Dr Rouse is AMAZING! I’ve got a teen pup, lil gremlin Chesapeake, and he is such a good boy for her! She creates a safe, comfortable environment for the dogs while working with them, and I love learning about the dogs muscular structure and function! If your dog has any type of hip or mobility issue, highly recommend her! My husband is now wanting to take his chessie, who has hip dysplasia at 4, to her for care! Words can’t express how awesome she is!!!

As a part of the Pet Hospital platform, Homestead Veterinary Rehab & House Calls, PLLC, appears to specialize in a niche area of veterinary medicine: rehabilitation. This suggests that their services are likely geared towards pets recovering from surgery, injury, or those managing chronic conditions affecting their mobility and physical function. While the term "Pet Hospital" typically implies a facility-based practice, the inclusion of "House Calls" indicates a mobile aspect to their services, bringing veterinary care directly to the pet's home. This can be particularly beneficial for pets that are stressed by travel or have difficulty moving.
Given the name, the services offered likely center around veterinary rehabilitation. This could include a variety of therapeutic modalities aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and improving the quality of life for animals. These might encompass manual therapies such as massage and stretching, therapeutic exercises tailored to the pet's condition, hydrotherapy (if facilities allow or through referral), and the use of modalities like laser therapy or electrical stimulation. The focus is often on addressing musculoskeletal issues, neurological conditions, and aiding post-surgical recovery.
The inclusion of "House Calls" as part of their name suggests a significant feature of their practice. This service allows pets to receive veterinary care, particularly rehabilitation services, in the familiar and comfortable environment of their own home. This can reduce stress for the animal and provide convenience for the owner. It also allows the veterinarian to assess the pet's mobility and environment in their natural setting, which can be valuable for developing a rehabilitation plan.
A key feature highlighted in the customer review is the approach of "Dr. Rouse." The reviewer describes her as "AMAZING!" and notes her ability to create a "safe, comfortable environment" for the dogs during their sessions. This suggests a gentle and patient demeanor, which is particularly important in rehabilitation where the animal might be in pain or hesitant to move. The reviewer also appreciated learning about the dog's muscular structure and function, indicating that Dr. Rouse may take an educational approach with pet owners, helping them understand their animal's condition and the rehabilitation process.
The review specifically recommends Dr. Rouse for dogs with "any type of hip or mobility issue," and mentions that the reviewer's Chesapeake Bay Retriever pup, as well as their husband's dog with hip dysplasia, are benefiting or are intended to benefit from her care. This strongly suggests that Homestead Veterinary Rehab & House Calls, PLLC, specializes in addressing orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions through rehabilitation. The positive feedback emphasizes the effectiveness of Dr. Rouse's methods and her rapport with the animals.
While specific details about the clinic's physical environment (for in-clinic visits, if any) and a comprehensive list of all services are not provided, the information strongly points towards a focus on mobile veterinary rehabilitation services, particularly for pets with mobility issues. The positive customer testimonial serves as a form of "promotional information," highlighting the skill and effectiveness of Dr. Rouse in this specialized field.
