I have been bringing my senior cat Audrey to Prairie State Animal Hospital for 3 years. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and prices are reasonable compared to other vets in the area. I am able to get in and out for my appointments within 20-30 minutes, which is super convenient for me to be able to bring my cat during my lunch break. On a recent visit, my cat鈥檚 platelet count was unable to be read, and the office retested at no charge. I highly recommend Prairie State for kitty care!

Mar 16, 2024 路 Camellia HilkerWe have seen Dr. Natt for the past three years. She does a great job, and our pup even tries to go inside when we walk by for treats. Thanks to the entire staff for everything you do!
Sep 25, 2024 路 Justin PatinoDr. Natt and her team, Rachel, Gina, Annette, PJ (who has since retired), and one other vet tech I've had the grace of being seen by, are fantastic. They all care so much about your animal and treat the owners with care and respect as well. I get phone call reminders. I can get price quotes ahead of time. I get treated with kindness and nice manners. These women work continuously and never complain when they often stay late to make sure everyone is treated as thorough as possible that day and even take emergency walk-ins. I saw this happen with a dog who got into rasin bread (rasins and grapes are toxic to dogs), and the dogs primary vet was full that day. Dr. Natt took that dog in last minute and did all she could to save it (which she did). I was the last appointment that day and I was seen a little later in order to accommodate for this emergency. That's a good doctor and team. Treating everyone they can and treating them well. I followed Dr. Natt from Banfield when she was picking up extra shifts as a relief vet for banfield. She single-handedly (also help from her team), but her knowledge and magic hands, smart brain, drive to continue learning, all of that, she has extended the quality of life of my senior dog. He has seen several specialists and a traditional western medicine primary vet. No one can figure out what's wrong with him besides that he has mild heart disease. But the exact cause of his collapsing and mobility issues escapes everyone (although Dr. Ortiz, his primary vet, is who helped discover the heart disease and has done an amazing job as well!) What Dr. Natt has done for my dog through acupuncture, chiropractic work, laser therapy, and herbs, is amazing. She kept his collapsing at bay for almost 3 months. No other vet was able to do that. She also returned strength to his legs and helps with his incontinence. And all while keeping in eye on his bloodwork and other western medical treatments. My dog is old. Eventually, these things will lose efficacy. BUT, the extra time I've gotten with my dog, my son, has been a blessing, and the biggest blessing is that it's improved his quality of life and happiness. If she weren't so far from us, we'd see her for all of our animal needs. We have several animals. But I will continue to see her weekly, driving well over an hour one way, to give my boy the best possible quality life we can until he decides it's time to go.馃
Sep 21, 2024 路 Miche LleOur dogs have been patients of Prairie State Animal Hospital for nearly 9 years. Annette and PJ are sincerely so kind and compassionate towards our pet family. PJ has even called us past 9pm to check in when our dog was ill. As our oldest dog is aging he鈥檚 been experiencing normal joint and back issues. Dr Natt has provided him care including chiropractic and acupuncture. She also recommended a home cooked diet and traditional medicine herbs that have helped with his mobility greatly. He lost weight to get back to a healthy size and is so happy now! Dr Natt is also amazing with our rescue dog who went through some digestive and some behavioral concerns. The care and concern the staff shows is something special. We also use the practice for dental cleanings. It鈥檚 important to keep your pets healthy and happy. We 馃惥 Prairie State!
Aug 18, 2024 路 Aleshia SambouMy three dogs have been going to see Dr Natt for about two years. She鈥檚 very calm and gentle and listens to my concerns. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time, and prices are more reasonable than some other area vets.
