i had seen the Mountain Mobile Vet truck in my area, Blairsville, and weeks before the time came to say goodbye to my Buddy, i had called him to see if he would come out. i currently use Copper Basin Vet Clinic, but ever since Dr Mitchell sold the clinic and moved to south Georgia, their prices have tripled, and the service has gone down......i didn't want to traumatize Buddy by taking him to the clinic to say goodbye.....Dr Kinsey came out, not accepting new patients, but he told me, for this he would come to me, and while saying goodbye SUCKS, it was the best possible experience, under the circumstances, that i could've hoped for. i held Buddy in my arms until he was gone, Dr Kinsey didn't rush me, and if i'd have known then what i know now, i would've done this every time i've had to say goodbye (way too many times over the years). and the cost was very reasonable..... i only wish he was taking new patients....

Mountain Mobile Veterinary Introduce
For local residents in Hiawassee and Blairsville, Georgia, searching under the category "Pet Hospital," Mountain Mobile Veterinary offers a distinctive and compassionate approach to animal healthcare by delivering veterinary services directly to your doorstep. This mobile practice, helmed by Dr. Kinsey, has garnered significant praise for its convenience, gentle care, and particularly its compassionate handling of sensitive end-of-life situations and the needs of pets with mobility challenges.
One heartfelt review comes from a pet owner in Blairsville who faced the difficult decision of saying goodbye to their beloved dog, Buddy: "i had seen the Mountain Mobile Vet truck in my area, Blairsville, and weeks before the time came to say goodbye to my Buddy, i had called him to see if he would come out. i currently use Copper Basin Vet Clinic, but ever since Dr Mitchell sold the clinic and moved to south Georgia, their prices have tripled, and the service has gone down......i didn't want to traumatize Buddy by taking him to the clinic to say goodbye.....Dr Kinsey came out, not accepting new patients, but he told me, for this he would come to me, and while saying goodbye SUCKS, it was the best possible experience, under the circumstances, that i could've hoped for. i held Buddy in my arms until he was gone, Dr Kinsey didn't rush me, and if i'd have known then what i know now, i would've done this every time i've had to say goodbye (way too many times over the years). and the cost was very reasonable..... i only wish he was taking new patients...." This poignant account highlights several key features of Mountain Mobile Veterinary. The convenience of in-home euthanasia is a significant benefit for pet owners wanting to provide a peaceful and familiar environment for their beloved companions in their final moments, avoiding the stress of a clinic visit. Dr. Kinsey's willingness to make an exception for a non-new patient in such a sensitive situation speaks volumes about his compassion and dedication. The fact that he did not rush the grieving owner underscores his empathetic approach. Furthermore, the reviewer found the cost to be "very reasonable," suggesting that in-home care from Mountain Mobile Veterinary is not only more comfortable but also competitively priced. The reviewer's regret at not having utilized this service for past losses emphasizes the positive impact of Dr. Kinsey's care during a difficult time.
Another review focuses on the convenience and gentle care provided for a senior dog with mobility issues: "I was in need of a vet for my 14-year-old large dog Carmel. She was due for her heartworm test. She is on Heartgard which is prescription only. Due to her limited sight and mobility issues a brick and mortar vet was not ideal. Dr. Kinsey, called me back quickly and he was able to see her the next day. He was very gentle and caring with her during the exam and blood draw. It was a great experience from beginning to end. I’m very grateful to Mountain Mobile Veterinary. Thank you for all you do in our community. I highly recommend Dr. Kinsey." This testimonial further emphasizes the benefits of a mobile veterinary service, particularly for pets who find traveling to a clinic stressful or physically challenging due to age or health conditions. Dr. Kinsey's prompt response and next-day availability demonstrate his commitment to timely care. The reviewer specifically notes his gentle and caring approach during the examination and blood draw, which is crucial for older or anxious animals. The overall positive experience and high recommendation highlight the value of Mountain Mobile Veterinary for providing stress-free and compassionate care within the community.
The "environment" of Mountain Mobile Veterinary is unique, as it shifts from the traditional clinic setting to the comfort and familiarity of the pet's own home. This can significantly reduce stress and anxiety for animals, particularly those who are fearful of car rides or veterinary clinics. For owners, it offers the convenience of not having to transport potentially ill or mobility-challenged pets. The atmosphere during consultations and procedures is characterized by Dr. Kinsey's reported gentleness and compassion, creating a more relaxed experience for both the pet and the owner.
The services offered by Mountain Mobile Veterinary include routine check-ups and examinations (as evidenced by the heartworm test), necessary diagnostic procedures (like blood draws), prescription refills (Heartgard), and crucially, compassionate in-home euthanasia. While the reviews don't detail the full spectrum of services, it is reasonable to infer that Dr. Kinsey can provide a range of basic veterinary care that can be effectively delivered in a mobile setting. This might include vaccinations, treatment for minor illnesses, and consultations on pet health and wellness. However, for complex surgical procedures or advanced diagnostics requiring specialized equipment, a traditional brick-and-mortar clinic might still be necessary.
The key features of Mountain Mobile Veterinary are its convenience of at-home service, which eliminates the stress of travel for pets and owners; Dr. Kinsey's exceptional compassion and gentleness, making potentially stressful procedures more comfortable; his willingness to go the extra mile, even for non-new patients in end-of-life situations; and the reasonable pricing of his services. The mobile nature of the practice makes veterinary care more accessible, especially for those with senior pets, pets with mobility issues, or those seeking a more peaceful setting for end-of-life care.
Currently, the provided reviews do not mention any specific promotional offers or wellness plans associated with Mountain Mobile Veterinary. Mobile veterinary practices may sometimes have different pricing structures or focus more on personalized care rather than standardized packages. Local users interested in understanding the cost of specific services or any potential discounts are encouraged to contact Dr. Kinsey directly at (706) 897-0605.
In conclusion, for local residents in Hiawassee and Blairsville, Georgia, searching for a "Pet Hospital," Mountain Mobile Veterinary offers a valuable and compassionate alternative to traditional clinics. Dr. Kinsey's mobile service brings veterinary care directly to your home, reducing stress for your pets and providing convenience for you. He is highly regarded for his gentle and caring approach, particularly during sensitive times like end-of-life care and for pets with mobility challenges. While the full range of services and any promotional offers would need to be confirmed by contacting Dr. Kinsey directly, the positive testimonials highlight the significant benefits of this mobile veterinary practice for the local community.

May 21, 2022 · Mona CosseThis Vet is NOT taking new clients and hasn’t for a few years now. This vet should state this in their profile. Hopefully, I have saved you time by calling and finding out via voicemail. Basically, stop advertising Mountain Mobile Veterinary because you are not.
Oct 14, 2024 · Juliann BBMy husky developed a hot spot on her rear with a lot of matted fur on top. Dr Kinsey did a great job cutting away and cleaning the area. He prescribed 3 items to cure the problem. He was thorough and very reasonably priced.
