Dr. Straker came recommended by another equine health professional and I am so glad we found her! She spent as much time as we needed during a PPE to help us make the right decision, and has been tremendously helpful when questions have come up. I appreciate her willingness to answer all of my questions and share her thought process with me so I can understand the rationales. Not only is Dr. Straker very knowledgeable and experienced, she's tremendously kind. Thank you!

I am a novice horse owner who inherited a couple of orphaned animals and am learning everyday what it takes to care for these incredible creatures. Our curious young mare got herself a face full of porcupine quills and was in incredible pain. After a handful of attempts to remove the quills myself, I called Dr. Straker (who had been texting me with helpful tips even through her busy day with other clients). She came out right away and it was a true masterclass in horsemanship. She was so calm and quiet and loving with my very anxious horse, and Dr. Straker expertly sedated and treated Penny with such patience and ease that it was a real sight to see. She took even more time at the end of what was surely a very long day to answer my rookie questions. I cannot recommend Dr. Straker enough, nor will I stop singing her praises.

I found my favorite horse vet! Dr. Straker is kind, knowledgeable, patient, holistic, and conservative in her care. She is also an equine chiropractor and acupuncturist in addition to being a vet, which allows truly the best outcome for your horse! She is also great at "hand-holding" the owner when needed... :)
