Sag harbor vet is very welcoming and kind. I have and do take my dog there to get his check ups and vaccines. They always explain what there doing and why to you. (Toby) my dog is very nervous in new surroundings. But the vet was giving him pets before examinating him making Toby feel comfortable. The staff is very nice!!

Welcome to Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic, a local pet hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive veterinary care for your beloved animal companions. Located at 28 Bridge St, Sag Harbor, NY 11963, USA, Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic serves the local community with a range of services aimed at ensuring the health and well-being of pets. You can reach them at (631) 725-6500 or via mobile at +1 631-725-6500.
As a dedicated Pet Hospital, Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic positions itself as a primary point of contact for pet owners seeking professional medical attention, preventative care, and related services for their animals. Understanding the importance of a comfortable and reassuring environment for both pets and their owners, the clinic strives to create a welcoming atmosphere. While specific details about the clinic's physical environment are limited in the provided information, the positive review highlights a welcoming and kind approach, suggesting a caring and friendly setting designed to ease the anxiety often associated with veterinary visits, particularly for nervous animals like the reviewer's dog, Toby.
The services offered at Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic encompass essential aspects of pet health. Based on the positive feedback, routine check-ups and vaccinations are among the core services provided. The reviewer specifically mentioned taking their dog for these preventative measures, indicating the clinic's role in maintaining the general health and well-being of pets in the area. Furthermore, the review praises the veterinarians for thoroughly explaining the procedures and their rationale to the pet owner, emphasizing clear communication and a commitment to educating clients about their pet's care.
A significant feature highlighted in the positive review is the clinic's approach to handling nervous animals. The reviewer noted that the veterinarian took the time to pet their dog, Toby, before the examination, which helped to create a sense of comfort and trust in a new environment. This demonstrates a patient and empathetic approach to animal care, recognizing the emotional needs of pets during potentially stressful situations. Such personalized attention can be a crucial factor for pet owners seeking a veterinary practice that prioritizes their animal's comfort.
However, it is important to present a balanced view based on all available information. A contrasting negative review details a significantly different experience. This review describes a negative initial interaction with the front desk staff, citing rudeness, a lack of flexibility regarding appointment timing, and a perceived "money-hungry" attitude. The reviewer also mentioned issues with the billing process and a lack of empathy towards a puppy needing to relieve itself. This feedback raises concerns about the administrative aspects of the clinic and the customer service provided by some staff members. The reviewer specifically pointed out a lack of explanation regarding the bill and difficulties with the payment process.
Considering both perspectives, potential local users should be aware that while some customers have experienced a welcoming environment and caring veterinary attention, particularly regarding the handling of animals during examinations, others have reported negative experiences related to customer service and administrative processes. It is crucial for pet owners to weigh these different accounts when considering Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic for their pet care needs.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given reviews. However, the positive review indirectly promotes the clinic by highlighting its welcoming nature, the kindness of the staff, the clear explanations provided during consultations, and the comforting approach towards nervous pets. These aspects can be seen as key selling points for pet owners who prioritize a caring and communicative veterinary practice.
In conclusion, Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic, categorized as a Pet Hospital, offers veterinary services such as routine check-ups and vaccinations. A positive aspect of the clinic appears to be the caring and communicative approach of the veterinary staff, particularly in making nervous animals feel comfortable. However, potential clients should also be aware of feedback indicating potential issues with customer service and administrative processes. It is recommended that local users consider these varying experiences when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care at Sag Harbor Veterinary Clinic.

Aug 09, 2024 · Olivia ChapmanI rarely ever give reviews but when I do they’re typically positive. Sadly, I just had the worst experience at Sag Harbor Vet. I’m a brand new customer with an 8 week old puppy. I was rudely greeted, then told I was too early and had to wait 30 minutes, and the woman at the front desk has such terrible bedside / reception manner that I was taken aback and appalled at how this could be the way they greet and treat a new customer. She also told me if I couldn’t wait, she would consider it a cancellation and charge me $50. My entire afternoon was thrown out of whack with the puppy and they also charged an arm and a leg for an initial exam/once over. Money hungry, rude, and inconsiderate. No explanation of the bill and no consideration about the fact that I had an inpatient puppy that needed to go to the bathroom while one of the staff took 10 minutes fumbling with the credit card machine like she’d never used it before. Not helpful, not sorry, and couldn’t even make eye contact. Their admin staff need a check up from the neck up. I would have loved to have made them my puppy’s primary vet, but zero chance that’s happening.

Jul 18, 2024 · Laura McGarrityI met Dr Browning for the first time while taking Sophie, a friend’s senior dog (14 yrs old), for a check up. I am impressed. He took his time and was sensitive to the dog’s needs. He was patient with questions and he delivered sad news to Sophie’s Mom simply and with care.

Apr 29, 2024 · debra shermanI absolutely love the Vet Clinic staff and doctors, my dog literally thinks it’s a treat to go here and he’s been afraid of another vet. We are so grateful for how responsive and attentive they have been to any issues my dog has had. They are always great about helping deal with my dog’s allergies and they always try to get us in as soon as possible even when they are beyond swamped. It is amazing what they are able to do as such a small local clinic with two doctors!

Jan 24, 2024 · Andrea MeyerEveryone and both doctors are such caring and attentive people. I trust them with my animals wholeheartedly. While sitting in the lobby waiting for an appointment, I hear some people be very rude to the staff and they remain so professional regardless of the situation. They're always so kind. My pup literally starts to cry when she knows we're driving to the clinic and runs up the stairs to go say hi to everyone. She never touched the ground when she's there.
