Had a puppy emergency and was recommended this location from our vet, GLAD we took our baby here. The entire team are empathetic, experts, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. From the moment I got on the phone with them until discharge w follow up, VEG has been nothing short of exemplary. I was immediately put to ease and comfy. This is a good place. Couldn’t ask for better. They also have complimentary coffee and snacks, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to all the doctors, vet technicians, specialists, attendees, front desk people who were so nice to me and my puppy. THANK YOU ♥️

Aug 13, 2024 · Wilson FujinagaAmazing ER veterinary group. VEG lets you be near your pet u like any other ER vet I’ve ever seen. Brought my kitty in with congestive heart failure where he needed to be in O2 for 20+ hours. They brought me a chair to sit with him and always let me know what they were doing every time they checked on him. Huge advocates for their animal patients. We were allowed to bring his own bed/blankets and food even. Other places discourage it because it will be lost in the laundry. Shows me attention to detail in keeping their pet clients comfy while sick. Water, coffee, and snacks available for humans. If you call, you can actually speak to a vet instead of just the front staff (like many ER places I’ve called or been to) 100% recommend.
Dec 10, 2024 · Devin McCurdyOur senior Yorkie pup suffered a severe medical emergency in the late evening that left her partially paralyzed and unresponsive. It was clear immediately that a recovery was unlikely. After seeking veterinary help from 2 other places in Rockville, both of which were too understaffed to help, we were directed to VEG in Georgetown, as we were told it is open 24 hours and will always take a pet emergency. We arrived at VEG around midnight. The staff and the lead vet were completely professional and fully sympathetic and caring as we explained the situation. After some basic tests, the lead vet had a heart-to-heart conversation with us about our pet's condition, and the possible outcomes. With this knowledge, we made the hard decision to help our pup cross over the rainbow bridge. The VEG team provided us all of the details the procedure, giving the highest level of compassion and respect to our pup and us the entire time. We were not rushed, and were able to say our good-byes privately. VEG offered several services and options for after our pup passed on, which also helped in this difficult time. Two weeks after our pup passed, we received a sympathy card from VEG signed by the staff. This is the type of sincere care both pets and humans need and appreciate. Though our first and last visit to VEG was an unfortunate situation, I highly recommend them for their professionalism, veterinary knowledge, and their compassion. It's clear that the team at VEG cares deeply for their pet patients and pet parents, too.
Dec 11, 2024 · Ernest AchenbachA amazing group of committed and extremely knowledgeable veterinarians, nurses and technicians. My little Pearl was admitted to VEG with kidney and liver damage having been infected with Leptospira. This can be a deadly infection that can cause damage to the liver, kidneys, and pancreas. Pear survived only because of the quick decision making by the staff as to how to treat Pearl. She survived and left after five days of emergency care.
Sep 06, 2024 · lmrThe team here from the person I talked to on the phone to the whole staff when I was there was absolutely incredible. They were supportive, kind, and transparent. I went on a Tuesday morning and there was no wait. My dog gets a little stressed in these situations and they made sure to put us in a private room where she could stay calm and not disturb the other pets in the treatment area.
