St. Francis Veterinary Clinic

I recently brought my dog, Hope to St. Francis for the first time to have her vaccinations updated. She was treated with compassion by Dr. Martinez & the staff was very friendly & helpful. It was more comfortable for me to put her on the table myself as she sometimes can get anxious when faced with an elevated surface. The visit was quick & she got to have a treat at the end. I look forward to continue bringing her here! Thank you

I have been taking my doggie and cats to St. Francis Vet Clinic for more than 15 years. I love and loved my pets more than words can say, and I wouldn’t be going back for this long if I didn’t trust Dr. Martinez and his team 100%. Best veterinarian in town!! Thank you for always being there for my little furry babies!

Excellent Vet & wonderful staff. We have been taking our cats & dogs to Dr. Martinez for many, many years; he is an outstanding veterinarian: very knowledgeable, extremely experienced, and compassionate at all times. Thank you Dr. Martinez for all you do. We appreciate you.

This is the worst veterinary clinic I have ever gone to. I took my dog to this place and they told me the price for cleaning his anal glands was 25 dollars. They said this was all they would charge me and it was fine with me. But, things took a turn for the worse. First, they made me hold my dog during the entire procedure like if I worked there as an assistant. Second, while the process was being done a “doctor” walked in without even being called trying to get me to buy a bunch of medicine which my dog didn’t need and tried to make my dog sound like it had infections which is a lie and he told me this without even looking at my dog. After this the lady at the front charged me instead of 25, she charged 75. I asked her why and she said the extra 50 dollars was due to a medical “consultation” even though the doctor didn’t examine my dog. And I didn’t even ask for the doctor in the first place. Stay away from this SCAM! There’s a billion better other clinics in Kendall.

We had been taking our Rottweiler since she was a puppy, she's 2 now. Like any dog, she had apprehensions when it comes to the vet since she knows this person inflicts pain on her (shots/rectal temperature). As she got bigger, he seemed a little less inclined and honestly uncomfortable treating her. She is not and has never been an aggressive dog, and she is also well trained. She loves everyone else there and has never had an issue with anybody else or any other dogs. We have been asked to muzzle her, and we have obliged. Put her up on the table , and we are obliged. Mind you, she is 95 lbs now. Today, we scheduled her for her annual rabies shot, and the treatment we received was disgusting from the vet, not the staff. She was muzzled and on the table and already cowarding away from him, knowing what was coming. He got loud and told us she was being aggressive when all you could see in her was fear. He Wanted us to sedate her for his convenience, and we refused. At this point he got aggressive and said we had to find someone else and kicked us out. The staff heard everything and apologized. We have taken our dog to the groomers, had dog sitters, and not a single person has had an issue with her. The fact that she was obviously terrified of him and he called her aggressive let's me know he really doesn't understand dogs and their behaviors. If he feels like like he's not physically capable,he should've said so, and we would've understood and found someone else. The treatment of our dog and ourselves received today was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Beware if you have big dogs, because I'm sure he's really picky on the dogs he wants to see and feels comfortable with. If I could give negative stars, I would.
