PAWS Chicago Medical Center & Lurie Clinic

As I write this it comes with heavy heart that I feel I was discriminated against yesterday as I had scheduled an appointment which I scheduled a spray and but apparently only scheduled vaccinations I expressed my disappointment but still wanted to continue the service for my animal and shortly after she was taken into the room a women returned and told me they won’t be able to do the procedure because she was “squatting and hissing at them”(who’s still only a kitten may I add) and labeled the reason being because of stress then when it was time for a refund the system was down(update I did get refunded my money hours later) I know my animal and I’m also going to school to be a vet I took her to this place because of the high reviews and how good everyone around me told me they were I say all this to conclude my animal was not in fact stress she was perfectly fine, in fact the following day I took her to a vet hospital were they had no problems with her and no complaints and I looked at the reviews I’m not the only poc this has happened to and I’m not upset just highly disappointed that an institution such as this one would treat caring customers like this and if you not in it for the passion of saving or helping an animal when you can what are you in it for?

I took my cat Mason and for neutering and hernia surgery on Friday. The services for the cat provided were excellent and he is recovering very well. However at pickup when I had questions for my cats medication and cone I paid for & they had forgotten I was treated very rudely and ignored. First she tried to charge me for a cone, once I agreed to purchase it, she told me he could not have it because it wasn’t necessary and she denied me for the medicine and proceeded to tell me not to cut her off While she’s speaking being very rude and aggressive when I’m obviously 8 months pregnant. I pretty got stressed & I told her to ask for a second opinion which the nurse proceeded to tell her where Mason ‘s medication was located and that he indeed needed to cone. I liked the service so I have another appointment for my other cat next week but I will be taking names and reporting people treating customers that way I literally cried in my car after leaving.

Took my 3 cats to get their rabies vaccine. Great service, waited a reasonable amount of time (20-min), found free parking on the street, and affordable! So thankful for the good work that PAWS does!

They do outstanding work. The staff on November 7th at the 26th street facility was great. Very professional. PAWS Chicago is a great help to the community and provides cost effective help for the animals and of income challenges it takes to care for all our animals. And to help the fostering of animals in need on there journey to find that forever home that they and humans crave. Safe travels to all the animals in need.

Got my boy neutered today, PAWS was amazing! Check-in process went smoothly, it was an affordable surgery and vaccination, and he was done within a few hours. Everyone was so kind, thank you!
