My pets are well taken care of by the vets and vet techs at MAH. Always friendly service. I've taken all my pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits) there for 20 years. Dr. Backstrom and her team are amazing. Thank you for taking such good care of my fur babies.

Moore Animal Hospital, located at 1812 Jessup Dr, Fort Collins, CO 80525, USA, is a deeply trusted and highly respected institution within the "Pet Hospital" category. For decades, this facility has served the Fort Collins community, building strong, lasting relationships with pet owners and their beloved animal companions. Far more than just a place to pick up prescriptions, Moore Animal Hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care, acting as a full-service medical hub for a wide variety of pets, from the tiniest guinea pigs to the largest dogs, throughout every stage of their lives.

The environment at Moore Animal Hospital is consistently praised for being warm, welcoming, and comforting. The hospital's mission is to create a better community by fostering lasting relationships that genuinely care for both people and their companion animals. This ethos is reflected in the physical space, which is designed to be inviting and reduce stress for pets. As an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited facility, Moore Animal Hospital adheres to the highest standards of care, which encompasses the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of its environment. This accreditation, achieved by only about 15% of animal hospitals in the United States and Canada, signifies excellence across various aspects, including exam facilities, patient care, and cleanliness. While not explicitly detailed, such high standards imply modern, well-maintained examination rooms, a comfortable waiting area, and efficient behind-the-scenes facilities for diagnostics and surgery. The testimonials highlight that clients feel welcomed and that the staff makes a concerted effort to ensure a positive experience, treating each pet and owner with the utmost priority. This dedication to a supportive and caring atmosphere makes visits less daunting for anxious pets and their worried human companions, fostering an environment where care is delivered with genuine warmth and professionalism.

Moore Animal Hospital offers a truly comprehensive array of veterinary services, addressing the diverse health needs of pets from birth through their senior and geriatric stages. Their service spectrum is extensive, encompassing routine preventative care such as wellness exams, vaccinations, and parasite control, which are crucial for maintaining long-term health. They are equipped to handle a wide range of medical problems, including infectious, inflammatory, and immune-mediated diseases, endocrinopathies, respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions, as well as kidney, liver, and pancreatic issues. The hospital provides advanced diagnostic capabilities, including in-house laboratory equipment, digital X-ray, and dental X-ray, allowing for quick and accurate assessments. Surgical services are also a key offering, covering both routine procedures and more complex orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Dental care is a priority, with comprehensive services to maintain oral health. Beyond general medicine and surgery, Moore Animal Hospital excels in specialized areas such as senior pet care, recognizing the unique needs of aging animals and providing tailored support for conditions like mobility issues and cognitive decline. Their staff provides ongoing support for managing chronic conditions, offering guidance on medications, special diets (like recommending shampoos for alopecia or finding the right medication for a wheelchair-bound dog with DM), and general pet wellness. The hospital also offers pet hospice and euthanasia services, delivered with immense compassion, to help families navigate these incredibly difficult times. Additionally, they provide an upgraded online store for convenient ordering of pet food and medications, enhancing accessibility for clients.

What truly sets Moore Animal Hospital apart and makes it a standout choice for pet owners in Fort Collins are its distinctive features, which are consistently praised in client reviews. A primary feature is the long-standing trust and loyalty it inspires; clients like the one who has taken all their pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits) there for 20 years, or the one who drives from Broomfield for every visit, underscore the profound confidence and reliance placed in the hospital. The team, including highly regarded veterinarians like Dr. Backstrom and Dr. Josephs, is consistently described as "amazing," "friendly," "kind," and providing "outstanding" levels of care. This speaks to a deeply compassionate and skilled group of professionals who treat every pet "like our own." Their expertise extends to a wide variety of animals, demonstrating versatility in care. Another significant feature is their commitment to client communication and support. They provide "helpful appointment reminders," "thoughtful check-ins after any health concerns," and are "always available to answer questions and offer guidance." This proactive and supportive approach ensures pet owners feel informed and empowered throughout their pet's health journey. The fact that they can assist with complex and long-term conditions, such as managing a wheelchair-bound dog with degenerative myelopathy (DM) or addressing alopecia, highlights their dedication to lifelong partnership in pet health. Furthermore, their status as an AAHA accredited facility is a critical differentiator, signifying adherence to the highest standards of veterinary practice, which only a small percentage of hospitals achieve. This accreditation covers nearly every aspect of their hospital, from surgery and exam facilities to cleanliness and client service.

For promotional information, Moore Animal Hospital leverages its commitment to value and client satisfaction. They actively offer several attractive promotions for new and existing clients. For new clients, there's a compelling "$1 Nose-to-Tail Exam" offer, making it exceptionally easy for pet owners to experience their quality care without significant initial cost. This helps build trust and demonstrates their confidence in their services. They also run seasonal or ongoing savings on essential pet products, such as "Save up to $80 on heartworm, flea, and tick meds," providing financial relief for common preventative care needs. A notable program is their "Refer a friend to Moore Animal Hospital and you both get a $50 credit after their first visit" initiative. This not only rewards loyal clients but also encourages community growth through word-of-mouth, which is often the most impactful form of promotion. Their upgraded online store, which allows for quick and easy registration and linked pet records and prescriptions, along with auto-ship discounts and promotions, further enhances convenience and value for clients. Beyond these specific offers, their unwavering dedication to outstanding care, as attested by glowing reviews, serves as a powerful continuous promotion. Pet owners can connect with Moore Animal Hospital by calling (970) 416-9101, which also serves as their mobile contact. I trust Moore Animal Hospital and Dr. Josephs so much that I bring all three of my dogs up from Broomfield for every visit! I know they’re in excellent hands—from the veterinarians to the front office staff, the level of care is outstanding. They provide helpful appointment reminders, thoughtful check-ins after any health concerns, and ongoing support no matter what comes up. Whether it’s finding the right medication for my wheelchair-bound dog with DM or recommending shampoos for my other pup with alopecia, they’re always available to answer questions and offer guidance. As my dogs have aged and become more high-maintenance, I’m incredibly grateful to have Moore Animal Hospital by our side every step of the way. Thank you!!!

I took my Ragdoll to Moore for her first ever vet visit. Everyone was so happy to meet her. When the staff saw she was antsy to leave her carrier and explore, they kindly let us into a room where I could let her walk around. She was even given her favorite treat, and as a result she warmed up quickly. Our visit today went better than I could've imagined. Our veterinarian, Dr. Bumgardner, gave great advice on at home dental care and nutrition. I was expecting her to be upset with me when we returned home, but after a few minutes she went back in her carrier to go back! I am very pleased to have an animal hospital like Moore in my area.

We took our elderly cat, Willow, in today for some concerns we were having, and from the very beginning the care was excellent. They even caught something with our cats vision that had been missed before- not to mention how kind everyone here is. Receptionist was warm and welcoming, the tech was sweet, knowledgeable and so friendly, and the doctor was knowledgeable and kind. When it came time to discuss the balance, the team presented us with tons of different opportunities which was unbelievably kind. I couldn’t recommend the team here more!
