Dr carlson is so amazing!!!! We love this vet!! We have 3 dogs and have always wanted to get them on a raw diet and never knew how easy it could be. All of our visits so far have been so informational and enjoyable. Our dogs really love the staff and so do we! I love that my dogs are now getting the care i always wished they would get! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to go a more holistic route for their dog care! We are thrilled to be a new client!

We moved to the area several years ago and have primarily been taking our dog to Southlake Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, my experience today was incredibly disappointing. While the staff seemed friendly enough, I quickly realized that this clinic is more interested in nickel-and-diming their customers than providing quality care for pets. What started as a simple nail trim turned into an aggressive situation. Please note that the clinic is closed more than it is open, so we had to take our dog to another clinic for a situation. When I went in for the nail trip there was an outstanding charge from the doctor for reviewing the notes from the previous clinic. This was neither discussed nor approved. It was just on the account. I know it is somewhat commonplace today, but there was also a charge for using a credit card. I told them that I did not approve a 'review' and if they wanted me to return, it would be taken off. Less than 2 hours later, I received an email stating that they could no longer effectively be our vet. Sadly, my pet’s health seemed secondary to their drive for profit. If you care about your wallet and your pet’s health, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other clinics that genuinely prioritize care over squeezing every possible dollar out of their clients. They obviously must be doing well because they are closed so often that it makes you wonder why they are even in business. -EDIT: I will refer people to view the Animal Hospital's response. Profit over care is what this boils down to. It's such a shame. Proceed with caution and I will do everything I can to tell people about my experience with the doctor and hospital.

Simply the best! Dr Carlson and staff are all so wonderful. They take the time to evaluate and explain everything and they really seem to care more than the other places we’ve been in the past. As a result, my dogs are living longer and have a better quality of life. We appreciate all they’ve done for us. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I normally don't write reviews, but I am thoroughly impressed with Dr. Carlson and her staff. All were very kind and professional. Dr. Carlson is the first vet I've found in this area who actually understands pet nutrition, feeds her own pets a species-appropriate diet, and was able to help me navigate the nutritional needs of my cat. I look forward to learning how eastern medicine can provide solutions to problems where conventional medicine has failed my cat. I wish I would have found this holistic vet much sooner, they are the best kept secret in NWI!

I can’t say enough great things about Southlake Animal hospital! The staff is so friendly and the doctors take the time to listen to you. After years of battling allergy issues with my dog, we switched to Southlake and within weeks he was SO much better. Not only have we been able to get his allergy issues under control, but now his quality of life is so much better. My 10 year old is acting like a puppy again! Thank you to the staff at Southlake for all you do!
