Best place to bring your dog in every single aspect. For my dog's entire 17 year life this place gave him the best possible medical support and quality care that I could have ever hoped for.

My dog hates going to the vet. But she kissed that doctor and he is so good with her. She has had surgery with him and regular check ups. We moved to Naples from Marco island, tried 2 other vets and started going back to island animal hospital. Worth the drive.

EXCELLENT!!! Super caring, compassionate, professional, and willing to do whatever they can to help our dogs. Starting with the wonderful staff who answered the phone, they listen and don’t rush to get you off the phone, or out of the diagnosis room. They try to accommodate and squeeze in emergency situations. Dr. Bongiorno was wonderful!!! Astute, knowledgeable, well versed, and quickly diagnosed our dog’s ailments. We were on Marco for a week. 2 of our dogs needed emergency attention for different reasons on different days. Both times, they squeezed us in between appointments. We can’t leave our dogs, bc of their ailments, so the staff allowed us to wait in our car until they could see our dog. Once they examined and x-rayed our dog, we were called in to discuss the findings with Dr Bongiorno. He took the time to ask questions about the dog’s extensive medical history. He added medicines, which unlike our vet in Chicago, had in house. Gave us extensive information on the myriad of medications and side effects that our one dog was on, and gave us a wealth of information and possible causes for the sudden onset of pain in our other dog. He answered all our questions and didn’t act rushed even though we were between his surgeries/appointments. A breath of fresh air from what we get in Chicago. Dr Bongiorno is excellent and an absolute gem! This will definitely be where we will take our dogs wherever the need arises as we vacation On Island, and will be our veterinarian when we move there full time.
