Dr. Dunn is the best. He’s extremely knowledgeable and kind. I took my precious poodle to him one time and got to the bottom of some lingering health issues. I will never take her to anyone else.

Mar 01, 2025 · Dr. Ritchelle Broadnax, DNPI have a 2 year old German Shepherd who is very active and not social outside of our home. Our first visit here last year on a Saturday, I believe its Mr. Dunn, short tied her to the table and roughly pushed her 3 - 4 times against the wall. While doing this, he proceeded to tell me that's how he trains his bird dogs. Gemma is NOT a bird dog! This upset her and caused her to urinate all over the place. I made him stop and had the practioner administer her shots. This past Saturday, time for her shots. I was hoping it wouldn't be the same doctor. Unfortunately, it was and just needed her shots. Yes, I asked for something to help calm her as she is not social, she's a guard dog. Of course she growled out him. She remembers what you did to her last time. He wanted to try to talk to me about social anxiety but no advice regarding German Shepherds. No, I'm not going to socialize her outside of our home as it would negate her guard duties. She is a happy, healthy, playful puppy. Yes, the first couple of years of German shepherds are T-rex mode! Yes, I know it's shedding season, she was just groomed a couple weeks prior. German Shepherds require daily brushing during this time. In response to your snarky remark about wanting to be a vet, gain knowledge on German shepherds. They are work dogs, not bird dogs. Apparently bird dogs is all you are familiar with. Next year, I will be changing vets for her shots. UPDATE: For response, Gemma is not aggressive at all! If she was, she would have expressed that at the initial visit when he violently shoved her against the wall while having her tied up. She is happy and loving towards everyone else including her groomer. Not once has she been aggressive towards anyone! He was the first person she has even remotely snarled at this last visit due to the first visit. However, even during this recent visit for her shots, she was not aggressive towards him as he administered her shots. The only comments regarding any type of advice was only towards bird dogs that he trains. Not once did he attempt to provide any information or advice regarding German Shepherds, hence the comment.
Apr 08, 2024 · Melinda AlleyI love this place. The staff is very friendly. An added bonus for me is that the building doesn’t have an awful smell when you walk in. I can’t say that about other facilities we took our pets too.
Mar 02, 2024 · Christine MooreWe have visited this place since we moved to Montgomery when our dog was 5 years old until he passed away when he was 17 and half years old. Over 12 years, we could completely rely on them for the care of him with their sincerity, warm heart and professionality. They always kindly and patiently answered my repeating questions with detailed explanations. They always explained and advised us the best and most reasonable way to treat and care for our dog. I can tell they care and treat the animals with love and respect. They are just great.
Dec 08, 2021 · Yoonju JungWhen we first started we loved them. Then when the last dog passed and we told them we were not getting another dog and they realized they were not going to get any more money from us, they just disposed of my sweet baby's body ... tossed him out like a piece of trash. --- Stay clear of this place.
