Southpaw Vets

We travel 18 miles each way through traffic so our beloved cat Ozzie can be seen by Dr. Shim at Southpaw Vets. We used to live a lot closer & moved, but we keep seeing Dr. Shim because we know she'll take great care of our furry four legged son. Thank you Dr. Shim and Southpaw Vets!

After 4 years of trying different Vets I've finally found this place which I'm extremely satisfied and happy. The staff is very sweet and genuine. Dr. Linda Shim is excellent and genuine,honest and kind. I feel so lucky and grateful. Words can't describe how I feel. Also Morgan is so sweet and loving also professional. Today was my second time and I will continue going there. Please take your babies to Southpaw. Thank you everyone for treating me so kindly!

I came to this vet by a recommendation from Jess Rona grooming in Larchmont. And my experience here with Southpaw Vet was WOW! When I called to book, they had availability immediately for the next day as I was in need for an appointment ASAP. Was told they also have online booking available to view other time slots if I wanted to book that way for future reference. It was a swift booking via phone. Ample parking in the back of building was nice. Everyone I interacted with were so nice and caring! The front receptionist in the middle with pink scrubs was very nice and handed us a bandana with their signature calming spray on it while we waited. The waiting area is modern, spacious and CLEAN. Very nice touch with the picture decor and a nice little refreshment bar of coffee, tea and water. They had a TV playing which was nice to distract and pass time than be on my phone. The first assistant took us to the room and took all the important information about my senior dog and the concern for the visit. I didn't feel rushed when talking about my concerns. When Dr. Connie Chiang entered the room, it wasn't a long wait from the first assistant to Dr. Connie, unlike other vet clinics. Dr. Connie is super awesome and genuinely caring and listened to my concern. She was thoroughly informed by the first assistant and I felt relieved because I could discuss more in detail of my concerns. She spent quite a bit of time with us answering my questions and explaining what the next steps are. I never felt this much attention to my senior baby. And again, not once did I feel rushed with the vet, Dr. Connie. Loved how my senior pup slept during our consultation. 🩶 Then I met her two assistants, Amy and Molly. They are amazing, very caring and informative like Dr. Connie!! They answered my concerns and if they didn't know the answer they immediately went to ask and was back in a few mins. One thing that truly stood out, is how they all sit down and take the time to talk to you. That really made the relationship between pet parents and the staff. I will definitely be back to see Dr. Connie Chiang and her staff! Update: 9/11/2023 Everyone here are still amazing! Come here regularly for LED Laser treatment for my dog's arthritis. Definitely see a big difference in her walk. Thank you! Update: 2/17/2025 Dr. Connie and staff are still the Best! With a new puppy, I only trust Southpaw Vets & staff. They are always so responsive via text, emails, and calls. Always the best care from puppy to senior pets. We will always come back to Southpaw.

We love this place. This is exactly who we want to trust with our furry family member. Everyone had a smile on their face and listened to our concerns and questions. The topper was when our pup saw a drawer of toys (or babies as she calls the) open and one was offered to her. Thus our pup gives the place 4 paws up with a tail wag so exuberant that she can fly.

It's hard to overstate how incredible this veterinary practice is. We found our home here after an intense tail injury lead us to jumping between three separate vets who all provided subpar care and zero helpful answers as we navigated our kitty's pain and anxiety before we were told about Southpaw. And we are so grateful to have found them! Dr. Braham and every other wonderful person who works here has taken the most amazing care of our sweet girl, Ivy, and I've never felt more heard and supported when it comes to her care. We recently wanted to get Ivy in on very last minute notice to have her checked for a UTI before going out of town, and the admin staff were amazing at updating me on when existing appointments cancelled so that I was able to get her in the SAME day I called-- incredible considering how popular and valued appointments are with Dr. B. Not only that, but I rarely wait more than a few hours for the admin staff or Dr. B to respond to any emails or questions I've sent along to them. We will drive Ivy in heavy rush hour traffic from Silverlake to Sherman Oaks any day to continue to see this amazing team. We are so grateful to have them as a part of our lives!
