If you have an emergency and need to act quickly to save your pet, stay away from this place. My dog had eaten rice in the plastic and sugar on the 24th, which was what I believed to be the first thing, and then she started vomiting the next day. I took her to my veterinarian first, and the problem persisted, so I started from there. He recommended an x-ray and a blood test. He said everything was normal and that it was just gas. He prescribed a medicine that stopped the vomiting and diarrhea. However, my dog was constipated and did not have diarrhea, and the plan of action should have been to remove what she had ingested and not something to contain the feces. Well, trusting the doctor, who I thought was competent, I took my dog home and treated her as recommended, but she continued to be constipated, until one morning she simply defecated only blood from her anus, a significant amount. So I ran to them, before they even opened. He left there saying that he was going to do an endoscopy, and that I should pick her up at 4 pm. I spent the whole day waiting for some news and nothing. But I thought everything was fine. However, when I went to pick up my dog, he said he couldn't do the endoscopy because it was blocked and that I had said she was spayed, but that it didn't seem like she had been spayed, and that was why he couldn't insert the tube, with those exact words. I immediately questioned him: what did the stomach have to do with my dog's uterus???? He said it was confusing and couldn't explain it to me. From then on, with this nonsensical argument, I was afraid he would open my dog up to operate. The first time he said it was gas, which made her situation worse, and the second time he gave this nonsensical justification!!! At that point, my daughter was wasting her time, and I took her home in a worse state than I had left her. I spent the last night in terror with my daughter. The vomiting returned, the defecation was only blood, and she started to faint. Something very wrong happened there. The next morning, on the way to another hospital, my daughter passed away… I believed and trusted this incompetent hospital twice. They don’t have the level of knowledge to deal with emergencies. This couldn’t even be called a hospital. My daughter spent 5 days in agony in pain, and her situation was made worse by a wrong diagnosis and medical negligence.

Welcome to Vermont Animal Hospital

Vermont Animal Hospital is a Pet Hospital located at 1502 S Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90006, USA. As a Pet Hospital, it is expected to provide a range of veterinary services to address the health needs of pets in the local community. These services typically encompass emergency care, routine check-ups, diagnostics, treatments for illnesses and injuries, and surgical procedures.

Information regarding the environment of Vermont Animal Hospital is not detailed in the provided reviews. One review focuses heavily on a specific emergency experience and the perceived competence of the medical staff, while the other expresses gratitude for the support received during a pet's illness. Therefore, an objective description of the clinic's ambiance, cleanliness, or facilities cannot be derived from this information alone. To understand the environment, one might need to visit the location or seek additional details from other online sources, if available.

The services that Vermont Animal Hospital purportedly offers can be inferred from the experiences shared in the reviews. One review describes seeking care for a dog that ingested plastic and sugar and subsequently experienced vomiting and constipation, eventually leading to a dire emergency. This suggests that the hospital aims to provide diagnostic services (as an x-ray and blood test were recommended by the initial vet the owner saw before coming to Vermont Animal Hospital for a second opinion), and treatment for various ailments. The mention of a planned endoscopy also indicates that they may offer more advanced diagnostic or interventional procedures. However, the outcome described in this review raises serious concerns about the quality of care and the accuracy of diagnoses in emergency situations, according to this particular pet owner's account.

In contrast, the second review expresses gratitude to the doctor and staff for their kindness and support during a pet's illness, indicating that positive and helpful experiences can also occur at Vermont Animal Hospital. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality of care perceived by different pet owners or in different circumstances.

Features of Vermont Animal Hospital are not explicitly listed. However, based on the reviews, potential features could include the availability of emergency services (though the quality of emergency care is heavily criticized in one account) and a caring staff (as mentioned in the positive review). The availability of diagnostic tools like X-rays and the potential for procedures like endoscopy might also be considered features, although the application and outcome of these are questioned in one of the provided experiences.

There is no promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. Pet hospitals sometimes offer introductory offers for new patients or promotions on specific services. To learn if Vermont Animal Hospital has any current promotions, it would be necessary to contact them directly.

You can reach Vermont Animal Hospital by phone at (213) 263-9500 or mobile phone at +1 213-263-9500. Their address is 1502 S Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90006, USA. If you are in the Los Angeles area and considering Vermont Animal Hospital for your pet's care, it is important to note the starkly contrasting experiences reported by the two reviewers. One describes a tragic outcome with allegations of misdiagnosis and negligence in an emergency situation, while the other praises the doctor and staff for their support during a pet's illness.

Given this dichotomy, it would be prudent for potential clients to weigh these experiences and perhaps seek additional recent reviews or consider a preliminary consultation to assess if Vermont Animal Hospital meets their expectations for pet care, especially in emergency situations. You can contact them at the provided phone number to inquire further about their services, environment, and the qualifications of their veterinary staff.

In conclusion, Vermont Animal Hospital in Los Angeles offers veterinary services that may include emergency care, diagnostics, and treatments. Customer reviews present significantly different perspectives, with one detailing a deeply negative experience in an emergency leading to a pet's death, and another expressing gratitude for the support received during a pet's illness. Potential clients should consider these differing accounts when making decisions about their pet's care and may wish to seek further information directly from the hospital or other sources.

Recently, my mom had a very upsetting experience at the hospital. While she was in the exam room speaking with the staff, a young doctor suddenly entered, blocked her, and abruptly stated that our cat shouldn’t receive the vaccine. Our family has been visiting this hospital for a long time and had explicitly requested Dr. An, so we were confused about why she ended up seeing someone else. When she asked the staff, they explained that he was a new doctor. How can that new doctor barge in and scold the staff in front of my mom? His behavior was unprofessional and extremely rude. We never want to experience that again and certainly don’t want to see him in the future. He seriously needs to improve his customer service and communication skills.

Friendly compassionate staff. Sadly I recently had to take my dog to put her down due to her deteriorating condition and they made it very easy for me during this very difficult moment. My dog was in a state where she could no longer move her hind legs making it impossible for her to walk and two staff members came out with a gurney to help carry her from my car to a room. The Vet explained the process in a very simple understandable way, and allowed me extra time to say my goodbyes. They take walk-ins but appointments are recommended if you’re looking to be in and out as quickly as possible.

This was my first time visiting this clinic referred by a friend and also my first puppy and i came for her shots. I called to make an appointment and very friendly stuff scheduled me the same week. When i arrived they quickly took us in and the whole process from filling out the forms to doctors examination and shots was very easy , quick and comfortable for my puppy. The doctor was knowledgeable and service prompt and professional. Scheduled her in 3 weeks and she will definitely have no stress coming back and i am so happy about it. Prices are super affordable. Definitely recommend to come here.
