OMG if you could do negative stars I’d do negative. First off Laura is incredibly rude and when I asked for prices she acted like I was out of line. She literally told me they are only really interested in booking for “Routine” visits for puppies and kittens that need multiple series of appointments. This was completely dollar driven and not care driven I’ve never been so insulted in my life and then $780 for a spay!!! Are you on drugs!! I repeated 3 times that my dog is a rescue and has only received her rabies vaccine through the free clinic the county offers and she talked right over me and then asked me if she had any history!! I got the excuse that she was too busy to look at the schedule because she has been doing surgeries out back all week, then let it go to voicemail!!

Welcome to Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital
Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital, located at 2108 River Rd in Seneca Falls, NY, is listed as a local Pet Hospital providing veterinary care services. For pet owners in the Seneca Falls area seeking veterinary services, it is important to consider all available information when making decisions about their pet's healthcare. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital based on publicly available customer reviews found online.
Based on the limited number of reviews available, the reported environment and customer service at Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital appear to be areas of significant concern for some pet owners. One reviewer described an interaction with a staff member named Laura as "incredibly rude." This individual reported feeling that their inquiries about pricing were unwelcome and expressed being told that the hospital was primarily interested in "Routine" visits for puppies and kittens requiring multiple appointments, leading to the perception of a "dollar driven and not care driven" approach. This reviewer also cited a high price of $780 for a spay procedure and felt their concerns about their rescue dog's vaccination history were disregarded.
Another detailed review painted a concerning picture of the hospital's practices, particularly regarding emergency situations and appointment availability. This reviewer recounted researching Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital after moving to the area in 2018, noting a previous review that allegedly stated the hospital refused to see a dog hit by a car because it was not an existing patient. Subsequently, this reviewer brought their dog, Lucy, to Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital for all appointments for approximately six years. However, an incident occurred when Lucy needed an appointment urgently on a Thursday afternoon but was told she could not be seen until Monday. The reviewer's offer to wait for an earlier opening was also declined.
Tragically, Lucy was taken to an emergency veterinary hospital in Auburn and had to be euthanized the following day. The reviewer then emailed Dr. Darby with Lucy's medical records from the emergency hospital, requesting his opinion and offering to pay for an evaluation. Despite confirmation that the email was received, the reviewer reported receiving no response for two weeks. Upon calling the office, they were allegedly told that the practice had "chose not to respond" to the inquiry, without any further explanation or closure, even after offering to pay for an office visit for the evaluation.
This same reviewer expressed a strong negative opinion about Dr. Darby's priorities and professionalism, alleging a greater focus on personal possessions than on patient care and describing the practice as "EXTREMELY unprofessional" with a lack of empathy beyond basic services like vaccinations and selling marked-up medications. This individual stated they would "never set foot in that organization again," believing their primary concern was financial gain rather than the well-being of pets.
Given the strong negative sentiments and serious allegations presented in these reviews, it is challenging to objectively describe positive features or services of Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital based solely on this information. The recurring themes of perceived rudeness, prioritization of routine appointments over urgent needs, lack of responsiveness in critical situations, and concerns about the practice's motivations are significant points that potential clients may want to consider.
The information available does not provide details about the environment of the clinic, such as cleanliness, comfort, or facilities. Similarly, a comprehensive list of services offered is not available within these reviews. However, based on the negative experiences reported, particularly the alleged refusal to see an emergency case from a non-client and the difficulty in securing timely appointments even for established patients, it is difficult to infer reliable information about their service capabilities in urgent or critical situations.
No promotional information, discounts, or special offers are mentioned in the provided reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any potential benefits or incentives offered by Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital.
In conclusion, the publicly available customer reviews for Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital present significant concerns regarding customer service, appointment availability, handling of emergency situations (for non-established patients, according to one account), and the perceived priorities of the practice. Potential clients are strongly advised to consider these reported experiences when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care. It may be prudent to seek additional information, perhaps from other sources or by directly contacting the hospital to inquire about their policies, services, and approach to patient care. Due to the overwhelmingly negative nature of the provided feedback, a balanced or positive introduction based solely on this information is not feasible or objective.

Mar 14, 2025 · MeganAbsolutely horrible "Practice" to do business with. When I moved back to Seneca Falls in 2018 I researched various vet services for my dog, Lucy. One of Dr. Darby's reviews stated, "brought my dog after being hit by a car" to the SFVH for attention, and was told that they would not see the animal, although in dire straights, b/c their pet was not a PT there. So I thought I better bring my Lucy there, because it was the closest to my residence, and so she could be seen should she have at emergency. I took Lucy to Dr. Darby for EVERY single appointment form 2 yrs until she was almost 8 years old. SFVH was the only Practice to ever see my pet for 6 years. Finally on a Thursday afternoon I called to make an appointment, and was told she couldn't be seen until Monday. I told them that I would be willing to wait in their parking lot all day, so they could squeeze Lucy in on Friday. Then I was told that they could not do that and that she couldn't be seen until Monday. Long story short, Lucy was brought to The Auburn Emergency Vet Hospital and she had to be put down the next day, to prevent further pain and suffering. Realizing that I was a train wreck I waited until Tuesday of the following week to write an EMail to Dr. Darby providing him with all the Auburn Vet's blood work, x-rays and findings letter .l. asking that Dr. Darby take a look at these issues and give me his opinion on Lucy's condition. I confirmed with the front desk staff that they did get the EMail. After no response in the next two weeks I called the office to check on the status of their response and was told .... Yeah, we chose not to respond to your inquiry. In my EMail I said that I was willing to pay for an office visit for this evaluation. Still they choose NOT to respond, to call me to let me know that they would not be responding, or provide any closure. Dr. Darby's Practice spends more time caring for his Range Rover Discovery vehicle (that costs more than most of his client's houses) than he does for pets in his care. By my experience, they are EXTREMELY unprofessional, he may be OK to give vaccinations to your pet, or even selling your 3 x's mark up on flea/tick medicine, but absolutely no empathy. Needless to say, I will never set foot in that organization again as they only care about your money and not your pet!
Mar 31, 2025 · Joe ScialdoneAbsolutely best vet around, I moved 45 minutes away and still continue to go to them. They have taken such good care of my three cats. I had concerns about my one cat’s eyes and they took her in immediately that day. My appointments are always quick and they never hesitate to answer any of my question. All the workers here are truly the best! Would recommend them to anyone!
