I now take my 120 pound rescue to Knightdale animal Hospital since Banfield continued to bill me for a year even though they euthanized my dog. That said Knightdale animal Hospital is wonderful! They care, they are professional and extremely knowledgeable. Hands-on, very clean, fair pricing, and everything about it Had me leave in good spirits. Plus my rescue liked them that is very telling I give them five stars most definitely. My girl has a little weight problem, but we are working on it😉

Welcome to Knightdale Animal Hospital

Welcome to Knightdale Animal Hospital, your local Pet Hospital located at 7527 Knightdale Blvd, Knightdale, NC 27545, USA. You can reach us at (919) 261-8811 or our mobile number +1 919-261-8811. Based on online reviews, Knightdale Animal Hospital appears to offer a range of veterinary services, with customers reporting both positive experiences regarding general pet care and more critical experiences related to specific services like pet cremation.

One customer shared a highly positive experience, highlighting the hospital's caring, professional, and knowledgeable staff, the cleanliness of the facility, fair pricing, and a positive demeanor upon leaving. They specifically mentioned their large rescue dog's positive reaction to the hospital, which they found very telling, and awarded Knightdale Animal Hospital a five-star rating. This review suggests a competent and compassionate approach to routine veterinary care.

Conversely, another customer recounted a distressing experience with the cremation service for their cat. They reported a significant error where their pet, intended for private cremation, was mistakenly handled as a communal cremation, resulting in the inability to receive their cat's ashes back. The reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the initial interaction with the front desk staff, noting a lack of condolence and insufficient information about saying goodbye to their pet. While acknowledging the kindness of the veterinarian and the manager's acknowledgment of the mistake and efforts to prevent future occurrences, this customer could not recommend the hospital for pet cremation services and suggested dealing with cremation services directly.

Considering these contrasting experiences, this introduction aims to provide an objective overview of what local users might expect from Knightdale Animal Hospital, based on these real customer accounts.

Our Environment: Clean and Professional with Areas for Grief

Based on the positive review, the environment at Knightdale Animal Hospital is described as "very clean," suggesting a commitment to hygiene which is crucial in a veterinary setting. The negative review implies the presence of a room where owners can say goodbye to their pets before cremation, though the process of accessing this space was not clearly communicated to the reviewer initially. Overall, the environment likely includes:

  • Clean examination rooms for consultations and treatments.
  • A reception area for clients.
  • Potentially, a designated space for owners to spend time with their pets before end-of-life services.
  • Facilities for cremation services, though the handling of these services appears to be an area of concern based on one review.

The positive feedback suggests a well-maintained and professional clinic setting for general veterinary care.

Our Services: General Pet Care and Cremation

Based on the customer reviews, Knightdale Animal Hospital offers at least the following services:

  • General Veterinary Care: Including wellness exams, treatment for illnesses, vaccinations, and potentially surgery, as indicated by the positive experience with a large rescue dog.
  • Euthanasia Services: Implied in the context of the positive review where the customer switched from a hospital that had euthanized their previous dog.
  • Cremation Services: Offered for deceased pets, though the process and handling have been a point of criticism in one review. This includes options for private and communal cremation, although a significant error was reported with the handling of a private cremation.

It's reasonable to assume they offer other standard veterinary services typical of a pet hospital, such as dental care, diagnostic imaging, and more, although these are not specifically mentioned in the provided reviews.

Our Features: Caring Staff and Areas for Improvement

Features highlighted by the reviews include:

  • Caring and Knowledgeable Staff: The positive review specifically praises the staff for their care, professionalism, and knowledge.
  • Hands-on Approach: The same review mentions a "hands-on" approach, suggesting active and engaged care.
  • Fair Pricing: The positive review notes that the pricing was fair.

However, the negative review points to areas needing improvement, particularly in the communication and handling of pet cremation services, the initial interaction with front desk staff during a sensitive time, and the supervision of staff involved in these processes.

Promotional Information: Not Explicitly Mentioned

Neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific promotional offers. The positive review does highlight "fair pricing," which could be seen as a consistent value proposition. To learn about any current promotions or specific pricing for services, local users would need to contact Knightdale Animal Hospital directly.

