My dog, Buddy, who was almost 9 years old was sick and I was a walk in patient not knowing they were not an emergency walk in veterinary hospital. HOWEVER, when a sick visit turned into my last moments with Buddy the staff was exceptional. I am certain that my loss was not the first they handled. The Doctor and Staff single handedly put my mind at peace and made the heartache i felt appropriate and valid. Before my family arrived the women there completely embraced me and made Buddy's last moments with me as special as if we were snuggling on the couch together. I want to emphasize the emotion involved when i was told he was full of cancer.... To keep it very simple Thank you for making a perfect stranger feel at home with her best companion as he left me. Your display of humanity, empathy and compassion made the process, however how sad and devastating it was, a loving and touching goodbye. Thank you and I'm sure you deserve unlimited more thanks if you did for others as you did for Buddy and I.

One particularly moving testimonial describes an exceptional experience during a pet's last moments, where the staff "completely embraced" the owner and made the difficult process a "loving and touching goodbye," emphasizing their ability to provide solace and make a perfect stranger feel at home. This suggests that the hospital maintains a high standard of compassionate care, especially in sensitive situations. Several features distinguish VCA Met Vet West Animal Hospital. A significant feature is its AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accreditation. This voluntary accreditation signifies that the hospital consistently meets or exceeds the highest standards of veterinary care in areas such as patient care, diagnostics, pain management, and facility standards. Only a small percentage of veterinary hospitals in North America achieve AAHA accreditation, underscoring VCA Met Vet West's commitment to excellence. Another notable feature is their ability to care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, avians, exotics, and pocket pets, making them a versatile choice for pet owners with diverse companions. The hospital operates with extended hours from Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM) and on Saturday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), providing greater flexibility for appointments compared to clinics with shorter hours. Their emphasis on compassionate and empathetic care, especially during difficult times like euthanasia, stands out in client testimonials, highlighting their dedication to both the pet's well-being and the owner's emotional support. The presence of experienced and knowledgeable staff, including veterinarians like Dr. Lettich, who are praised for their kindness and skill in handling pets, is also a key asset.
From a promotional standpoint, VCA Met Vet West Animal Hospital leverages its affiliation with the broader VCA network, which is known for its extensive resources and commitment to high standards. Their AAHA accreditation is a powerful promotional tool, assuring clients of a high level of medical care. The hospital actively promotes a "FREE First Exam" offer for new clients, a common strategy to encourage initial visits and allow pet owners to experience their services. They also provide access to "myVCA," an online portal that allows clients to manage appointments, access pet records, refill prescriptions, and utilize live chat, emphasizing convenience and modern client service. The hospital's website features testimonials and highlights their philosophy of "world-class medicine with hometown care," appealing to both the desire for advanced veterinary treatment and a personalized, compassionate approach. They are also proactive in promoting financial options, accepting pet insurance for unexpected accidents and illnesses, and offering financing solutions like CareCredit and Scratchpay. Their commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest veterinary medicines and procedures is also a subtle but effective promotional message, ensuring clients that their pets are receiving cutting-edge care.

Dec 10, 2024 · Bee HurshI cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and service provided by both the vets and groomer for my puppy! The veterinary clinic exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the warm welcome at reception to the expertise and compassion shown by the veterinarians and staff, every interaction was professional and reassuring. They took the time to thoroughly assess my pet's health concerns, patiently answering all of my questions and providing valuable advice. Their dedication to the well-being of animals is evident in the meticulous care they provide. I had an excellent experience with the groomer, Janet. My puppy was losing all his baby hair and was shedding excessively. She took the time to understand the specific needs of my puppy and recommended appropriate grooming techniques to address the shedding problem. After the grooming session, I noticed a significant reduction in my puppy's shedding. Not only did the groomer effectively remove excess fur, but she also provided valuable tips on at-home maintenance to minimize shedding between grooming appointments. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the care and attention my pet received from both the vet and groomer. They truly go above and beyond and I highly recommend their services to all pet owners.
Apr 04, 2024 · Ana RodriguezWe have been going here from about 10 years with our pets. We love the staff and vets. The only downside is over time it has gotten prohibitively expensive to even perform the most routine care on my pets (a recent blood test for my cat was $280- no exam, just a blood test). I guess that’s just veterinary care now that everything is owned by corporations….
Feb 22, 2025 · Kay LeighUnfortunately, it was not a good situation that brought me here, but I couldn’t be happier with how much easier all the staff made it. I had to bring my bearded dragon here to be put down. He suddenly got very sick and it was determined he more than likely had some form of cancer. Everyone was so caring and I was able to take my time and say goodbye. I opted to get him cremated and they offer to give you a claw and tail imprint, along with letting you chose the urn. This was so hard to handle, but their caring nature made it slightly more bearable. The vet herself seemed knowledgeable about exotics/reptiles.
