We've been taking our dog here since we adopted her 3 years ago. Recently, she has been experiencing urinary incontinence and we took her to get checked a month ago. During the visit, I was seen by a tech and was told that they would be taking a urine sample to rule out UTI. After requiring to put a muzzle on my dog (like every visit) the staff brought her to the back I was given the info that the results came back negative and got prescribed tablets to "see if it'll work". I never got to see the Vet that day, but I had a few questions about the medication. All I got in response was, "Let me ask her". I ended up leaving with a bill over $300 with added expenses like an ultrasound on top of other fees. Of course, I will pay for the medical bill because I want to make sure that my dog gets better because it makes me sad seeing her pee herself throughout the day. After a few days, our dog was still experiencing leaking and called the clinic to state the pills weren't working. I talked to the vet and she said over the phone, "Well, you were only in just a few days ago. Give the pills a longer time to work" with a condescending voice. All I wanted were answers and I'm not very well versed in how animal medication works so I took the response with a grain of salt and left it at that. Last week, my husband received a missed call from the clinic. He called back and nobody picked up and left a voicemail. We waited a few days but we never received a call. We thought this was very unprofessional and decided to transfer our dog to another clinic. We gave them another call informing them we never received a call back from the Vet and that we would like to have our dog's files transferred over to the new clinic. The receptionist told my husband that she would leave a note to the Vet and she will email it to us. We continued to wait, but no email of our dog files. We contacted the new Vet twice and they said they tried contacting Magnolia and never received any files. Today, I ended up calling Magnolia and said I was coming in person and expected to have my dog files. Of course, they had all the files ready for me and the Vet also came out of her office and said she sent over the files. Why did it have to be where I finally lost my cool and where they started getting stuff done? She even had the nerve to say, "I'm sorry the tablets didn't work" and after doing research I countered with, "It's okay we'll do the next step with Proin". The Vet said, "Yes, we have that in stock if you'd like to continue with us" and I said, "No thank you". Like the audacity to get more money out of me after not apologizing for taking so long? No. Ironically, the new Vet we decided to take our dog to was someone I know from high school over 12 years ago. The vibes were completely different. She didn't want to use a muzzle on my dog and when they took her to the back and said she did a great job without one. She came back and said that our dog's bladder has a lot of urine in it and recommended doing a Urine Culture. They printed out an estimate BEFORE doing any procedures with a verified signature which was something Magnolia NEVER did for us. I asked the new Vet her honest opinion and she said she would have just gone straight to the urine culture and prescribed Proin. I researched and found that "A urinalysis only identifies if bacteria is present or not. It does not identify the quantity of bacteria, the name of the bacteria, or which antibiotics the bacteria is sensitive to. Without a culture, the vet is just making their best-educated guess at which antibiotic will work at correcting the UTI." It's unfortunate, that some Vets make educated guesses and quote, "see if it'll work" as if people just have money lying around for trial and error. Also, to do all these unnecessary added procedures. I love my dog and would do anything for her so I'm pleased to have her at this new clinic.

Welcome to Magnolia Pet Wellness Center

Magnolia Pet Wellness Center, located at 120 E Bruner Ave #100 in Las Vegas, NV 89183, operates as a "Pet Hospital" providing veterinary care to the local community. Understanding the environment, services, and features of this clinic requires a careful consideration of the feedback provided by its customers, as direct descriptions of the facility are absent from the available information. The reviews offer a mixed perspective, highlighting both potential shortcomings in service and, implicitly, the types of medical issues the clinic addresses.

Specific details about the physical environment of Magnolia Pet Wellness Center are not provided in the customer reviews. However, based on its function as a pet hospital, it can be inferred that the facility includes examination rooms for consultations and treatments, a reception area for client interaction, and likely areas for diagnostic procedures and possibly minor surgical interventions. The absence of comments on the clinic's ambiance suggests that it may not be a particularly noteworthy aspect for the reviewers, with their focus primarily being on the quality of care and the interactions with the staff.

The services offered at Magnolia Pet Wellness Center, while not explicitly listed, can be deduced from the medical issues presented in the reviews. The clinic has provided care for routine check-ups (as indicated by a customer being a patient for three years), as well as diagnostic and treatment services for specific conditions. One detailed review describes the investigation of a dog's urinary incontinence, which involved a consultation with a technician, a urine sample analysis, and an ultrasound. This suggests that the hospital offers diagnostic testing, including urinalysis and imaging. The prescription of medication ("tablets") indicates that pharmaceutical interventions are part of their treatment protocols. The mention of Proin as a potential next step for urinary incontinence further points to their familiarity with medications for managing such conditions.

