These guys are fantastic. Every employee I've interacted with has been a delight to talk to and they really care about the physical and emotional health of my pets. Every time we visit, they work to create an environment that is as positive and stress free as possible.

Customer reviews present a mixed picture of VCA Midtown Animal Hospital. Many customers praise the doctors and nurses for their excellent care and compassionate approach, particularly with anxious pets. Dr. Emily and Bria are specifically mentioned for their outstanding service and ability to create a stress-free environment for pets.

However, some customers have reported negative experiences with the front desk staff. One reviewer described feeling devalued and ostracized due to an interaction with a front desk clerk. They expressed frustration with what they perceived as judgmental questioning about declined medication and vaccinations, despite having discussed these matters with the medical staff.

The reviewer also noted an awkward and unfriendly atmosphere at the checkout counter, contrasting sharply with their previous positive experiences at the clinic. This suggests inconsistency in the customer service provided by the front desk staff.

On the positive side, other reviewers highlight the friendly and caring nature of the overall staff, emphasizing their dedication to the physical and emotional well-being of pets. They appreciate the clinic's efforts to create a positive and stress-free environment during visits.

The reviews indicate that while the medical care provided by the doctors and nurses at VCA Midtown Animal Hospital is generally highly regarded, there are concerns about the consistency and professionalism of the front desk staff. Potential clients should be aware of these mixed reviews and may want to consider this when choosing a veterinary clinic.

My most recent experience at the Piedmont VCA left me feeling devalued and ostracized. This feeling came from one of the front desk clerks. The doctor and nurse that saw me and my pet were OUTSTANDING! So let me first start by praising them. My pet Ginger always has anxiety when she comes to the vet so they made sure they took their time and loved on her as much as they could to ensure her visit was sweatless - and it was. Thank you Dr. Emily and Bria. When I made my appointment, I made over the phone with Rose at the front desk and she was sweet and to the point. I told her last time they recommended I get some calming meds for Ginger, however, I assumed it was something they were giving away for the specific visit and not a full prescription. After clarifying that with Rose, I declined. The next day I received a call from one of the doctors stating they had an order of 60 pills for me to pick up prior to her appointment. I told her that I declined the meds after I found out there was a charge. There was silence on the phone. At any rate, I declined, yet again and that was that. The next day I came in for Ginger’s appointment, had a wonderful visit with the doctor and nurse and THEN…headed to the checkout counter. It was eerily quiet as I approached. So I tried to lighten whatever awkwardness was in the air to pay my fees for the visit. I received a call as I was about to check out and I unctioned to the young lady who began checking me out…she wore all black with a black hat on…to excuse me while I take the call. She gave me an unfriendly blank stare. Once I ended my call, she looked through Ginger’s record and proceeded to mention something about the calming meds that were not purchased. But that was merely a comment. Next, she asked me square on, “Is there any reason you didn’t get the vaccines today?” I was pretty agitated by that question because, #1. I’ve had all these questions asked and answered by the doctors/nurse already. So who are you and why are you questioning me? Of ALL the years I’ve been coming to VCA, when I check out it’s pretty sweatless and the front desk is pretty kind to me. Not sure if it was the drury weather or someone “felt some type of way” about the calming Meds not being purchased, but whatever it was, it made a paying customer feel challenged. I literally had to say to her, “I just want to pay the $160 something dollars for my visit and set my card up for monthly flea prevention.” 😒 I will see y’all next week and hopefully the doctor visit will match the check-in/check-out professionalism.

After moving back to Atlanta we are so grateful to have found VCA’s Midtown location to care for our 2 rescue dogs. The staff is always professional and kind and Dr. Benfield has taken such amazing care of dogs. The practice is set up to provide the best care while also ensuring there’s no stress during visits. I cannot recommend them enough!

My pets and I receive superior and courteous care at Pets Are People, Too, VCA Midtown Hospital. Service is excellent and costs are competitive. I wouldn't trust my cats and dogs to people at any other facility!

This was our first experience with VCA clinic. We took our newly adopted Rottador puppy in for his first checkup. The staff was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The wait time was short. The facility was clean, comfortable and up to date. Everything from check-in to checkout went very well.
