I deeply regret taking my beloved dog to this vet. The doctors misdiagnosed him with anxiety and recommended Prozac, completely overlooking the real issue—his worsening congestive heart failure. It wasn't until I had to rush him to the hospital that I learned the heartbreaking truth. Under The Village Vet’s care, his condition was advancing unchecked when it could have been properly managed if they had simply recognized his heart murmur. Now, he's fighting for his life on four different medications, when he could have had a better quality of life with the right diagnosis from the start. This painful oversight haunts me, and my heart breaks knowing he suffered unnecessarily. There are far more competent and attentive vets in the area—please don’t take the same risk I did.

If I could give this vet a negative 10 I absolutely would. I have taken my cat here for X-rays and information regarding her limping. The first visit the vet (owner) explained she had stage 4 Luxating patella, stretched ligament, hip dysplasia and the arthritis had already begun. That amputation would more than likely not be an option due to her hips and would more than likely affect her other leg and walking. I left with a script for two medications, one for arthritis and one for pain. - gabapentin & prednisolone - which I was told I could get from chewy because they are more affordable. Which i have been giving for almost a year. Second visit was with a different vet. My cat is showing obvious signs of pain at home - barely walking, not eating, hiding, very skittish, cry’s all night long. I brought her in to be euthanized as I was told the leg couldn’t be amputated and have been giving her pain/joint support medication. This vet explained she would not put her down because I didn’t have proof of the medication I have been giving her and because she didn’t bite her she didn’t think she was in pain. That her weighing only 5 lbs at 5 years old is normal and healthy. even though before saying this she told me that she does have stretched ligaments that she feels. Also she told me that I need to surrender my cat to someone who can properly care for her since I will not increase her pain medication and have her on it for another year as i just don’t think this is any quality of life for her. The entire visit she was ignorant, combative and argumentative with me when i came here looking for care for my cat. But because my cat didn’t bite her she wouldn’t euthanize her. It’s outrageous that one of the most emotional moments of my life I left enraged by this woman’s attitude. 10000% do not recommend this vet. They have no sense of direction or correct information despite the X-rays, and information given by two different vets that are completely different and confusing.

From the moment my fiancé called, the caring, compassion, and positive assistance from Rachel she got from making a last minute appointment for a small issue. To us arriving at our appointment already welcoming our Mel in so kindly. Our vet tech (I forget her name but she loved Mel and was snuggling with her and so compassionate) and Dr. Byrd came in. Looked at other issues we were concerned about. And got the medicine we needed, and the peace of mind of going home knowing our baby girl was going to be okay. She gave her treats and pets and Mel left happy and content, along with mom and dad. I will be recommending Village Veterinary to anyone I know. Thank you guys! Prayers we don’t see you soon😂 but if our girls need any medical assistance they’re our first call! Goofy picture of Mel for attention!

Gucci and Zeva received the absolute best care. The office staff was pleasant to deal with over the phone and in person.
