Friendly staff and nice office. However, way overpriced compared to other vets in the area. I called to schedule a routine allergy shot for my dog who had been seen ~6 months prior. They required an additional check-up ($123) before administering. Decided to drive 10 more min and pay literally half the cost for the office visit, which was only required because it had been more than a year since my dogs previous visit.

Based on customer feedback, Sandy Paws Animal Clinic appears to have a friendly staff and a pleasant office environment. One reviewer specifically mentioned the care taken by Dr. Forman and the staff to ensure the comfort of their cat during visits, highlighting their gentle approach when moving the pet to and from the examination room. This suggests a focus on creating a calm and reassuring atmosphere for animals, which is a crucial aspect of quality veterinary care. The reviewer also appreciated the detailed explanation of aftercare instructions, indicating a commitment to clear communication and ensuring pet owners are well-informed about their animal's health and recovery.
However, another customer review pointed out a concern regarding pricing, suggesting that Sandy Paws Animal Clinic may be more expensive compared to other veterinary options in the vicinity. May 06, 2025 · Tim BlackDr. Forman and the staff took great care with my cat Merlin. I appreciated the care they took when coming and going from the exam room, so as not to spook my cat. They weren’t loud and actually took the time to really discuss aftercare in detail so that I understood it. This will be my vet from now on. Thanks Sandy Paws crew! Carlsbad CA, Office
Mar 27, 2025 · Vicky BeattyI'm moving to Europe for work. I arranged for Sandy Paws Animal Clinic to perform my EU health certificate for my move. Despite Covid 19, the USDA office in Los Angeles was willing to work with me and really go the extra mile to get this done. I needed to hand carry the paperwork to USDA in Los Angeles and just have the vet administer a dewormer Saturday at any time, endorsing that the procedure was done when I get the paperwork back Monday. Sandy Paws was unwilling to get up and administer a deworming tablet via mouth on a Saturday morning. Despite how they constantly refered to my dogs as my "babies", they were unwilling to budge on what would effectively been giving a dog a treat and signing a piece of paper stating they did so. No begging I could do could persuade them. My dogs aren't coming with me now. I've spent a tremendous amount of money trying to take them with us that we can't get back. My wife, children and I are heartbroken. To my dogs, I hope I see you both again UPDATE: I still don't have my dogs. I can't believe I ever trusted these scumbags. UPDATE: I was able to find a home for my dogs. My mom took care of them for me. Spike died while we were separated. This review is being marked as "Low Reliability" by google for some reason. Lets be clear, I spent money at this place to do the screening. I also spent 5000 dollars to drive the dogs to Colorado where we would fly them to Ireland. None of which I could get back. I was completely transparent with all the information leading up to the flight. Departure date, place, etc. A FEW DAYS PRIOR WE WERE TOLD THEY WILL NOT GET UP ON SATURDAY TO FEED THEM THE DEWORMER. Years later I'm still upset about it. Now I find out they sold my email to some "Koala Pet Medication Service" great! Avoid at all cost
May 07, 2025 · DD E (137)Easy to give the Sandy Paws crew a 5 star. I've been taking my dogs to see Judith for over 10 years and she is amazing every time. The staff is always caring and helpful. Truly a rare gem for pet care these days.
