I’ve been to many other Vets and I can honestly say this office is the best! The office staff is always friendly and eager to help. Dr. Scott Dubato is amazing! He is respectful of my decisions regarding my dogs. He is never condescending. He is always willing to answer any questions I might have. If he doesn’t know an answer, he promptly researches it and lets me know. I highly recommend this practice to everyone with an animal.

May 23, 2024 · Cathy HellerEdit in response: Thank you for the jumbled date drops that lack in verbal/personal context, as you were not present, it underscores the accumulation of reasons we were forced to seek care elsewhere. As for the accusation of "running to social media" and circumventing a direct "face to face" conversation, I called to express my concerns almost a year ago and asked reception to inform vet of said concerns, or perhaps vet never received the message? According to my own records, I never received a call back from you or your associate, though it seems I have your attention now. That said, it might be a good time to extend a thank you to your receptionist, who hushedly referred us to the unbelievably caring dermatology and cardio team at VMCLI. Thankfully, their care saved and dramatically extended the life of our other dog, who also had a heart murmur that went overlooked in physical exams. To further correct your recollection of referrals, you received reports/records standardly and at our request, from any and all specialists in hopes to keep you, our primary vet at the time, abreast of their condition and care. To be clear, vet nor vet associate referred or recommended any applicable specialists. Additionally, "regarding both dogs" that you "have a record of being here March 2024" were in fact, exams for a cat and a dog, given that the other dog you're referring to in this context had since passed. Perhaps you'd like to correct that for your records, as well. As for all things Yorkie, we certainly followed up elsewhere for adequate care. The diagnosis and continued Glaucoma/ulcer treatment was provided to your associate by LIVS, not the other way around. The testing "refusals" you're referring to are not even worthy of a response due to absurdity and obvious breakdown in care and communication during and outside of exams. Again and as originally stated, "the yorkie" suffered needlessly at the end of his life, regardless of repeated expressed concerns about his weight, mobility, and posture. A blood test and physical exam elsewhere confirmed that this was due to advanced renal disease, which was accompanied by a tick borne disease and a UTI. By this time, it was too late to provide him with palliative care and as stated in my original review, was urgently euthanized. These are the facts. And now, regarding a very real patient experience you attempted to invalidate as "nonsense," I will state again, unflinchingly, that our dog left one of your exam rooms bleeding everywhere, which should concern you, and I will state again that our 4 lb kitten was brutally mishandled and traumatized, which again, should concern you. Relying on the falsities you prefer to effectuate this retaliatory attack, as you were not personally present for this event either, further supports my concerns about your temperament and the care and information provided by those in your charge, but maybe that's a conversation to be had with your associate. As for the timeline matter that you seem to think lends to your totally unprofessional response to a valid negative review, it is never too late to share an experience that could save others the same grief and unnecessary setbacks that we personally experienced. To state the obvious, I have no other vested interest in providing this review than to support others on their journey to finding adequate veterinary care, specifically for pets with special/advanced medical needs. Having said that, this isn't about you or your father's "small business," whose responsibilities as a medical care provider differ greatly from that of others, this is also not about your perceived victimhood or the recognition you believe you deserve for how "hard" you think you work or the "relationship" you think was had, but I do see that the impact of a negative review online is far more of a concern when it affects your business as opposed to when it affects the lives of your patients. Take note. The shame sir, is on you.
Mar 21, 2025 · L WGreat place to take your animal. They are sweet and compassionate and they know their stuff. And they are reasonably priced-considering how expensive it is to take care of an animal. I have brought my cat, Sammy there many times, and they are always gentle and kind to him.
Jan 24, 2024 · Lisa Ann LazaroSwitched from another local vet. The staff is so sweet and loving to my girls. Dr Scott is great hands on doctor. I love how he takes the first few moments and shows them some love and affection.
