I can say the vet herself was very caring and sweet but the receptionist should be fired. Took my very sick puppy to be treated and yes they did say that they did not accept payment plans but did not clearly state that the bill would be due the very next day. (1011.xx) after the card charge. When I walked in to see my Luna she jumped up full of excitement, but one of the staff members did something with a syringe and then she was very lethargic. I am only 19 years old and this was my first time being a pet owner. I am clearly shook up and frantically trying to figure out someway of paying the bill, trying to explain everything to the receptionist. She had just an overall sour attitude and was laughing at me. Dr vought herself was amazing and I thank her for taking care of Luna in her final hours. But I would not recommend the office, and I will not be taking any future animals there.

Welcome to Vought Veterinary Services LLC
Vought Veterinary Services LLC, located at 702 Coles Way, Derry, PA 15627, USA, serves as a comprehensive veterinary care provider for the local community and surrounding areas, including Westmoreland, Allegheny, and Fayette Counties. Led by Dr. Danielle L. Vought, this practice distinguishes itself by offering a unique blend of in-clinic services and a mobile veterinary service, bringing quality pet health and wellness directly to clients' doorsteps. This dual approach aims to minimize the stress often associated with traditional clinic visits for many animals, replacing it with the familiar and calming atmosphere of home.
Dr. Danielle L. Vought is a dedicated veterinarian who graduated from Seton Hill University in 2008 and earned her veterinary degree from Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After gaining experience at other practices, she established Vought Veterinary Services, growing it from a mobile-only service operating out of her home into the comprehensive practice it is today. Her passion for animals spans a wide range, from small companion animals like dogs and cats to pocket pets, horses, and various farm animals, reflecting her background and love for Western Pennsylvania's diverse animal community.
Vought Veterinary Services LLC operates from a physical clinic location, yet a significant aspect of their service model is their mobile veterinary clinic. This mobile unit allows them to conduct examinations, administer vaccinations, and provide various treatments directly at a client's home or farm. This is particularly beneficial for large animals, multiple-pet households, or pets that experience significant anxiety during travel or in a clinical setting. The philosophy behind this mobile service is to create a more relaxed and comfortable experience for the animals, thereby fostering a less "scary" environment. While details on the specific amenities of the physical clinic are not extensively provided, the focus on preventative medicine and a broad range of services implies a well-equipped facility that supports both routine and advanced care.
Vought Veterinary Services LLC is a mixed animal veterinary clinic, meaning they cater to a diverse clientele of both large and small animals. Their services are designed to provide comprehensive care, with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine. Key services include:
Wellness Exams: Essential physical examinations are conducted for all patients, with discounted prices available for multi-patient visits. These exams are foundational for preventative care and include discussions on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, as well as fecal testing.
Vaccinations: A full range of vaccinations are offered for dogs, cats, horses, cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, and other species, crucial for protecting animals from various diseases.
Spay & Neuter: These recommended procedures are available for most species, contributing to pet population control and overall animal health.
Surgery: The clinic provides a variety of surgical services under full anesthesia, ranging from minor lump removals to more complex orthopedic and major abdominal surgeries.
K-Laser Therapy: This advanced therapeutic option is available for treating a wide array of conditions, including hip dysplasia, stomatitis, infected wounds, and soft tissue trauma, offering a non-invasive approach to pain relief and healing.
In-house Diagnostics: The clinic utilizes a portable x-ray unit that serves both large animals on-site and small animals in the clinic, allowing for rapid and accurate radiographic diagnostics.
Micro-Chipping: This service provides permanent identification for pets, complete with free online registration paperwork and assistance with lifetime license and county courthouse registration.
Grooming: Therapeutic grooming, which may involve sedation, is offered. They also provide ear plucking, flushing, and cleaning, as well as nail trims and anal gland expressions. Recommendations for professional groomers are also available for everyday needs.
Consultations: Specialized consultations are offered for dermatologic, orthopedic, ophthalmic, and weight management concerns, providing tailored advice and treatment plans.
Health Certificates: Available for animals traveling to fairs, shows, or interstate.
Coggins Testing: Specifically for horses, this test is crucial for diagnosing Equine Infectious Anemia.