For local users in Knightdale, NC, Knightdale Animal Hospital at 7527 Knightdale Blvd offers general veterinary care that has been positively reviewed for its caring and professional staff, cleanliness, and fair pricing. They also offer pet cremation services, although one customer reported a significant error in the handling of a private cremation. If you are seeking general veterinary care, the positive feedback is encouraging. If you require pet cremation services, it may be prudent to discuss the process and safeguards with the hospital in detail or consider dealing with a dedicated cremation service directly, based on the concerns raised in one of the reviews.

In conclusion, Knightdale Animal Hospital provides veterinary services in Knightdale, NC, with positive feedback regarding their general pet care. However, a critical review highlighted significant issues with their pet cremation service. Local pet owners should consider these perspectives when deciding if Knightdale Animal Hospital meets their needs. For more information on their services and approach, contacting them directly at (919) 261-8811 is recommended.

I brought my cat who passed away unexpectedly and suddenly here to have him cremated. It was my first time with this hospital. Despite him being entered as private cremation he was taken as communal mistakenly and I could not receive his ashes back and cannot visit the private location for communal cremation pets. I awaited two long weeks anxiously to be informed of this mistake as I thought the cremation was just still in process. The manager said they are working to ensure this does not happen to anyone ever again and asked what can be done to help. But unfortunately I cannot recommend this place to anyone who is hoping to have a smoother process at a delicate time of grieving the loss of a loved one. I suggest you find a cremation service and deal with them directly. I also would recommend the front desk workers express a comment of condolence as I pass them my lost pet. As she took my pet to get him “ off my hands” there was no information regarding where she would take him and did not inform me that I can go say bye in a room until I asked if I can see him again. It felt as though I handed her my card to pay and he was gone. Just a transaction which I am not used to experiencing at an animal hospital. My overall experience here was uneasy and not comforting. This was my first time cremating a pet. The vet who visited my room as I said goodbye was kind and the manager took responsibility for this mistake but I would have preferred a different experience and greater supervision of staff handling our pets. Rest in peace my Ginger bread

I have been coming to this office for over a decade. The staff is always kind, accommodating and patient with my senior dog who is less than cooperative during her annual visits. They were timely with little to no wait to be seen and we were in and out. Thank you for the outstanding service you always provide to me and my fur babies.

The love and care of a pet is a sacred thing. When choosing a veterinarian, there are the regular visits and the sad visits. We brought our sweet Luna in October because she had been exhibiting some concerning behaviors. The doctors and reception were very kind and helpful. We found through blood tests and diagnosis that Luna had a serious kidney issue. Dr Claire and Dr D'Annibale helped us through the past 5 months in giving treatments to Luna that would hopefully keep her comfortable and plugging along. They were hands on in showing us how to administer subcutaneous fluids at home and they responded quickly to all of our concerns. There were many concerns as CKD is a tough thing to battle. They were always so sweet and kind to my wife and I. Unfortunately, the disease ran its course and we ran out of options. We made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to Luna. While there is no happy ending, Knightdale Animal Hospital handled our stress and panic with care and love. I can tell the staff here are genuinely loving people and I wish the greatest blessings on them. This cannot be an easy job but they have the fortitude to be professionals with a caring touch and bedside manner. I will always be grateful for these folks and when the time is right to meet a new member of our family, we will gladly place them in the loving care of Knightdale Animal Hospital. It's been quite a ride, but the past 5 months of memories, kisses, squishes, and goodbyes would not have been possible without them. Thank you!

My sweet harly passed away a few weeks back and I rushed her here as I wasn't just going to accept that. The team here had my girl in the back in less then 30 seconds to confirm my worst fear. They then gave me a private room and wrapped her in a blanket to say my final goodbye and gave me all the time I needed. A few days later I received a card that had a written note and signed by the staff members. I have taken all my pups here for a decade and I will not go anywhere else. Amazing staff and the little things matter and it shows they actually care.
