Wellness Exams: They customize care for each pet, with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine. Depending on the pet's age, breed, or underlying health issues, they recommend annual or bi-annual physical exams to catch potential problems early and promote long-term health.
Vaccinations: Offering customized vaccine protocols based on each pet's lifestyle and risk factors. They also specifically mention offering non-adjuvanted feline vaccines, which can increase safety for feline patients.

Diagnostic Services: The clinic is equipped to perform various in-house diagnostics, including bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasound. The features that make Progressive Animal Healthcare stand out are primarily centered around the quality of their team and their commitment to patient well-being. Dr. Amy Kerley is consistently highlighted as an "excellent vet" who is "amazing," with clients expressing immense gratitude for her thorough exams, clear explanations, and professional yet caring approach. Robin, the tech, is also praised for her excellent care and professionalism. The staff's ability to address various concerns, from a dog's cough to a large lump, demonstrates their comprehensive clinical skills. Their emphasis on transparency, by showing findings and explaining treatment plans in detail, builds strong client trust. Furthermore, the clinic hours are convenient, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, making it accessible for many pet owners. The use of VitusVet Portal for established clients to view medical records, request prescription refills, and schedule/confirm appointments showcases their embrace of modern technology to enhance client convenience and engagement.
Regarding promotional information, Progressive Animal Healthcare employs a clear policy for new clients and promotes various ways to manage veterinary costs. For all new clients, they require a deposit before scheduling an appointment: $40 for a routine examination and $80 for a surgery. This deposit is then applied towards the total bill at checkout. They also require at least a 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling, or the deposit will be lost. While direct discount percentages on specific services might not be permanently advertised, the clinic encourages proactive financial planning for pet care. They strongly recommend and accept pet insurance, explaining that it is the best way to get reimbursed for unexpected accidents and illnesses, often covering up to 90% of vet bills. They emphasize getting pets insured while healthy to avoid pre-existing condition exclusions. Additionally, some pet insurance providers offer "wellness plans" or routine care add-ons that help cover the costs of regular health expenses like vaccinations and dental cleanings. For existing medical conditions or large upfront costs, Progressive Animal Healthcare accepts treatment financing solutions such as CareCredit and Scratchpay. These options allow pet owners to space out payments over time, making expensive treatments more manageable. They also advise clients to price shop for off-label human medications that might be prescribed, suggesting that local pharmacies may offer lower prices. Clients can always call the office at (270) 558-3070 for the most up-to-date information on current promotions or to discuss financial options.
In conclusion, Progressive Animal Healthcare at 2630 James Sanders Blvd, Paducah, KY, stands out as a highly recommended Pet Hospital. Great caring staff and Vet! My dog had a cough and a large lump on his chest. Both were addressed and taken care of!
Feb 12, 2025 · Nancy FreyWe cannot thank Dr. Kerley and Robin enough for the excellent care given to our dog Boon who had unfortunately been shot by an upset farmer. They did a thorough exam and showed us all she found and explained everything to us that she was going to do to treat him. Excellent vet and tech. Would highly recommend. Very professional and caring.
Mar 24, 2025 · Vicki SimsMy dog was rushed in on Emergency. They treated her quickly and effectively, being careful to ensure meds did not cause any issues with her other health issues. They saved her life. Doc Curly and the girl Rachel in Doc's office kept me updated frequently, answered all my questions, and explained everything very well.
May 07, 2025 · Becca JoyLOVE the Vet and staff. I'm super picky and have went to many different clinics throughout Southern IL to find a good fit. I finally found THE one! I'll happily drive a little over an hour to our appointments. The staff and Vet are super nice, easy to deal with, great with my dogs and make sure to educate owners on whatever is going on with their animals. I definitely recommend them!
Aug 21, 2023 · Ashten PowellThese people genuinely care about your dog and their well-being. They helped get my pups surgery in sooner by getting us to another vet, they have been constantly going out of their way to check on us after his surgery. And providing any information or request I may have, they have performed 3 surgeries on our other pup as well. They are quick and responsive and they are so so kind. Dr. Kerley is very meticulous with her work and if it wasn’t for her, my pups tumor would have gone unnoticed. Yes, vets are expensive overall and taking care of your pup is expensive. But these guys treat you like family. Thank you, Progressive.
