I’ve had to bring my cat here twice and my family and I had our dog put down here. They are extremely expensive, but the care they provide is worth the price in my opinion. I first had to take my cat in 2020 because he had somehow gotten an ear infection which caused him to have vertigo. I recently had to take him again since he stopped eating, and he had pancreatitis! When my family and I put our Bella down, she was old and frail and it was time. The staff are so nice, compassionate, knowledgeable and just so kind. They really care for the animals that are brought in.

As someone else mentioned, I'm not sure how they have a 4.4 rating. I have never had a good experience there. It not only is an all day visit when you go there, but they rake you through the coals in costs and don't show one bit of concern towards your pet. At least, the workers I have encountered are like that. My daughter took her pet there today and had the same exact experience. If you have another option besides this place, I highly suggest using it.

I made an appointment with Latham Animal Hospital after moving nearby earlier this year. The nurse I was with was curt and I barely spoke with the Doctor, who just gave me a handout on helping cats with anxiety when I brought up that concern. I paid a $50 deposit and requested to get updated shots for my cat, the receptionist said the appointment would cost $80. My old vet would have charged $120 for the visit, as they had done the year prior, but when I went to the receptionist to pay my bill they charged me $370. They claimed that between the two shots and a prescription for an ear infection the cost went up. The receptionist apologies for "increasing vet prices" and said her manager wasn't in today to talk about it. I will not be going back to Latham Animal Hospital. I suggest moving forward they are accurate when they give a quote.

How is this place a 4.4 average review? Scroll and read a few below my review and you’ll see why it seems way worse than 4.4 and in my opinion is about a 1.3/10. I’ve been at a new vet for years now and that’s how much I hate this place is I came back to remind y’all to not go here. If you love your pet, simply go elsewhere. Incompetent staff as a whole. Money hungry. Zero empathy. Terrible terrible place.
