I took my large male cat in for the first time . He is the product of a feral mom. I couldn’t give him flea meds because he would go berserk and clipping his claws was out of the question. The vet and her tech were absolutely amazing. They made him as comfortable as possible. I won’t take Chester anywhere else.0 I am so thankful for The Car’s Meow Cat Clinic.

The Cat's Meow Cat Clinic Introduce
For cat owners in Oregon City, Oregon, and the surrounding areas, The Cat's Meow Cat Clinic offers a uniquely specialized and highly recommended option within the "Pet Hospital" category. Located at 19743 OR-213, Oregon City, OR 97045, USA, this clinic is entirely dedicated to the care of felines, providing an environment and expertise specifically tailored to the needs of cats. This exclusive focus helps to reduce stress for feline patients and ensures highly specialized medical attention. Pet owners can contact them at (503) 518-6369 or +1 503-518-6369.
One of the most significant advantages of The Cat's Meow Cat Clinic is its cat-only environment. Unlike mixed-animal practices where the sounds and smells of dogs can cause significant stress for cats, this clinic is designed from the ground up to be feline-friendly. While specific interior design details are not fully provided, the effect of this environment is clearly articulated by clients. One owner of a previously feral cat noted, "They made him as comfortable as possible. I won’t take Chester anywhere else." This suggests a calm, quiet, and understanding atmosphere that prioritizes feline comfort and minimizes anxiety. The absence of canine presence contributes to a more relaxed experience for sensitive cats, making veterinary visits less daunting. The staff are repeatedly described as "great," "so caring and nice," and "absolutely amazing," which further enhances the calming and positive atmosphere.
As a feline-exclusive veterinary hospital, The Cat's Meow Cat Clinic offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and preventative services, all specifically adapted for cats. Their specialized approach ensures that treatments and diagnostics are optimized for feline physiology and behavior. Key services include:
- Comprehensive Feline Wellness Exams: Tailored physical examinations for cats of all ages, from kittens to senior felines, focusing on feline-specific health indicators.
- Feline Vaccinations: Administration of core and non-core vaccines (e.g., FVRCP, Rabies, FeLV) based on individual cat's lifestyle, health, and risk assessment, ensuring safe and effective protection.
- Sick Cat Care and Diagnostics: Diagnosis and treatment of various feline illnesses and conditions, including complex issues like Feline Allergic Dermatitis (FAD) and eye problems, as highlighted in client testimonials. This would involve feline-specific diagnostic tools and approaches.
- Feline Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services, crucial for feline oral health, likely including cleanings, extractions, and potentially advanced dental imaging, all performed with feline-specific anesthesia protocols.
- Feline Surgical Procedures: Performance of various surgical interventions tailored for cats, such as spaying, as noted by a client planning a future spay for their rescue cat. This includes advanced procedures like eye surgery, successfully performed by Dr. Henson.
- Parasite Prevention and Treatment: Management and treatment for fleas, worms, and other feline parasites, as seen with the rescue cat receiving "de-wormer, and flea meds." This indicates their expertise in handling external and internal parasitic issues common in cats.
- Behavioral Consultations: Given their specialized focus, it is highly likely they offer guidance on feline behavior issues, understanding the unique stressors and needs of cats.
- Pain Management and Advanced Therapies: The successful recovery of a cat after eye surgery suggests effective post-operative care and pain management.
The Cat's Meow Cat Clinic stands out for several unique features that deeply resonate with cat owners:
- Feline-Exclusive Focus: This is their most significant distinguishing feature. By eliminating dogs from the environment, they drastically reduce stress for their feline patients, leading to calmer visits, more accurate examinations, and better treatment outcomes. This focus extends to their equipment, handling techniques, and overall clinic design, making it a truly cat-friendly practice, possibly certified as a Cat Friendly Practice (CFP) by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), though not explicitly stated.
- Exceptional Compassion and Gentle Handling: Repeatedly praised for their "amazing," "caring," and "nice" approach, the vet (Dr. Henson) and her tech demonstrate a profound understanding of feline behavior. Their ability to make even a "large male cat" with a "feral mom" background comfortable, and to handle a "very anxious" cat, highlights their specialized skills in gentle, fear-free handling.
