VCA Woodbridge Animal Hospital

Our elderly dog went in and it turned out he had a large tumor in his belly. The doctors were excellent laying out our options and we decided surgical intervention was best. They treated him like a prince. He is clearly comfortable with the care givers. I would highly recommend this practice. The front desk folks are professional and pleasant as well!

I highly recommend VCA animal hospital. They have a great staff, always helpful and available. My King Charles Cavalier receives great care whether it's routine vaccines, questions about his test results (he has a heart murmur),or appointments with Dr. Meyer. The front desk staff is always welcoming and the techs are well educated in veterinary care as well.

Britani G is my saving grace and an answer to prayer. I had called VCA because my dog had a cardiac tamponade that had been emergently drained at another facility a week prior. I was trying to see if there was fluid building back up around his heart. If there was, I was going to put my dog down because the other hospital gave him 48 hours to a week to live. However, I was struggling with the idea because he acts like a puppy still and has been healthy and active up until he dropped. Well, she helped me coordinate a follow up ultrasound at the cheapest rate possible. I was in tears and had called 8 other facilities but the exam was so expensive after we had already spent so much on his emergency visit and procedure. We hung up and I had an appointment for the next day. Next day came around, the VCA called me back they said they were canceling my appointment her an I made. I was absolutely devastated. I started making arrangements to put my dog down because no one would help and I didn’t want him to just drop dead of another cardiac tamponade while we were out of the house. Well a few hours later Britney apparently heard about what happened and actually CALLED ME, apologized about the confusion and had an appointment for me in a couple hours. It was by far an answer to prayer and she had advocated for me and my pup. Needless to say, my dog doesn’t have fluid around his heart for right now (that they could see) and he is now a surgical candidate for the spleendectomy he needs in order to hopefully survive! We are now on day 8 post tamponade, trying to find a cheaper way to get receive the surgery. We’ve already spent so much and sometimes it feels like it’s about making money. However, it’s people like Britani G, that go the extra mile when things that don’t necessarily fit in the box and help that makes the world of difference. Thank you Britani and thank you to the director and provider that helped out ❤️. Their staff is always so friendly but I had to rave about Britney because she is absolutely amazing and has no idea the difference she made in our lives just by being a kind human and sincere human being ❤️. #shoutingfromtherooftops You’re amazing Britani! Dr. Meyer sees one of my reactive dogs, Kobe. She always gives me a peace of mind when taking care of my boy. I never have to worry and I never feel judged that he is not easy to handle at the vet. Her and her team have seen him for 2 years now, and I truly feel like he has become better at the vet thanks to his great experiences with her. They go slow with him, read his body language and give him all the love even though he can be tough to handle! Thankful for them!
