I had a friend who visited this place before and liked the idea, I decided to try it as well. At first glance, the place is super clean and tidy. The lounge is so comfortable and cozy :) My kids enjoyed playing with the cats for an hour, they left before the hour as there wasn't that much to do with cats other than carrying them, I bet this place would have much more traffic if they added any cat-related activity to what they do already. I enjoyed chatting with another visitor there which is one of the advantages of this cute sitting area. Not too much options for snacks or drinks while waiting, i encourage them to have another thought about that option too like smoothies and healthy snacks to attract more people to it. Overall, it is worth visiting and having fun with these cute cats over there. The price is so reasonable as well. Oh and the front desk girl was super nice and cooperative, I especially thank her for allowing me to bring our puppy with us and let him have his own fun time as well :)

Lone Star Pawz CATfé Introduce
Welcome to Lone Star Pawz CATfé, a unique establishment located at 8209 Broadway St #103 in Pearland, Texas, offering a distinctive experience for cat lovers and those looking for a relaxing environment. While categorized under "Pet Hospital" on some platforms due to its potential involvement in cat adoptions and welfare, Lone Star Pawz CATfé primarily functions as a cat cafe, providing a space where visitors can interact with cats in a comfortable and tidy setting.
Based on customer reviews, the environment of Lone Star Pawz CATfé is described as "super clean and tidy," creating a pleasant first impression for visitors. The lounge area is noted to be "comfortable and cozy," suggesting a welcoming atmosphere where guests can unwind and enjoy the company of cats. The presence of a "cute sitting area" also fosters opportunities for socializing among visitors, adding another dimension to the overall experience.
The primary service offered at Lone Star Pawz CATfé is the opportunity to spend time with cats. For a reasonable price, visitors can enjoy interacting with the feline residents for a set duration, as mentioned in one review where children played with the cats for almost an hour. The cats are likely the main attraction, offering a chance to pet, hold, and simply be in the presence of these animals. This can be a particularly appealing experience for individuals who love cats but may not be able to have their own pets.
A potential feature of Lone Star Pawz CATfé, hinted at by the negative review, is its involvement in cat adoptions. The review mentions a "shelter" and "fosters" adopting through this establishment, suggesting that some or all of the cats present in the cafe may be available for adoption. This model serves a dual purpose: providing a home-like environment for adoptable cats and allowing potential adopters to interact with them in a relaxed setting, which can be more telling than a brief encounter in a traditional shelter environment.
However, it is crucial to address the serious concerns raised in one of the reviews regarding the adoption practices and the care of cats being transported through Lone Star Pawz CATfé, specifically mentioning an individual named Donna. This review details allegations of a kitten not being separated during transport as advised by vets, forgotten medication leading to health complications, and subsequent harassment when the pet parent reached out for help. It also mentions another pet parent whose cat passed away. These are significant accusations that potential visitors, especially those considering adoption, should be aware of and consider carefully.
While one visitor enjoyed chatting with others in the "cute sitting area," suggesting a social aspect to the cafe, another mentioned that there wasn't "that much to do with cats other than carrying them." This indicates a potential area for improvement in terms of offering more structured or engaging cat-related activities. Suggestions included adding cat-centric activities to enhance the visitor experience and potentially increase traffic.
The availability of snacks and drinks at Lone Star Pawz CATfé seems to be limited, as one reviewer noted "not too much options for snacks or drinks while waiting." They encouraged the cafe to consider expanding their menu to include items like smoothies and healthy snacks to attract a wider range of customers. This suggests that while the focus is primarily on the cats, enhancing the food and beverage offerings could improve the overall visitor experience.
Despite the concerns raised in one review, another visitor found the overall experience "worth visiting and having fun with these cute cats" and noted that the price was "so reasonable." The positive interaction with the "front desk girl," who was described as "super nice and cooperative" and even allowed a puppy to have "his own fun time," highlights a potential for friendly and accommodating customer service in some aspects of the establishment.
Given the conflicting feedback, it is essential for potential visitors to weigh the positive aspects of a clean and cozy environment with friendly staff and affordable prices against the serious allegations regarding adoption practices and cat welfare during transport. If you are primarily interested in spending time with cats in a relaxed setting, Lone Star Pawz CATfé may offer that experience. However, if you are considering adopting a cat from this establishment, it is strongly recommended to proceed with extreme caution, seek independent verification of their adoption processes and the health of the animals, and be aware of the negative experiences reported by other pet parents.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information provided for Lone Star Pawz CATfé. To inquire about any potential promotions, such as discounts on entry fees or special offers on food and drinks, you can contact them directly at (832) 980-2233 or +1 832-980-2233. You may also want to inquire about their policies regarding the care and adoption of their cats to make an informed decision about supporting this business.
In conclusion, Lone Star Pawz CATfé in Pearland, TX, offers a clean and cozy environment to interact with cats and socialize with other visitors. The price is considered reasonable, and some staff members are noted for their friendliness. However, serious concerns have been raised by a pet parent regarding the adoption practices and welfare of cats in transport, which potential visitors, especially those considering adoption, should take into account. If your primary interest is a cat cafe experience, it may be worth a visit, but proceed with caution and awareness of all available feedback.

Nov 11, 2024 · Osha MDO NOT ADOPT HERE!!! This is coming from a concerned pet parent. My poor baby was taken care of by amazing fosters (who no longer adopt through this shelter) and thankfully she got great care from them. Unfortunately Donna has zero care in the world when transporting my baby. She was recommended by vets to be separated from other pets and was NOT- Her fosters also had antibiotics which were “forgotten” upon loading up pets to be transported, when picking her up, the transport people were completely oblivious to her have any meds whatsoever. My 5 month old kitten would have been okay if we got her antibiotics but unfortunately we had to take her to the vet many times to help her. Upon reaching out, I was harassed by Donna instead of getting help. Another pet parent had their kitty pass away. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!! If anything happens to your poor baby, don’t bother. Donna will turn it on you and harass you.
Apr 06, 2025 · Amber Snively🐾✨ Just had the most purr-fect afternoon at the CATfe! For just $8, my son enjoyed a delightful experience that supports a great cause. He had a blast in the cozy cat cave, surrounded by the cutest cats, while I relaxed in the cafe sipping my coffee ☕. The best part? No orders or hair to worry about—just pure feline fun! If you're looking for a trendy spot to unwind and support our furry friends or looking to adopt, this is the place to be! Highly recommend! 🐱❤️ #CatCafé #GoodCause #FelineFun
Jan 23, 2025 · Brian HeironimusI love this place, cats are adorable and the employees are honest and friendly!! There are simple rules to follow when going in the cat cave, no shoes (so wear socks OR they will provide you with shoe covers) and no food/drinks. They also have a menu for food and drinks you can consume outside the cave.
Aug 16, 2024 · emily eliasThis place was pretty cool! We got to be around the cats in a room closed off from the Cafe. Cats were somewhat friendly and a few were very playful. My kids had a good time, with one kitten falling asleep in one's arms and one playing with a toy with another for most of time. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because I wish a staff member was in there with the group in the room. There was a young girl mistreating the cats, placing them on the wheel and when the cat tried to run away she would grab it and hold the cat. Our experience went from enjoying petting the cats and playing with toys to just protecting the few we could from her. I looked at adult with the child and saw her kick a cat away so realized she would not address the issue. The cafe had a bingo game going on and were busy with that, no one checked in on the room. The time allowed was great.
