My dog would not be here today without Old Town Animal Care, plain and simple. Dr. Lyons and team have been absolutely incredible in identifying and assisting with major health issues my dog has had throughout the years. They are thorough, reliable, friendly, and kind. Thank you so much Old Town Animal Care. We love you đź’•

We brought our new puppy in for a check up and shots. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. We decided on the platinum puppy plan, which was offered but not pressured at all. We feel we made a great decision choosing Old Town.

I’ve been taking my dog to daycare here for five years. Daycare is fine. But you better pick up your dog before close because they don’t call to remind you of the closing time and if you’re past it, they board your dog without telling you and there’s no one to reach until they open up the next morning. When I dropped him off in the morning for daycare, I said I’m not sure if I will be a half-day or full day for daycare and at that time I should’ve been told that they close at 3 PM on Saturdays as a reminder. You need to know about the boarding process. There is absolutely NOONE there overnight with the dogs from closing time until opening time. I was told that there is video footage, but that no one looks at it to supervise that the dogs are OK unless there is a catastrophe that they find out about the next morning when they come in. My dog was left alone from 3 PM on Saturday until about 8 PM on Sunday with ZERO supervision - they couldn’t tell me if he was fed, what time he was fed or if he ate. I know he didn’t eat because he scarfed the equivalent of two meals down within the first few minutes of getting home. What kind of vet care would/should have practices like this? After the vet and daycare service is closed for the day at 3 PM, there is no one to reach. No phone number to call. No one to be found. Just your precious, priceless pet alone unsupervised. Shameful!!!! When I came in the next Morning to pick him up, all of these things were confirmed by the weekend manager. I asked to see the video footage and was told she doesn’t have access to it and that I need to talk to the head manager tomorrow. I was very upset and used a swearword and the reply from her was “I’m not going to be disrespected and I’m going to ask you to leave.” Status with the head manager calling me tomorrow is to be determined tomorrow. BE FOREWARNED not to board your pet here. I recommend Urban Pooch where they have multiple people in the rooms with the dogs 24/7, like it should be.

The veterinary services here are phenomenal. Every vet I’ve seen has been thorough, kind, transparent about pricing, realistic, and empathetic. Initially we just took our dog here because it was one of the vets that offered a free initial appointment after adoption at PAWS, but now we take our cat too. They worked with one of the vets to open up an urgent care appointment for our cat at the last minute on a Friday, and they even followed up the next day with a phone call and text. I love that you can schedule online too. Cannot say enough good things about this place. The front desk staff and medical assistants are also fantastic.

We always feel highly comfortable and confident bringing our vizsla to Old Town Animal Care and have been doing so for 4 years now. Everyone is highly professional yet empathetic; from the front desk staff, and the technician to the doctors all truly care for the pets and their humans. The best part is our dog is not just a number but is Nangu (his name) to everyone. We know they have our backs when we need them the most.
