Our 14 year old dog, Sammy, was diagnosed with lung cancer and we realized that he was at the end of his time with us. We reached out to Dr. Viano and she could not have been more supportive and helpful. Instead of going to the vet’s office for euthanasia, Dr. Viano was able to help Sammy leave the earth where he was most comfortable, his bed into our living room. I’m happy that we made the choice for at-home euthanasia with Dr. Viano and couldn’t recommend her more.

Welcome to Viano Veterinary Services

This detailed introduction focuses on Viano Veterinary Services, a unique and specialized veterinary care provider operating within the broader "Pet Hospital" category. Unlike a traditional brick-and-mortar clinic, Viano Veterinary Services primarily offers mobile veterinary care, with a distinct specialization in providing compassionate at-home euthanasia for pets in Poughkeepsie, NY, and surrounding areas. This service fills a crucial need for pet owners seeking a peaceful and dignified end-of-life experience for their beloved companions in the comfort of their own homes.

Viano Veterinary Services is based in Poughkeepsie, NY 12603, with a contact address listed on Overlook Rd. For direct communication and to arrange services, clients can reach Dr. Viano via phone at (845) 244-1160 or through mobile at +1 845-244-1160. This mobile service allows Dr. Viano to travel to the pet's residence, which is a significant advantage for elderly, anxious, or critically ill animals, as well as for owners who prefer the privacy and comfort of their home during such a sensitive time.

Given that Viano Veterinary Services operates as a mobile veterinary service, the "environment" of care is largely the client's home. This is a deliberate and central aspect of their service delivery. By bringing veterinary care directly to the pet's familiar surroundings, Dr. Viano significantly reduces the stress and anxiety that pets often experience in a clinic setting. For end-of-life care, this means a pet can pass away peacefully in their own bed, surrounded by their family, rather than in an unfamiliar and potentially frightening clinical environment. This personalized, in-home setting creates a truly comforting and private atmosphere for both the pet and their grieving family, which is consistently highlighted as a major benefit by clients. While there isn't a traditional clinic waiting room or examination area, the environment provided is one of profound empathy and respect, tailored to the specific needs of the animal and family at that moment.

The core service offered by Viano Veterinary Services, as strongly indicated by client reviews, is compassionate at-home euthanasia. This specialized service is designed to provide a gentle and dignified passing for pets when their quality of life has diminished. The process involves Dr. Viano coming to the client's home, allowing the pet to remain in a comfortable and familiar environment. Clients praise Dr. Viano for taking her time, not rushing the process, and treating both the pet and the family with "kindness and compassion." While the primary focus is on end-of-life care, the testimonials emphasize the comprehensive support provided, which extends beyond the medical procedure itself to include emotional support for the grieving family. Although not explicitly stated, mobile veterinarians often provide other basic services such as wellness checks, vaccinations, or minor treatments for pets who are uncomfortable with clinic visits, but the strong emphasis in the provided information is on the euthanasia service. Therefore, while Dr. Viano may offer other general mobile veterinary services, her highly recommended specialization is in palliative and end-of-life care.

The key features of Viano Veterinary Services are centered around the exceptional personal qualities and professional approach of Dr. Viano herself. She is consistently described as "wonderful and professional," "supportive and helpful," "punctual," "communicative," "kind," and "empathetic." These attributes are crucial for a service that deals with such a sensitive and emotional moment in a pet owner's life. The ability to provide a "peaceful, and respectful at home euthanasia" is a standout feature, enabling families to say goodbye in a way that minimizes stress for their pet. Another significant feature highlighted by clients is that Dr. Viano's rates are "quite reasonable," which is particularly important given the emotional and financial stresses often associated with end-of-life pet care. The fact that she "did not rush us, she took her time" underscores her commitment to allowing families the space and time they need for this profound experience. This personalized, unhurried approach sets her apart and is deeply valued by those who utilize her services. The mobile nature of the service itself is a defining feature, providing unparalleled convenience and comfort.

