best to not only make the pets feel good, but their owners as well. If you are looking for a vet, I highly recommend this one. Even though they are always busy, they always answer their phones and even go out of their way to check up on pets. Unfortunately my younger cat has had to go to the vet multiple times since I adopted him but they have given him nothing short of amazing treatment every time.

I had a great experience at this vet clinic! They were punctual, which I really appreciated, and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The vet was fantastic—realistic and understanding, meeting me at my level of pet care without any judgment. He took the time to explain my options clearly and thoughtfully, and when I asked for his opinion, he shared what he would personally recommend, which I found very helpful. It’s clear they genuinely care about pets and their owners. I’ll definitely be returning for future visits!

Absolutely fantastic. We had been looking for a vet for a while that we and our dogs both felt comfortable and happy with. My dogs are so happy here they don’t act like they’re at the vet. The staff is incredible and kind, they’re always ready to help and I’ve never had an issue getting an appointment when I need one, they keep us on track with vaccines and we’re just so happy to have found such an amazing place so close to us. My dogs are happy and healthy because of whitmire Adding to this review because it just makes me so happy every visit that we’ve found a place that makes it so stress free. My dogs have completely changed how they react in a vet environment! They’re happy to walk in and get excited, I’m amazed at how far they’ve come and it’s all thanks to the incredible staff at Whitmire! Also have emergency contacts for their hours that they’re closed and those emergency services are incredible too, VEG saved our little pittys life. Will be sad if I EVER have to change to another veterinarian we love this place

I highly recommend Whitmire Animal Hospital if your cat needs medical care. Our cat was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma wrapped around his leg, and amputation was the only option. Most clinics in the Atlanta area quoted around $5,500 for the procedure, and the more affordable ones were booked at least a month out... Time we didn’t have... Whitmire, on the other hand, saw our cat for a consultation the very next day and scheduled the surgery within the same week. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind and professional. The doctor was direct yet compassionate and he didn’t sugarcoat anything but made sure we understood our options. He also took the extra step of performing X-rays on the day of the procedure to check for any signs of the cancer spreading before proceeding with the amputation. The total cost for everything. X-rays, medication, and the surgery was about $2,600, which was an incredible price compared to what we had been quoted elsewhere. The amputation itself was clean, taken all the way to the top. Our cat recovered well, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you're in the metro Atlanta area and your pet ever needs an amputation or major procedure, call Whitmire first. You won’t find better care, faster service, or a more reasonable price anywhere else. Well worth the drive.

We were sent here as both my dogs needed health certificates to fly to another country and ti be honest we got such a good attention by everyone there, we just decided to make them our vet clinic of choice. They performed the physical exams needed and prescribed the medication day Required by the country we will get to, so mostly flea and tick treatment and the likes. Then we went to the airport and our flight got canceled twice and we had to reschedule and had to go back to the clinic to get new certificates and they only charged us a fraction of what the original cost was as they had basically had gone through the exams already, and no follow up was needed. Everyone was so nice to us, even my dogs loved them!
