The experience was good and the vets were attentive and helpful. However my pets birthdates were put in wrong and I don’t like that I am paying over $100 for an exam and vaccines for my pet that given he need antibiotics for something found within the exam, the Petco vet can not write me a prescription for those antibiotics. Therefore I’m supposed to go pay another vet for another exam just to get the prescription I need. That is ridiculous and needs to be addressed and changed ASAP!! That is a problem.

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital conveniently located inside the Petco at 13390 Clemson Blvd, Seneca, SC 29678, USA. As a vaccination clinic operating within a larger pet retail environment, Vetco likely focuses on providing accessible and routine veterinary services, primarily vaccinations, but potentially also basic health exams. The provided address indicates its co-location within a Petco store, which might influence the environment and the scope of services offered. The customer reviews offer insights into the attentiveness of the vets and staff, but also highlight some limitations regarding prescriptions and data accuracy.
Given that Vetco Vaccination Clinic is situated within a Petco store, the environment is likely integrated with the retail space. This could mean that the clinic area itself might be a dedicated section within the store, offering examination rooms and a space for administering vaccinations. Customers might benefit from the convenience of accessing veterinary services while also being able to shop for pet supplies. One review mentions that the "vets were attentive and helpful," suggesting a positive interaction within the clinic space. Another reviewer, while primarily commenting on the overall Petco store experience, noted that the employees were "very polite & helpful," which could extend to the Vetco clinic staff as well. The cleanliness of the animal habitats in the Petco store was also mentioned positively, which might reflect the general standards maintained within the Vetco clinic area. However, neither review provides specific details about the clinic's layout or ambiance. To gain a clearer understanding of the environment of the Vetco Vaccination Clinic itself, visiting the Petco location or contacting them directly at (864) 722-6120 or +1 864-722-6120 would be the best approach.
As a "Vaccination Clinic," the primary services offered by Vetco likely revolve around preventive care, particularly vaccinations for dogs and cats. This would typically include essential vaccines such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and others depending on the pet's species and lifestyle. The first review mentions paying over $100 for an exam and vaccines, confirming that these services are indeed offered. The fact that an exam was conducted suggests that Vetco might provide basic health checks prior to vaccination. However, a significant limitation highlighted in the same review is that the Petco vet (presumably at the Vetco clinic) could not write a prescription for antibiotics needed by the pet, which were identified during the exam. This implies that while they can diagnose certain conditions requiring medication, their ability to prescribe might be restricted, necessitating a visit to a full-service veterinary hospital for prescriptions. Therefore, the services likely include:
- Vaccinations: For various common pet diseases.
- Basic Health Examinations: Conducted in conjunction with vaccinations.
- Potentially, other preventive care services: Such as parasite control discussions.
However, it appears they may not offer the full scope of services of a traditional Pet Hospital, especially regarding the prescription of medications beyond preventative treatments. To get a comprehensive list of all services and understand their limitations, contacting them directly is recommended.
The features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, based on the customer reviews, include:
- Attentive and Helpful Vets: One reviewer specifically noted the positive interaction with the veterinarians.
- Convenient Location within Petco: This offers the ease of accessing veterinary services while shopping for pet supplies.
- Polite and Helpful Staff: The positive comments about Petco employees might extend to the Vetco clinic staff.
However, a notable drawback mentioned is:
- Limitations on Prescribing Medications: The inability to prescribe antibiotics, requiring a separate vet visit, is a significant constraint.
- Potential for Data Entry Errors: Incorrect birthdates being recorded is a concern for accurate pet records.
The focus on vaccinations likely makes it a convenient option for routine preventive care, but for pets needing treatment beyond vaccinations or prescriptions, it might not be a one-stop solution.
No specific promotional information for Vetco Vaccination Clinic is mentioned in the provided reviews. Vaccination clinics sometimes offer package deals or discounts on certain services. To inquire about any current promotions, contacting them directly would be necessary.
For local users in Seneca, SC, Vetco Vaccination Clinic inside Petco offers a convenient option for routine pet vaccinations and potentially basic health exams. The vets are reported to be attentive and helpful, and the co-location with Petco can be advantageous for pet owners needing to shop for supplies. However, it is crucial to be aware of the potential limitations, such as the inability to obtain prescriptions for certain medications, which might necessitate a visit to a full-service Pet Hospital if your pet requires such treatment. Additionally, it would be wise to double-check the accuracy of your pet's records. For those primarily seeking vaccinations, Vetco could be a suitable choice, but for more comprehensive veterinary care, you might need to look elsewhere. To learn more about their specific services, hours, and any current promotions, please contact Vetco Vaccination Clinic at (864) 722-6120 or +1 864-722-6120.

Feb 25, 2025 · Gina YatesBeing a rescue foster, I prefer to support Petco because of their dedication to helping rescue organizations. I also understand the importance of great customer service. Each time that I have been in this Petco, the employees have been very polite & helpful. At one visit, I was searching for a specific feed for my chickens. While I know that Petco doesn't have a lot to offer pet chickens, the nice young man was able to assist me in finding exactly what I needed. The cashiers are always pleasant & prompt; the store is always tidy; the animal habitats are clean with fresh water; and the merchandise is always well stocked. It is an overall enjoyable shopping experience.
Aug 29, 2021 · Alicia HarperI love the convenience of bringing my pets to Petco vaccination clinics because the weekend hours work really well for me. My only complaint is that the check-in process takes far too long. That is NOT THE FAULT of the employee working. I think your system is slow to respond and too complicated. I also had to wait almost 40 minutes beyond my appointment time and there was nowhere to sit and wait. I would suggest Petco put out some chairs or temporary benches or something. I am unable to stand for that long and had to sit on the store floor. Outside of those two issues, all of the employees were kind, cheerful, and considerate, and the visit part of the trip was done efficiently but still with care from the doctor and her vet tech. They were gentle and sweet to my very scared cat and got her exam and shots done quickly so she could go back in her carrier.