- Personalized and Health-First Approach: Clients appreciate that the staff "take their time with you and your pet" and prioritize the cat's health above rushing procedures. The example of delaying vaccinations to ensure the kitten was "well enough to handle them" speaks to a highly ethical and patient-centered philosophy, distinguishing them from practices perceived as "rushing the vaccine process."
- Expertise and Effective Treatment: Dr. Henson is consistently described as "awesome and great with both my kitties," performing an "excellent job" on eye surgery, and quickly improving a cat with FAD and eye issues in just "3 days." These testimonials affirm the high level of medical expertise and effective treatment outcomes.
- Affordability and Transparency: A significant "pro" noted by a client was that the clinic "didn't overcharge like other places," despite handling an urgent and comprehensive care case. This suggests fair and reasonable pricing, alleviating a common concern for pet owners.
- Building Trust and Long-Term Relationships: The depth of client loyalty is evident in statements like "I won’t take Chester anywhere else" and "I'm so glad I found this vet and cat clinic." This indicates that the clinic builds strong trust with owners and their feline companions, leading to long-term relationships for ongoing care.
While specific time-limited promotional offers are not detailed, the primary "promotional" aspect of The Cat's Meow Cat Clinic is its unique specialization and the overwhelmingly positive word-of-mouth generated by its exceptional care. The clear benefit of a feline-only environment, coupled with the staff's gentle handling and expert treatment, serves as a powerful draw for cat owners seeking the best possible care for their pets. Its location on OR-213 in Oregon City makes it reasonably accessible for local residents and those willing to travel for specialized feline care, as evidenced by a client moving over an hour away but still choosing this clinic based on a recommendation. The sheer satisfaction expressed by clients ("Great place, great vet, check them out you will be glad you did, I certainly am!!😸") speaks volumes and acts as the most compelling form of promotion for this dedicated feline practice.

Mar 19, 2024 · Debora FergusonI moved over an hour away from my vet and my niece takes her cat here and she loves them and so I took my cat that has FAD and other issues, this time her eyes. They're great and so caring and nice. My cat is doing so much better in just 3 days! I'm so glad I came here and we have a great new vet. This place is great! Dr Henson is so awesome and great with both my kitties. Just took in my other car for a well visit and vaccine updates and Dr Henson is so good with the cats and she really cares about them. My other car had eye surgery a month ago and she did an excellent job! I'm so glad I found this vet and cat clinic and it's a lot closer to me which is a bonus! Great place, great vet, check them out you will be glad you did, I certainly am!!😸
Aug 16, 2024 · Debbie SchonstalI don't have enough words to express how greatful I am to have stumbled upon this clinic. The staff is amazing and love all of my kitties, even the difficult ones ;) I feel like my cats are always well cared for and looked after when I have to leave them for boarding. The doctor is always so knowledgeable and I learned so much about my kitties and their care. Thank you thank you thank you!
Apr 28, 2022 · Allison CarterI've never seen a veterinary clinic so unbelievably helpful and kind towards animals the way they are here. You could tell that Dr. Henson and the assistant were passionate about their jobs and that they truly care about your kitty. They took amazing care of my cat, and were so gentle and patient with her even when she was acting spicy. Dr. Henson is amazing at her job and had amazing advice to give. I'll be recommending this place to every cat owner I know!! Edit: I've been bringing my cat here for years now. I brought her in for some coughing issues, and I was continually blown away by how passionate and dedicated the staff was to figuring out what the issue was. When it was found to be cancer, the whole staff was so kind and compassionate, and Dr. Henson made everything very clear about what to do moving forward. I couldn't have asked for a better team to take care of my baby during her life.
Apr 16, 2025 · Lillian WetzelFantastic care for my beloved cat with reasonable prices. The appointment was not rushed and they took the time to allow with my cat to settle down in a strange environment and examined her by working with her cat behavior, which removed extra stress and made for an easy and positive experience for everyone. Highly recommend!!
