I just got a 4 mo old Whippet puppy and we had our first vet visit at Dr. Lentz's clinic with Dr. Alexander and asst. Tara. Both were wonderful (as well as the Office staff). You can tell right away that Dr. A is very knowledgeable about dog health and takes the time to really explain things to you. She doesn't rush the information or you out the door. She answered my questions thoroughly and received them well and the pricing didn't seem at all exorbitant. I'm very happy I took Marshmallow there and plan to continue because I feel we're in good hands!

Welcome to Lentz Veterinary Clinic
Lentz Veterinary Clinic, a highly regarded establishment within the "Pet Hospital" category, is located at 11418 Kingston Pike STE A, Knoxville, TN 37934, USA. This clinic has built a strong reputation in the Knoxville community for providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough veterinary care for a variety of companion animals. The consistent positive feedback from clients underscores their commitment to both animal well-being and exceptional client service, often highlighting the professional yet approachable demeanor of its veterinarians and staff.
The environment at Lentz Veterinary Clinic is consistently described by clients as welcoming, comfortable, and reassuring. Testimonials frequently mention the "wonderful" office staff and the immediate sense that pets and their owners are "in good hands." This suggests a concerted effort to create a calming atmosphere for animals, who can often be anxious in a clinical setting. A typical "Pet Hospital" environment prioritizes cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. This would include well-maintained examination rooms, a comfortable waiting area, and designated spaces for various medical procedures such as diagnostics, surgery, and possibly recovery. The clinic's staff, including Dr. Lentz, Dr. Alexander, and assistants like Tara and Vanessa, contribute significantly to this positive environment through their "good kind" interactions, "sweet and lovely" demeanor, and evident care for the animals. The focus on making both the pet and the owner feel at ease is a hallmark of their operational environment, transforming potentially stressful situations into positive experiences.
Lentz Veterinary Clinic, as a full-service "Pet Hospital," offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to cater to the diverse health needs of companion animals throughout their lives. Based on client reviews and typical offerings of a reputable veterinary clinic, their services likely include:
Wellness and Preventative Care: This is a foundational aspect of their practice, encompassing routine physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols (e.g., canine distemper, parvovirus, rabies; feline panleukopenia, rabies, feline leukemia), and robust parasite control programs (fleas, ticks, heartworm, intestinal parasites). Nutritional counseling and lifestyle advice are also key components, promoting long-term health and preventing common ailments.
Sick Pet Visits and Diagnosis: Providing prompt and thorough evaluations for pets exhibiting symptoms of illness, including those with urgent needs like seizures, as mentioned in client testimonials. This involves detailed physical exams and the utilization of diagnostic tools to accurately identify underlying conditions.
Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose various conditions, the clinic would be equipped with essential diagnostic tools. This typically includes in-house laboratory capabilities for rapid blood tests (complete blood count, chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal exams. Digital radiography (X-rays) would likely be available for imaging bones, internal organs, and detecting foreign bodies, allowing for swift and precise diagnoses.
Surgical Procedures: The clinic performs a variety of surgical interventions. This would include common routine procedures such as spaying and neutering, which are vital for population control and preventing certain health issues. They also handle general soft tissue surgeries (e.g., mass removals, wound repairs, foreign body extractions). Emphasis would be placed on safe anesthetic protocols, meticulous surgical techniques, and attentive post-operative care, including pain management.
Dental Care: Oral health is a significant aspect of a pet's overall well-being. Services likely include professional dental cleanings (scaling and polishing) to remove plaque and tartar, and potentially extractions of diseased teeth. Proper dental care helps prevent periodontal disease, which can lead to more serious systemic health problems.
Pain Management: Recognizing the importance of comfort, the clinic would offer comprehensive pain management strategies for both acute and chronic conditions, ensuring pets recover comfortably from procedures or manage ongoing discomfort effectively.
Microchipping: This essential service provides permanent identification for pets, greatly increasing the chances of reunification if a pet becomes lost.
Pharmacy: An on-site pharmacy provides convenience for clients to obtain prescribed medications, including antibiotics, pain relievers, and various other veterinary pharmaceuticals, ensuring pets receive timely treatment.
Specialized Consultations (e.g., Seizure Management): As indicated by a client's experience with a seizing dog, the clinic is equipped to handle and manage serious conditions, including developing treatment plans and providing ongoing support for chronic illnesses.
The features that truly distinguish Lentz Veterinary Clinic are deeply rooted in the expertise and compassionate approach of its veterinary team and staff. Dr. Lentz and Dr. Alexander are consistently praised as "amazing" and "so knowledgeable," with a particular emphasis on their ability to "really explain things" thoroughly without rushing. This commitment to client education ensures that pet owners are "thoroughly informed" and "comfortable with the plan of care and treatment," empowering them to actively participate in their pet's health journey. The "good kind Drs" and the "sweet and lovely part of the team," including assistants Tara and Vanessa, highlight the clinic's cohesive and empathetic staff culture. The clinic's ability to handle "other serious problems" and provide "good information that has worked for my pet and easy for me to follow" demonstrates their clinical efficacy and client-centric communication. The long-term trust expressed by clients, who plan to "continue to bring any future pets" to the clinic, signifies a profound level of satisfaction and loyalty built over time. The pricing, described as "not at all exorbitant," also stands out as a positive feature, indicating value for the high quality of care provided.

Oct 11, 2024 · Mrs. BooeI took my dog to Lentz Veterinary Clinic today because my dog had a seizure and needed their help. I saw Dr Alexander and she gave Susie a good exam and blood work. I have used them for other serious problems and Dr Alexander and Dr Lentz are both amazing. They are both so knowledgeable and give such good information that has worked for my pet and easy for me to follow. They are also good kind Drs and I feel comfortable calling them with problems.
