I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this veterinary clinic. After my regular vet shut down, I had no choice but to bring my 5-year-old dog here, as they were open 24 hours. Unfortunately, the professionalism and care were nonexistent. When I brought my dog in due to wheezing, the staff immediately diagnosed him as dehydrated, despite us knowing he had been constipated for days, which could have been the cause of his symptoms. They insisted on keeping him overnight, only to add unnecessary charges, and never disclosed that he was unlikely to survive. Sadly, my dog passed away a few hours later. What made the situation worse was their lack of compassion and respect. Throughout the process, they referred to my dog as "it," completely disregarding the emotional bond we had as a family. After his passing, they tried to sell us cremation or coffin packages as if there were no other options, showing no sensitivity to our grief. To top it off, when we came to pick up his body after calling them multiple times over three days to confirm everything was in order, they had forgotten to thaw him out, further adding to the frustration and heartache. My issue is with the business itself and how they handled a very sensitive situation. To them your pet is not a family member it is just an animal. They lack professionalism, empathy, and basic respect for families going through a loss. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone based on my experience. In the photos you can see how he was treated he looked so sad and even when we didn't want to leave him over night they INSISTED. We prepared our own goodbye cocoon for him since we didn't want to give this place even more money and supporting their business

Mar 06, 2025 · Dee RThis is our second visit to VEG for our dog and first overnight stay (2nights). She had ingested some large double chocolate chip muffins and an unknown amount of grapes. We were seen right away and Dr. Turturro immediately jumped into action. She was fabulous along with Dr. Donahue and Dr. Jacobson. They explained everything to me every step of the way and were always reassuring. They treated my dog as if she were one of their own while updating me through her stay at VEG. This is the only emergency vet hospital that I would bring my dog to, hands down. Thank you so much everyone who took such good care of our baby!
Mar 07, 2025 · Dana Jo KetchelI brought my dog in for an emergency appointment and they were able to see her right away. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. We had to get some tests done and I was able to wait there and discuss the results in the same session. Would definitely go back and recommend them to anyone who needs an emergency vet!
Mar 01, 2025 · Katherine DavidsonBrought my kitten in yesterday due to a little injury that required his paw pad to get stitched. My cat is my whole world, so naturally I was a hysterical wreck. The entire care time was so, so lovely and compassionate. They brought me over tissues and water. They continuously checked up on me, which I appreciated. I really appreciated the way they kept me updated. Every half hour or so they would let me know what was going on, what we were waiting on, and what was happening next. They were honest and upfront with us about cost (which was quite high, but not their fault) and about timing. Most of all, I could tell they were really taking good care of my little dude. I watched them interact with other owners/pets and they were all so kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place (if god forbid your pet should ever need emergency care).
