I took my kitty to Veterinary Village because we’re new to the area and chose them based on location. I am so happy with my choice! Dr. Hutsebaut and staff were warm and welcoming. They were prepared for Kitten’s behaviors (she had none for them!) and gave her a great checkup. It was smooth and not scary. Some vets offices are more cold and callus…not here. I felt like family from the moment that I walked in.

I am not one to leave reviews but I was just blown away by the service we received on 4/19/2025! My dog was just not himself and, given it was a Saturday of a holiday weekend, I called the Appleton emergency clinic that told us to just wait to see our normal vet or to find an urgent care vet. Vet Village staff quickly got us in and got a diagnosis for us. Thank goodness they did so as Dr. Greer and the team found that his platelet levels were severely low and had we waited, my dog may not have made it to an appointment with his primary. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful in explaining the next steps and answering every question we had. Today is Easter Sunday and Dr Greer called me to check in on how the night had went and to see how things were going with my boy today. Both my partner and I were just blown away at the care and attention to detail that went into this unexpected visit. We were also beyond pleased with the cost of this visit, labs, and 4 medications on such short notice. Truly the best experience I could have asked for!

Very disappointed with the bedside manner I received from the surgeon who was supposed to perform the surgery on my dog and the lack of knowledge around sedatives. From the initial encounter with this surgeon, I was shamed and briefly lectured for choosing to not to proceed with the removal of my pet's hind dewclaws which was added on as an addition to his neuter surgery. I couldn’t afford the estimated quote at the time and chose not to proceed with the additional procedure. The addition wasn't a necessity nor was it mandatory, but I was rudely told that I was "going to regret not having his (my pet's) hind dewclaws removed" in a seemingly intimidating tone. An hour after I had dropped my pet off, I received a call that he was experiencing a high degree high grade AV blockage and that they wouldn't be proceeding with the surgery. It was incredibly suspicious that my very healthy dog who takes 2-3 daily walks, eats well and has clean digestion/ bowel movements was suddenly experiencing a cardiac concern after the injection of the sedative(s). I challenged the surgeon's diagnosis and recommendation for my dog to see a cardiologist given his health presented no concerns prior to receiving sedation. Furthermore, I questioned whether it could have been the sedatives that caused this AV blockage, but the surgeon stated she “doubted that would have been the cause” and urged me to consult a cardiologist. After extensive reading, I have found numerous articles below claiming there is reported knowledge of this sedative (atropine) and the others (ACE and Trob) being known to cause AV blockages. I cannot even begin to explain how utterly disgusted and disappointed I am for the denial of this knowing that she’s most likely aware that these sedative cause this as she's been practicing long enough to be knowledgeable of these potential risks. The paperwork she handed me with my pets medical records for the day even stated the risk of AV blockage from the sedative and she STILL DENIED IT. She lied right to my face all while urging me to seek cardiac medical attention for something their sedative caused. My dog is only a few days post sedation and I have been monitoring his health, but I will not be pleased if his health begins to decline because of this carelessness.

Dr Kovaleski was amazing! Her knowledge and explanations were top notch! She presented findings in great detail with easy to understand terms. Being a Dr myself for 35 years, I found that impressive at her younger age. Most younger Drs don’t usually “ bring it down” to a lay person’s level! Call back the next day was very caring and detailed! 5⭐️ are not enough. Well done!!

Unfortunately, I had to inquire about euthanasia for my dog. The entire staff was extremely helpful, respectful, and sincere about the process. The rooms were beautiful with a patio door looking outside. I was grateful that my guy could watch the birds and cats playing outside as a distraction during this process. Again, the entire staff was helpful, answering all questions that I had. They were patient and very kind throughout this difficult process. It makes a world of difference when there's a staff who cares in a customer service role, especially within the healthcare industry. You could tell that everyone cared. 💙