However, a significant portion of the feedback revolves around the clinic's features, particularly concerning staff professionalism and communication. One recurring issue is the perceived rudeness and unprofessionalism of certain staff members, specifically a nurse and a front desk representative named Stacy. The detailed account of the interaction with the nurse includes a lack of greeting, apparent unfamiliarity with the patient's history, failure to conduct a physical examination, and an abrupt and unprofessional departure from the examination room. This raises serious concerns about the level of customer service and the attentiveness of some staff members.

Similarly, the experience with Stacy at the front desk highlights a lack of empathy and a dismissive attitude towards a pet owner concerned about their dog possibly ingesting chocolate, a known emergency. The reluctance to connect the owner with a veterinary technician for potentially life-saving advice and the cold referral to "ANY" animal hospital demonstrate a significant lapse in customer care and understanding of pet emergencies.

Another critical feature highlighted in the reviews is the communication and administrative processes of the clinic. The experience of trying to obtain the dog's medical records for transfer to a new vet was fraught with delays and a lack of follow-through. Missed calls, unreturned voicemails, and the eventual need for an in-person demand to receive the files point to inefficiencies and a lack of proactive communication from the clinic's administrative staff. The fact that an estimate for procedures was never provided, in contrast to the new veterinary clinic, suggests a potential lack of transparency in billing practices at Magnolia Pet Wellness Center.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Veterinary clinics often engage in promotions such as new client discounts, seasonal specials on vaccinations or preventative medications, or loyalty programs. However, there is no indication of such offers based on the available feedback. The negative experiences shared by multiple customers might overshadow any potential promotional efforts, as the focus is heavily on the quality of service and staff interactions.

Despite the predominantly negative experiences detailed in the reviews, it is important to acknowledge that these are individual accounts and may not represent the entirety of experiences at Magnolia Pet Wellness Center. However, the consistency of complaints regarding staff rudeness, poor communication, and administrative inefficiencies raises valid concerns for potential clients. The detailed account of the diagnostic process for urinary incontinence also suggests that the clinic does offer relevant medical services, even if the delivery and communication surrounding these services are perceived as lacking by some pet owners. The mention of a veterinarian, Dr. Barbier, indicates the presence of a qualified medical professional, although direct interactions with the vet were limited in the negative experiences described.

In conclusion, Magnolia Pet Wellness Center in Las Vegas functions as a "Pet Hospital" offering veterinary services, including diagnostics like urinalysis and ultrasound, and pharmaceutical treatments. However, the customer reviews strongly suggest significant issues with staff professionalism, customer service, and administrative processes. Potential local users should carefully consider these reported experiences when making decisions about their pet's care. While medical services are available, the negative feedback regarding communication, empathy, and staff demeanor could be a deterrent for pet owners seeking a supportive and efficient veterinary experience. It would be prudent for prospective clients to weigh these factors and perhaps seek further information or testimonials before entrusting their pet's health to this clinic. Contacting the clinic directly at (702) 570-6411 might provide an opportunity to assess their current service and address any concerns based on the feedback provided by other pet owners.

We have been going to Dr. Barbier for some time until yesterday when I had an altercation with Stacy at the front desk for the second time since becoming a patient. The first time I let it slide thinking perhaps she had a bad day. I called yesterday frantic requesting an urgent appointment as I believe my dog ingesting chocolate is an urgent matter, Stacy made me aware the doctor was not in the office, I requested to speak to one of the techs as a matter of fact I insisted to speak to one of the techs in case I needed to follow any protocols prior to rushing her to an urgent facility to which she reluctantly responded they are all busy and you won’t be able to be seeing regardless, she proceeded to ask my pets name only to follow with I can’t interrupt the techs take your pet to the Animal Hospital, to which I inquire which one, her respond was cold ANY. Stacy allow me to remind you, YOU represent Magnolia wellness pet center and Dr Barbier, your lack of empathy, compassion and costumer service had me shaken. We will no longer continue to be patients at this facility.

We have a senior over weight cat that suffers from arthritis. We felt defeated with her condition not improving. That was until we met Dr B and her staff. Making the appointment was super easy, front desk staff extremely organized. Vet techs tend to your pet like your pet is a queen. Dr. B listened to my concerns and set her up on a monthly shot (Solensia) and changed her food. Our cat went from laying around all day and walking in pain....to running around all day and night, playing and very engaging. We are extremely grateful!

This place is awesome! Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming! We live on the north side of town and it is definitely worth the drive coming down here for us. Everyone there made us feel like they really cared for our puppy and we are beyond appreciative of that. Ironically our puppy’s litter mate was there the same time we were and they brought him in so got to play for a little. I thought that that was really thoughtful of the staff! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet, groomer, boarder! Thanks again guys!!

The staff at Magnolia Pet Wellness are so kind and gentle with my fur babies! And Dr. Christina Barbier has given my Squeaky another 6 months to her senior life! And she is helping us deal with Foxy’s issues also. I drive over 15 miles to help my dog with her arthritis via acupuncture treatments! Highly recommend!
