Very clean and friendly Vet to take our bunny too! He had a check up and a procedure. Staff very friendly and talked me through everything I needed to know. I’m very impressed with Spartan Animal Hospital!

Dr. Jen and the staff are amazing. They were able to see our sick little Yorkie the same day we called. He was diagnosed quickly and given meds. The price was perfect considering it was a semi emergency visit. We have used Spartan for over 20 years now and recommend them highly!

First clinic that would see my rat almost immediately (next day) everyone i met here is super friendly, helpful, and informative. The assistants, receptionist, and vet were all lovely. I'm hesitant of vets with my rats, but the vet knew what she was doing. She seemed confident like shes done this hundreds of times. They genuinely care about all their animals here. If you have rats or other exotics I definitely recommend. Was gentle and sweet with my rat who isn't familiar with the vet. She made sure i knew what she was doing and what she was thinking while handling my rat. Prescribed both medications I needed. Treated for lice and antibiotics. Cost 150$ for everything and gave me all i needed in one visit. 20-30$ for each medicine which lasts me 8 weeks, 75$ for the exam/deposit and 30$ to test his skin sample for lice/mites, which all seem like fair prices to me. But keep in mind these are prices for a >1lb rat so prices can be different for you. The hospital itself was super clean and no strong odors like most have. It was also quiet and a calm environment. 10/10 :)

This is the best place in the Madison area to go for chickens, ducks, or geese. Dr. Marston is compassionate, knowledgeable, and willing to work with patients to diagnose and treat even the most esoteric issues. I know several chicken and waterfowl sanctuaries that use her as their go-to vet. I can't recommend her enough.

I had made an appointment to have a first check in with my new dog Sparky. When I made the appointment, I paid $70 as a down payment. Then, the morning of the appointment I got a voicemail saying something had come up and the vet needed to cancel. I can call back to reschedule the appointment and my down payment will be used towards the new appointment. I get that things come up so I went about my day. Now I just called back to reschedule the appointment and they require me to pay the $70 payment AGAIN! They said I missed the appointment. And since I didn't call them back to confirm that it's cancelled the same day, they assumed I would be there. And since I didn't show up, they call that a missed appointment. What?!?! The voicemail only said I should call back to reschedule and the down payment will be used towards the rescheduled appointment. Nobody ever said I needed to call them the SAME DAY. Very frustrating. I would avoid this place if possible. Terrible communication.
