Dr.Rowland and his staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. I reached out to them about a farm visit for sick bottle calves and explained that I couldn’t transport them to the office. Dr. Rowland came to us to evaluate the calves. He treated both myself and the calves with great respect. He was very thorough in his examination, assessment, and care instructions. He administered the necessary medication and ensured that I understood the care instructions. He and his staff have followed up with me about on going care. I would highly recommend Dr. Rowland.

Apr 14, 2025 · Kim RinkeDr. Brehm helped save my dogs life, and I cannot be more appreciate of their service. They also are by far the most affordable vet I have ever seen, obviously vet bills are very pricey but my dog had emergency surgery, blood transfusions, fluids, medication and held over night and I paid HALF of what I was expecting. I am so grateful for them. My dog was hit by a car and I called while I was on the way and they squeezed me in during a hectic day and truly saved his life, he was minutes from death when they took him into surgery. I know the wait times can be long some days, but it’s because of dogs like mine they are saving. I am so grateful for this staff.
Feb 18, 2025 · Courtney DenzerWe Revisited the clinic today, and had the most outstanding experience! Dr Autumn B was a delight, and her interactions with our Puppies (Hank & Mya) made us smile. She genuinely loves animals, and shows an affection that cannot be faked. The same is true of her wonderful technician Megan, originally from Illinois, who patiently corralled the puppies so they could receive the care that they needed. After a number of visits to other clinics that did not impress, we confidently will return to the Rowland clinic again, and encourage others to check out this wonderful location in New Tazewell. Well worth the drive from Pineville, to receive the caliber of care that our little ones did. In addition, Dr B generously shared words of encouragement with one of our renters who is in the veterinary program at LMU, and it was a huge inspiration to that student as she works diligently to get her arms around the curriculum and adopting a new way of study.
Jan 30, 2025 · CowCountryVintageSewing MachinesAndRestorationDr. Douglas was who I saw at my most recent visit. She seems thorough but has a business mentality. I am sure she has compassion but it was not there at my appointment. During my appointment, I asked for the 3 year rabies vaccine instead of the 1 year. I have always gotten the 3 year at Rowland’s and my old vet in Ga. I was told that I can’t do the 3 year and HAD to do the 1 year. The tech that I spoke with reason was it was their protocol and that my dog is older than 2 years old so she has to have the 1 year (FYI…the dog is not 2 years old yet). I asked to speak with Dr. Douglas before vaccines are administered. I could tell when she came in the room she was not very happy being questioned. Her explanation first was that it was company protocol (welcome to corporate) and said “the fact remains that your dog is late on her rabies”. The dog was late because of financial hits. It took asking to talk with either Dr. Rowland or Skylar for Dr. B (who I really do like) to come in and talk with me. I love Dr. Rowland and understanding the selling of the practice as he is getting older but corporate is going to ruin his good name.
