Melissa Hopp is a very caring vet. She always takes her time and really listens. You can tell how much she loves animals. My poodle Stella was cut by her groomer. I didn't want the blue thing they wear around the neck. Melissa put a dog onesie on her so she couldn't keep licking her wound.

Weedsport Animal Hospital offers a comprehensive array of veterinary services to address the diverse needs of pets. As a full-service "Pet Hospital," their offerings encompass a wide range of medical, surgical, and preventive care. Key services typically include:
Preventive Services and Wellness Programs: This forms the cornerstone of their care, focusing on keeping pets healthy and preventing illnesses. This includes routine wellness examinations, tailored vaccination programs to protect against common diseases, and parasite control measures. Regular check-ups allow for early detection of potential health issues, leading to more effective and less invasive treatments.
Medical Services: For pets facing health challenges, Weedsport Animal Hospital provides diagnostic and treatment services for various medical conditions. While specific technologies aren't listed, a comprehensive animal hospital typically utilizes in-house laboratory testing, digital radiography, and possibly ultrasound to accurately diagnose ailments. Surgical Services: The hospital is equipped to perform various surgical procedures. Beyond routine procedures, they likely offer soft tissue surgeries to address internal issues, remove tumors, or repair injuries. Dental Care: Oral health is a critical aspect of overall pet well-being. Weedsport Animal Hospital is expected to offer professional dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar, as well as treatments for periodontal disease and extractions when necessary. Good dental hygiene can prevent more serious systemic health problems in pets.

Apr 06, 2025 · Carl TucilBest vet I've ever been to. Prices are average. Service is outstanding! They actually care about your pet not how much money they're making! Vet takes time to make sure you understand and also calls to check up on pet! Highly recommend!
Jan 20, 2021 · Don AlnuttThis new vet shows priorities over other customers. Over charges for things you don’t need they told me I was able to go on with my old grumpy dog entering the same way since previous doctor charged for office visit. Did not give proper directions for sedation. Told me I could not go in even though it’s noted my old man is difficult. While I watched them letting other owners in. Then because I dared to question the reason used my vaping as an excuse to not see any of my animals again. I’ve been going to vet since the early 90’s. Please see photo of sedation kicking in now. Do yourself a favor find a new vet that doesn’t over charge and shows favoritism to other pet owners because they don’t like your dog.
Jun 08, 2022 · Lisa BethDr. Schnabel and now Dr. Hopp are the best docs in the world. They’re compassionate and even when busy take the time to answer any questions you have and calm any fears you have with gentle honesty. My dog was super sick a few years back and they got him back to me. I trust them with my babies and can’t sing their praises enough. Their entire team are the best people I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. They care and work very very hard. They know my dog by name (if not personality!) and seem genuinely happy to see him/us. I trust them and you should as well.
