Super kind and understanding staff. Very accommodating with our difficult, reactive dog. Then when Charles passed away, they sent us the sweetest card signed by everyone.

Welcome to Jordan Creek Animal Hospital
Welcome to Jordan Creek Animal Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 3401 EP True Pkwy in West Des Moines, Iowa. As a provider of veterinary care within the Pet Hospital category, we aim to serve the pet owners of West Des Moines and the surrounding areas with a range of medical services for their animal companions. Understanding the importance of your pet's health, we strive to offer the necessary care to support their well-being. However, it's important to consider a balanced view based on customer feedback regarding our services and practices.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment and staff at Jordan Creek Animal Hospital appear to have both positive and negative aspects. One reviewer described the staff as "Super kind and understanding" and noted their accommodating approach with a "difficult, reactive dog." This positive feedback suggests a compassionate and patient environment, particularly appreciated by owners of pets with special needs. The thoughtful gesture of sending a sympathy card signed by everyone after the passing of a pet further indicates a caring and empathetic team. This suggests that for some clients, the clinic fosters a sense of personal connection and understanding.
However, another review presents a contrasting perspective, stating "Twice the price Half the customer service." This feedback raises concerns about the perceived value of the services in relation to their cost and the level of customer care received. The reviewer described the clinic as "absurdly overpriced," citing a significant charge for a routine check-up required for government documents on a healthy pet. This suggests that some clients may find the pricing structure to be considerably higher compared to other veterinary options in the area.
Furthermore, the same reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the clinic's punctuality, claiming they "show up ~30 minutes late to every appointment." This lack of timeliness can be a significant inconvenience for pet owners and may detract from the overall experience. The reviewer also criticized the demeanor of the front desk staff and vet assistants, stating they "can't be bothered to have a polite demeanor or even fain for a moment the slightest amount of professional attitude." This negative feedback regarding customer service is a serious concern, as it impacts the overall client experience and perception of the clinic.
In terms of the veterinary examination itself, one reviewer described it as brief, with the vet "basically poke at your dog for 2-4 minutes give it shots and send you on your way." This suggests that some clients may perceive the examinations as rushed and lacking thoroughness. The reviewer also raised concerns about the consistency of the veterinary team's review of the pet's file, recounting an instance where a recommendation from a previous visit was seemingly forgotten. This lack of continuity in care and communication can undermine client confidence in the clinic's attention to detail and personalized approach.
Considering the category of Pet Hospital, Jordan Creek Animal Hospital likely offers a range of standard veterinary services, including routine check-ups and wellness examinations, vaccinations, and potentially other diagnostic and treatment options. However, the stark contrast in customer experiences highlights the importance for prospective clients to weigh these differing perspectives. While some appreciate the kindness and understanding of the staff, others have significant concerns regarding pricing, customer service, and the perceived thoroughness of the veterinary care provided.

While some clients have experienced a kind and understanding staff who are accommodating to pets with behavioral challenges and offer compassionate support, others have raised significant concerns about the clinic's pricing, customer service, appointment punctuality, and the perceived thoroughness of the veterinary examinations. Jan 10, 2025 · Janelle ReasonerTLDR: Twice the price Half the customer service. This place is absurdly overpriced. I just paid almost $400 for a check up on an extremely healthy pet. Just to provide government required documents. On top of that they show up ~30 minutes late to every appointment. The front desk staff/vet assistants can't be bothered to have a polite demeanor or even fain for a moment the slightest amount of professional attitude. The vet you get will basically poke at your dog for 2-4 minutes give it shots and send you on your way. They also have no consistent review of your pets file and will ask why your feeding your dog this absurd diet and when you say, "because in our last visit I was told to do this." They look dumbfounded. For the hiked price I expect an enhanced experience for either my pet or myself not the opposite. Going to my previous country vet I paid $100 for everything and the experience was personally tailored to make it most beneficial for my pet and myself.
Jun 17, 2019 · Brandon CarriereWe had Dr. Kaylee Endres. Excellent “bedside manner” playing with our dog while doing a thorough exam, and she explained her entire thought process very well about next steps. Both her and her assistant clearly read through our dog’s previous file and were very well-prepared for our visit. Overall did an excellent job and I feel that our pets received high quality care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet.
Apr 25, 2024 · Jacob MartinezSince moving to Iowa, we have been bringing our dogs to Jordan Creek Animal Hospital. The staff have been nothing but caring and empathetic during some of the most stressful of vet visits. I can say that I have full trust in them providing the best care for our pets!
Jul 27, 2024 · Kim TafaroCan’t recommend Dr Dan Whitney enough. His compassion was much appreciated when our 9 yr old doodle had to be put down. He was so patient and kind with our whole family. Can’t thank him enough.