In terms of promotional information, specific traditional advertising campaigns or discounts are not detailed in the provided information. However, the most powerful form of promotion for Viano Veterinary Services comes directly from the overwhelming positive word-of-mouth referrals and heartfelt testimonials from grateful clients. The reviews serve as a compelling endorsement, conveying the deep satisfaction and comfort that families experienced during a very difficult time. Phrases like "couldn't recommend her more" and "we highly recommend Dr. Viano" are incredibly potent promotional statements, resonating strongly with potential clients who are facing similar decisions. The reasonable rates also act as a strong draw, as this service provides a premium experience (at-home care) often at a cost that is accessible to many. The very nature of the service — providing compassionate care in the comfort of one's home — is a unique selling proposition that appeals to pet owners seeking a more personal and less clinical end-of-life experience for their animal companions. Dr. Viano's reputation for empathy and professionalism, as evidenced by these reviews, is her primary promotional asset.

In conclusion, Viano Veterinary Services, led by Dr. Viano, stands out as a specialized mobile "Pet Hospital" focusing on compassionate at-home euthanasia in Poughkeepsie, NY. While it does not operate from a traditional clinic, its in-home service provides an unparalleled environment of comfort and familiarity for pets during their final moments. The core service is at-home euthanasia, delivered with remarkable empathy, professionalism, and punctuality. Key features include Dr. Viano's patient and kind demeanor, reasonable rates, and the invaluable convenience of the mobile service. Her primary promotion stems from the deeply positive experiences shared by clients who commend her for providing a peaceful and respectful transition for their beloved pets in the comfort of their own homes. For pet owners in the Poughkeepsie area seeking a compassionate and personalized end-of-life experience for their animal companions, Viano Veterinary Services comes highly recommended.

Dr. Viano was wonderful and professional. She allowed us to have a peaceful, and respectful at home euthanasia for our beloved cat, Kiki. She was punctual , communicative, professional, kind, and empathetic. Her rates were also quite reasonable. Dr. Via no did not rush us, she took her time; and treated Kiki and both of us kindness and compassion. Thank you, we highly recommend Dr. Viano

The decision to euthanize your beloved pet is one of the hardest things a human being has to do. Our 14 year old standard poodle, Mindy, had gotten to a point in her very long life where we could tell she was in pain. She had stopped eating, drinking, and was wagging her tail only to please us. I investigated seven different veterinarians on the Internet, and for me, this seemed to be the best for us. Dr. Annie was kind, caring, and explained each step of the procedure before & during. Her compassion was very evident. Mindy quite literally, just fell asleep. If you have a second dog I would suggest you allow them in the room. It was suggested, and I have seen that on some level Buddy, her son, realized in his own way that she is gone. I wish I had used Viano Veterinary services for my dogs before our tragic need. I can only say that if the care for the living animals is the same as it was for our Mindy in her final moments, there should be no hesitation in anyone calling and making this veterinary service yours and your pet place of choice. Selfishly I have attached a picture of our girl at her best we do miss her terribly, but know that she is out of pain and running free.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Viano and the unprecedented care and comfort she provided to not only our beloved family dog in her last minutes of life but to me, my husband and our grieving children as if she were part of our family, saying a final goodbye in our home. Our conversations bordered on personal therapy for me as she talked me through one of the hardest life decisions I've had to make for my aging, ailing first "fur baby." I would recommend her and any affiliating practices without hesitation to anyone considering employing her services.

Pearlycakes got sick so suddenly. I was & still am in a state of shock. I’m glad we took her for bloodwork the day before. We weren’t totally sure if she could be saved at that point, but then Pearl went even more downhill. Then we got the bad news bloodwork results. Dr Viano was so patient and helpful. I’m grateful she could come over so quickly. I really appreciate the way she explained what was going on, every step of the way. Very caring and considerate. This was the best possible way for Pearlycakes to leave us. It’s amazing to have this service in the home. The final resting basket and fur keepsake meant a lot. These final memories are not quite so upsetting compared to other losses, since it was easier on Pearl this way. Also taking comfort to think that she’s no longer suffering. Now I’m imagining she’s playing across the rainbow bridge with another cat that we lost a few years ago. Thank you so much for your kindness as well as the expert service. (Pic of a rainbow & Pearl)