Emergency Care: The clinic provides emergency care both during normal office hours and after hours, subject to an additional fee and doctor availability, demonstrating their commitment to urgent animal needs.
At-Home Euthanasia: For compassionate end-of-life care, this service is offered in the comfort of the pet's home.
Online Pharmacy: Clients can order prescriptions and other pet health products online for direct shipment to their homes, offering convenience and accessibility.
The standout feature of Vought Veterinary Services LLC is its mobile veterinary service. This significantly enhances accessibility to veterinary care, particularly for large animal owners or those with pets who find clinic visits stressful. The ability to receive care on the farm or at home is a major convenience and reflects a client-centric approach. Dr. Vought's broad expertise as a mixed animal practitioner is another key differentiator, allowing her to serve a wide variety of animals, from companion pets to livestock. This versatility is highly valued in the rural and semi-rural communities she serves. The practice also emphasizes preventative medicine as its primary goal, aiming to keep animals happy and healthy through proactive care rather than just treating illnesses. The availability of advanced diagnostic tools like portable digital radiography and specialized treatments such as K-Laser therapy further underscore their commitment to modern veterinary practices.
Customer feedback, while varied, often highlights Dr. Vought's personal approach and caring nature. One review specifically praises her responsiveness and willingness to see a dog late in the evening outside of regular hours, demonstrating a dedication to patient comfort and owner peace of mind. This commitment to going "above and beyond" for urgent situations is a strong positive aspect of the practice's service delivery.
Vought Veterinary Services LLC promotes its mission to provide "compassionate care to animals large and small". Their core promotional message would emphasize the convenience and reduced stress offered by their mobile veterinary service, alongside the comprehensive care available at their clinic. They highlight their ability to remove the "scary" clinic environment by bringing care to the comfort of the animal's home. The phrase "preventative medicine being our #1 goal to keep your animals happy and healthy" would likely be central to their marketing, appealing to owners who prioritize long-term wellness for their pets and livestock.
The practice also accepts CareCredit, a valuable promotional point for clients seeking flexible financing options for veterinary expenses. Their online pharmacy offers a convenient way for clients to access medications and supplies, further enhancing client convenience. While one customer review pointed out a negative experience with the administrative staff regarding payment clarity and attitude, the positive feedback consistently praises Dr. Vought's direct involvement and empathetic approach. This suggests that the strength of the practice lies heavily in the veterinary care provided by Dr. Vought herself. Therefore, promotion would wisely focus on her expertise, compassionate care, and the unique convenience of the mobile service.
For inquiries or to schedule an appointment, Vought Veterinary Services LLC can be reached at (724) 433-1377 or via mobile at +1 724-433-1377. Their BBB A+ rating also indicates a commitment to good business practices.

May 16, 2025 · KylieShe was absolutely amazing. I texted the oncall number. She got back to me right away. After talking about everything she said my dog would be OK till morning. Not to waste an emergency visit or money. BUT.. I was still nervous and scared and wanted my dog checked out. She met me late in the evening after she got home. Checked my doggy out and made sure she was comfortable. Thank you so much for opening up and seeing my furkid..
Apr 05, 2025 · Brian McdowellI have used them since bringing my beautiful boy home and here he was a few weeks ago when we arrived for his neutering. They took excellent care of him and he's fully healed and wonderfully back to his old self. We love and trust them!
Aug 05, 2024 · Bri AustinI am so thankful for Dr. Vought! After being with my vet for several years my dog started to have some skin issues. My concerns were ignored for months. As soon as I went to see Dr. Vought she sat down and listened to me and discussed several options that would work not only cost wise but what would work best for my dog. Immediately after being seen he felt relief. We travel over 3 hours to come here and it is well worth the trip! Staff is friendly, place is clean, and most importantly your concerns are heard.
Mar 28, 2024 · Kelsey HenryMy experiences with Dr Vought have been very positive. I have gone to different veterinarians over the years with my dogs, but she is by far the best …she’s easy to talk to, and to the point. The techs in the office are so sweet, polite and professional, and they always get back to me if I call with a question or concern. I love Dr. Vought and I trust her with Lila.
