Hometown Veterinary Services

We use hometown vet if our primary vet can’t get us in and they are always wonderful. They always get us in pretty much same day if not the next day. I was told that they hold a few spots open each day unscheduled in case there are animals that need seen urgently which I think is amazing. Last spring our tabby declined very quickly suddenly and needed to go to the ER and they took us in at a moments notice instead, saving us god knows how much and also saving his life. We have been there and have seen multiple different vets including Dr. Pugh and Dr. Estock and both have been stellar. Dr. Estock takes his time and listens intently and doesn’t make you feel rushed at all like many other vets, who we all know are busy. The technicians are also all lovely, especially Alexis who has been amazing and kind all of the times we have been there. The office is beautiful and clean, and the front desk staff is very welcoming and kind as well. I have had to reschedule and schedule so many times and they are always accommodating and happy to help. They are a great choice for a vet and have a wonderful team. Thank you for taking great care of our babies!

I can’t say enough good things about this veterinary clinic! They were able to get my dog in the very next day, which was such a relief. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The staff was not only professional but also very personable, taking the time to make my dog feel comfortable and to explain everything clearly to me. It’s rare to find a place that truly goes above and beyond, but this clinic absolutely does. I’m so impressed with the care and attention we received and will definitely be returning here for all of my vet needs. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care!

I usually don’t make reviews as much but i am truly just upset with how this vet handled my cats issue. I felt like it could’ve been done way more professionally and carefully. Especially for a place that specializes in pets. I have a 2 year old feline and noticed she had an itchy scabby spot on her neck. We were really worried so took her to this vet for our first time. To begin when i first walked into the office the lady asked me what was the time of my appointment and name. So i told her i had an appointment set for 10:30 and she looks at me and says no it was actually 10:45, I have the email confirmation that i was correct and even brought that up to her and she said oh your fine hun. Which i felt was just unprofessional office wise. After waiting for my name to be called The technician escorts me to my room which i had an appointment with dr.estock. She tells me that they are going to take my cat to clean up the area and shave it. i didn’t feel as comfortable because i know my cats personality and just knew that she would be uncomfortable with that. So she takes my feline and says she will be back. As time goes by im getting more and more stressed since they were taking a while with her in the back and i couldn’t see anything they were doing . At this point i didn’t even met Dr.estock yet…. So now when the technician is finished she comes back with dr.estock and they tell me that they couldn’t even look at my cat because of how overwhelmed she was and just shot her up with an anti-biotic. So yeah at this point i’m just now meeting the Dr and he tells me that he just gave my cat a vaccine that no one asked me or permitted to do so. He also gave the cat a vaccine without even knowing what the condition was because like he said he wasn’t able to even get a look at it. This in a whole is just so unprofessional and such a wrong thing to do in a health field. He said he could’ve sedated her but instead just gave her a shot. That still does not justify his actions which were very wrong. He ended up giving me a flea and tick preventive that he said if didn’t work come back within 2 weeks. As cat parents, you should know no one can really afford to come back every 2 weeks without even knowing if what they are doing is helping on top of the way i and my feline was treated to began with. Let’s not forget to mention how stressed my cat was when she came back and didn’t calm down until i was in the car sitting with her. Please do not go to this vet. They seem money hungry in my personal observation and the staff were very ignorant and unprofessional. Down below is how my cat was stressed when she came back with the technician and Vet. Also he asked the tech to get some treats for the cat and then just threw them in the cage and one of them hit her in the face which i thought was just not appropriate to do to a cat that is obviously upset. or just in general don’t throw anything at anyone’s cat.

Having to make the most difficult decision for my fur baby was made a little easier with the compassion, kindness, support, understanding and all the time we needed. I can't thank the entire staff and Dr. Pugh enough for being so gentle with Mocha through her transition. Truly the best around!

Hometown is the vet we have ever been to. Almost 2 years ago they saved my daughter’s young dog that was only a little over a year old. We had taken Zola to metropolitan animal hospital & she was diagnosed with having parvovirus. We were devastated & had know idea what to do because we definitely couldn’t afford treatment at metropolitan. We had called many many other vets & were not having any luck. When we called hometown they said they were booked up & couldn’t get her in at first. The receptionist told my daughter to hold for a minute & talked to one of the vets & they told us to bring her right in. They were absolutely AMAZING with Zola. They even kept her for a few days taking very good care of & saved her life. Without them our fur baby would not be here & we could not thank them enough!! We also started taking my other daughter’s chihuahua there, & they are great with her too. I also plan on bringing my cat there soon as well. Thank you again for everything Hometown!!
