As a new customer, I love this place already. 1. Dr. Punton is awesome! He listens carefully, treated my cat gently, gave me great advices. He is also very flexible in terms of my cat’s treatment plan and willing to adjust based on my special needs. He did not try to over-treat my cat or over-sell unnecessary vaccines, which gained my trust instantly. 2. The manager here is super kind and warmhearted. I found this place online after my cat got mistreated at another vet’s. And she listened to my complaints and showed great sympathy to my cat. And she managed to squeeze me into their busy schedule on a Saturday. 3. The receptionist and the nurse are welcoming and nice. They are knowledgeable about the work, and efficient in communications. 4. The price is not bad. Medications and vaccines are all at affordable prices. 5. VCA’s mobile phone app/online system works well. I guess that’s a perk coming with the large VCA network. 6. There’s a free welcome package to new customers that includes one dose of tick/flee medication, a small bag of food and some toys for my cat. This is a plus on top of the super positive experience with the crew.

Apr 01, 2022 · Brian LeeThe lady that picked up the phone, customer service is terrible just hung up on me also 2 months out for new appointments is ridiculous.
Mar 05, 2025 · Rick LAvoid at all costs. They call me 10 min before my appt saying that I'll be waiting for god knows how long because they have an emergency. Every time I've called VCA for an emergency they tell me to go the ER. Now...they're all of a sudden taking these visits? Something tells me they overbooked and are just now realizing it. We have to sedate our dog before any vet appt because she get's so anxious and now my poor dog is knocked out for no reason. They also tried to say they called and never heard back. I confirmed my appt last week with them, they left me a message yesterday saying to call them back if I need to reschedule and if not "SEE YOU TOMORROW". Talk about an unorganized vet clinic. Sounds about right for Quincy, MA. Staying in Brookline where they understand how to treat clients and our pets.
Aug 10, 2023 · Adam MVery unethical and unprofessional. Doctor over at this location seems knowledgeable and nice but the way this practice is managed is the problem. As a first time pet owner, there can be times when you are not sure if something is serious or just a normal behavior change as your pet is growing up. Even for such simple questions, they will not let you speak with your doctor and just say set up an appointment exam or go to urgent care. You ask the front desk on suggestions on what we should do, their answer is basically pay us for exam (if there's an opening available) or go to urgent care or emergency, basically useless. I get that they're over booked and over worked but that's no excuse to such responses. Being a primary care of your pet, sometime you just have a question for the doc and probably 2 min of their time. They're good when you're there for your scheduled visit but anything other than that it's suggest go with caution at this place.
