I called the emergency line when my dog was shot. The woman that answered told me it would be too expensive to treat him, and I should drive an hour away to a 24 hour clinic. I would have paid anything to keep my dog alive. Then when I got upset and hung up on her, she had the nerve to call back and tell me she didn't appreciate it. These people do not care about animals.

Welcome to Manley Animal Hospital

Manley Animal Hospital, located at 3812 SE Adams Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006, USA, functions as a key establishment within the Pet Hospital category, offering veterinary care to the local community. You can reach them via phone at (918) 333-7286 or on mobile at +1 918-333-7286. As a 'Pet Hospital,' it is expected to provide a wide array of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services for companion animals, aiming to cater to the diverse health needs of pets in Bartlesville and the surrounding areas.

The environment of Manley Animal Hospital, like any professional veterinary facility, is designed to accommodate various aspects of animal care. While specific interior design details are not publicly detailed, one can infer from its classification as a 'Pet Hospital' that it would feature examination rooms, a waiting area, potentially a pharmacy, and areas for hospitalization and surgical procedures. The layout is typically structured to facilitate efficient patient flow and to provide a sterile environment for medical procedures. The clinic aims to create an atmosphere that is both professional for the medical staff and as comfortable as possible for the animals and their owners, especially considering the often stressful circumstances under which pets might visit.

Manley Animal Hospital is expected to offer a comprehensive suite of veterinary services typical of a full-service animal hospital. These services generally include:

  • Wellness and Preventative Care: Routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworm), and nutritional counseling are foundational services aimed at maintaining a pet's long-term health and preventing diseases.
  • Diagnostic Services: This would encompass a range of tools to accurately diagnose conditions, such as in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), and potentially imaging services like X-rays (radiography) and ultrasound.
  • Medical Treatment: Managing a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses, including allergies, dermatological conditions, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, and endocrine disorders.
  • Surgical Procedures: Performing both routine surgeries (like spaying and neutering) and more complex soft tissue surgeries.
  • Dental Care: Professional dental cleanings, extractions, and other oral health procedures to prevent and treat dental diseases.
  • Emergency and Urgent Care: As highlighted by the customer reviews, the hospital has an emergency line, indicating that they do deal with urgent cases. While the specifics of their 24-hour availability are not clear from the provided information, their involvement in emergency situations is evident.

The facility would also typically manage pain, provide behavioral counseling for common pet issues, and offer microchipping for pet identification.

The features of Manley Animal Hospital are best understood through the experiences shared by its clients. The reviews indicate a significant dichotomy in customer perception, particularly regarding their approach to emergency situations and client communication. One review describes a deeply distressing experience where the emergency line allegedly suggested cost as a prohibitive factor for treatment and expressed a lack of empathy. This feedback, if representative, points to a potential area for improvement in communication and client relations, especially during highly emotional and urgent scenarios. It also highlights the critical importance of transparent cost discussions and a clear understanding of what "emergency service" entails regarding availability and policy.

However, another review offers a contrasting and highly positive perspective, praising the "most kind and considerate and helpful people" in an "awful situation." This review speaks to the compassionate and supportive nature of the vet and their team when a pet did not make it through an emergency. This suggests that while individual experiences can vary, the hospital does possess a team capable of delivering profound empathy and support during difficult times. This duality of feedback underscores that the human element of veterinary care – communication, compassion, and professional demeanor – is as crucial as the medical expertise. The statement "I found my vet" from the second reviewer is a powerful endorsement, indicating a high level of trust and satisfaction with the care and support received, even in a tragic outcome.

Therefore, a key feature of Manley Animal Hospital, based on these varied accounts, appears to be the **individualized experience** clients might have, largely influenced by the specific staff member or situation. While one experience cites a perceived lack of care and unappreciated communication, another highlights immense kindness and professionalism during a profound loss. This suggests that the hospital has the capacity for deep empathy and support, but consistency in client interaction during high-stress situations may be an area of focus. The ability to handle critical emergencies, even if outcomes are not always positive, is a core feature for any animal hospital, and Manley Animal Hospital is clearly involved in such cases.

Regarding promotional information, a veterinary hospital like Manley Animal Hospital would typically engage in several common practices to attract and retain clients, although specific current promotions are not provided in the given data. These may include:

  • **Online Presence:** A professional website detailing services, doctor bios, hours of operation, and possibly an online portal for appointments or medication refills.
  • **Community Engagement:** Participating in local events, sponsoring pet-related activities, or partnering with local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
  • **New Client Offers:** Discounts on first exams or packages for new pet owners to encourage initial visits.
  • **Wellness Plans:** Subscription-based plans that bundle routine preventative care services at a fixed monthly or annual cost, designed to make regular health maintenance more affordable.
  • **Client Education:** Providing valuable information through articles, brochures, or social media posts on pet health topics, preventative care, and common illnesses.
  • **Referral Programs:** Encouraging existing satisfied clients to refer new clients through incentives.
  • **Social Media Marketing:** Active engagement on platforms like Facebook or Instagram to share pet health tips, clinic updates, and showcase happy patients.

The most powerful promotional tool for any service-based business, especially in healthcare, is positive word-of-mouth. The strong endorsement from the second reviewer, "I found my vet," exemplifies the kind of client satisfaction that leads to organic growth and a loyal client base. Conversely, the negative review highlights the potential impact of perceived negative interactions on a clinic's reputation. Managing and responding to online reviews and ensuring consistent, compassionate communication across all touchpoints are vital promotional and reputational strategies for a veterinary hospital.

In conclusion, Manley Animal Hospital in Bartlesville, OK, serves as a comprehensive Pet Hospital providing a range of medical, surgical, and preventative services for animals. Its operational environment is geared towards efficient and professional animal care. While client experiences highlight both challenges in emergency communication and profound compassionate support, the hospital's involvement in critical cases underscores its role in the community's animal healthcare infrastructure. Like other facilities in its category, it likely utilizes a mix of traditional and digital promotional strategies, with client satisfaction and word-of-mouth being particularly impactful.

I brought my dog, Max, in for an emergency. He ended up not making it, but this vet and his team were the most kind and considerate and helpful people you would want to have in an awful situation like that. I found my vet.

They stayed late for an emergency call for my dog. I had her since I was a teenager. She meant a lot to our family. She had been hit by a car, and we were given honest options. I appreciated the compassion and empathy the Doctor and staff expressed towards us during this difficult time. You truly cannot teach that. Thank you Manley Animal Hospital.

Kind, fast, and understanding. My senior cat had to have surgery on his back paw to remove an infected mass. This was a completely new experience for me and Jingles, we had never been through this process before. The vet explained everything in a very simple and easy to understand manner, and it was a comfortable atmosphere to ask questions. He went over the cost with me and the invoice after surgery reflected exactly what he had said. The staff was respectful and compassionate, I definitely felt comfortable leaving my buddy with them. Very thankful to have found this clinic.
