Dr Rachel Steel and her staff are amazing, the facility is spotless and modern. Our dog was attacked by another dog, our regular family vet tried to treat our dog but after multiple re infections he said we would have to recommend surgery or put the dog down. Since he does not provide high risk surgery ,he had us call around to various animal surgeons.Calling around to other animal hospitals , we were getting crazy prices and lengthy wait times just to see the our dog. Most wanted to re-preform services our vet already provided. By chance I read a review on our neighborhood app , about an amazing surgeon named Dr Steel at the pet surgery center of Fort Lauderdale , the review mentioned that she was not just doing her job to get paid, but that she and her staffed really cared, all being pet lovers. And it was TRUE! She does not play games with pricing, all prices are posted. She provides an initial consultation, unless it’s life threatening, and asks to retrieve all records from your family vet. No pressure, provides an immediate quote for services. In or case our vet provided all records immediately and surgery was done same day. The cost was definitely less then what we would have paid to other surgeons, and there was no sacrifice to care, actually just the opposite. She really does go above and beyond to treat your pet as it was her own.

I cannot express enough gratitude to Pet Surgery for the outstanding care they provided during my dog Astro recent hip surgery. From start to finish, the entire process was handled with the utmost professionalism and compassion.Camilo and Dr. Steel took the time to thoroughly explain the diagnosis, the surgical procedure, and the recovery plan. They answered all my questions with patience and made sure I felt comfortable moving forward with such an important decision for my dog’s health. On the day of the surgery, They kept me updated throughout the procedure. After the surgery, Theresa explain how it went and gave me detailed instructions for at-home care.The aftercare support was phenomenal. The team checked in regularly during the recovery process, ensuring my baby was healing well and addressing any concerns I had.I’m so thankful for the expertise and care of everyone at this office. If your pet needs surgery, I highly recommend them. Thank you guys ! 🫶🏼 also prices are not crazy like in most of the vet.

This place is truly amazing. From the second I walked in, I felt comfortable. Dr. Steele is truly amazing and so warm and welcoming and I can tell she truly loves animals and wants to help them unlike other places who are just after business or money. She made sure my dog had everything she needed to come home, and called to check on her the next day. She is also very reasonable with her prices and understands that not everyone has thousands of dollars to spend to help their pet no matter how much we love them. She gives us the opportunity to help our babies at a reasonable cost. She walked me through everything that was going to be done, and listened and understood what I wanted to be done rather than just telling me what was going to be done. If you want a knowledgeable, kind, reasonable place and surgeon.. this is definitely a good place.

Dr. Steele and her staff are incredible. From our first call to get information, Theresa was so informative, patient and sweet. She answered all of my questions, (I had a bunch) and made me feel so comfortable. When we arrived for my baby’s spay surgery, we met with Dr. Steele and immediately felt as ease and we and our pup just adored her. She got right down on the floor and cuddled with her which is the sweetest thing to see a highly specialized surgeon to do. She went over all of the details of the surgery and loved on our pup the whole time she was examining her. You can tell how much on a good-hearted person she is. Dr. Steele called us as soon as our baby was awake and we were able to pick her up early afternoon. Theresa gave us detailed post-op instructions and made sure that we knew that they were there for us and to reach out if we need anything. Mav was tired but lucid and did not experience any stomach upset or discomfort that night. She has just a small incision and now on post-op day 1 she’s eating and drinking and feeling good! The staff called this morning to check on her, which we really appreciated. I’d give 10 stars to Dr. Steele and her staff if I could for making this anxious mommy know immediately that I’d chosen the right surgeon to take care of my pup. Thank you for being so caring with our little girl!
