Unprofessional and rude. A elderly family member took one their pets there and they didn’t do anything that the appointment was supposed to be for but performed all sorts of tests then got upset and rude and belittled my family member when they said they were on a fixed income telling my family that they obviously don’t care about their pet since they don’t want to spend $$$ on all the issues they found apparently. The animal was a rescue and had surgery recently and its hair is starting to grow back finally and the vet even was saying that the lack of hair was from fleas and that they need to change the flea meds. There are no fleas the animal was shaved for surgery 2 months ago. If you value having a opinion on your pets or want what is best do not go there, as they seem to only care about the money and do whatever they want to your pets them belittle you for questioning them. Edit to add in your response: Nice assumption to assume I was not present during the visit. I guess whatever makes you feel a little better at night. But if you would like I could most definitely bring in your diagnosis as well as the vet who has seen the pet since and their diagnosis because YOU misdiagnosed the pet and pushed meds that were NOT needed. Maybe you should further your education because it’s very very obvious that you have no idea what you are doing.

Healthier pet Introduce
Healthier pet, located at 2996 W Park Dr, Huntington, IN 46750, USA, operates as a Pet Hospital serving the local community. When choosing a veterinary care provider, it's essential to consider the experiences of other pet owners to gain insight into the clinic's environment, services, features, and overall approach. The publicly available reviews for Healthier pet present a mixed picture, with both positive and negative feedback regarding their services.
One review describes a significantly negative experience, alleging unprofessional and rude behavior from the staff. According to this account, an elderly family member brought their pet for a specific appointment, but the clinic reportedly performed numerous tests not related to the appointment's purpose. The reviewer claims that when concerns about the cost were raised due to the family member being on a fixed income, the staff became upset, rude, and belittling, implying a lack of care for the pet due to financial constraints. Furthermore, the review mentions a misdiagnosis regarding hair loss, attributing it to fleas despite the animal having been shaved for recent surgery. This reviewer strongly advises against visiting Healthier pet, suggesting a focus on financial gain over the well-being of the animals and a dismissive attitude towards pet owners' opinions.
In contrast, another review expresses strong gratitude for the "care that is above and beyond" provided to their dogs. This positive feedback also highlights the clinic's provision of exotic animal care, which is beneficial for owners of non-traditional pets. The reviewer praises the staff as "knowledgeable and caring," emphasizing their amazing education and support, as well as their deep passion and love for animals. This account paints a picture of a dedicated and versatile veterinary practice.
Given these starkly contrasting experiences, it is challenging to definitively characterize the environment of Healthier pet. One review suggests an unprofessional and potentially confrontational atmosphere, particularly when financial concerns are raised. The other review implies a caring and supportive environment, especially for owners of both traditional and exotic pets. Local users may need to consider these differing perspectives when evaluating the clinic's environment.
Regarding the services offered, the positive review indicates that Healthier pet provides care for both common pets like dogs and exotic animals such as snakes. This suggests a broader scope of expertise than some general veterinary practices. The negative review mentions the performance of various tests and the prescription of medication, implying diagnostic and treatment capabilities. However, the specifics of routine wellness exams, vaccinations, surgical procedures, dental care, or emergency services are not detailed in these reviews. The discrepancy in the reported experiences also raises questions about the consistency and quality of service delivery.
Features of Healthier pet appear to include the ability to care for exotic animals, which is a notable specialization. The positive review emphasizes the knowledgeable and caring staff, their commitment to education and support, and their passion for animals. Conversely, the negative review alleges unprofessionalism, misdiagnosis, and a focus on upselling unnecessary tests and treatments, coupled with a dismissive attitude towards client concerns and financial limitations. The opposing viewpoints make it difficult to identify consistent and reliable features of the clinic's practice.
No promotional information is explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in learning about any special offers, new client discounts, or wellness plans at Healthier pet would need to contact the clinic directly.
The significant divergence in customer experiences at Healthier pet necessitates careful consideration by local users. The positive review highlights exceptional care and expertise in both traditional and exotic animals, suggesting that some pet owners have had very satisfactory experiences. However, the detailed negative review raises serious concerns about professionalism, diagnostic accuracy, communication, and the handling of financial constraints. Potential clients should be aware of these contrasting perspectives when making their decision.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Healthier pet, local users may want to seek additional reviews from other online platforms or consider contacting the clinic directly to inquire about their services, staff qualifications, and approach to patient care. It is crucial to feel comfortable and confident in your choice of veterinary provider, and considering all available feedback is a vital part of this process.
In conclusion, the available reviews for Healthier pet in Huntington, Indiana, present a polarized view of the clinic. While one customer praises the above-and-beyond care and expertise in exotic animals, another details a deeply negative experience involving alleged unprofessionalism, misdiagnosis, and a dismissive attitude towards financial concerns. Local users should weigh these contrasting accounts carefully and consider seeking additional information to form a balanced opinion before entrusting their pets' health to this clinic. Contacting Healthier pet directly may provide further clarity on their practices and approach to veterinary care.

Oct 10, 2024 · Jamie AlbaneseDr. Haney and her staff have been nothing but kind and resourceful during our multiple vet visits for our husky! About a month ago, our poor baby cracked her tooth and it needed to be removed. We were so nervous about her having a tooth removed, but it was the easiest process ever. They took such great care of her and she is completely healed with no issues following her surgery. It was truly a breeze and we are so thankful. Thank you to everyone at Healthier Pet!
Jan 06, 2024 · Kassidy Ilayne Studios - Wedding PhotographerThey where friendly, but they cut my dog's quick and it happens so I was fine, until they did not tell me and lied about it. They lied and said that they don't remember cuting it which you would know.
Nov 04, 2024 · Porsche FernslerDr. Haney and staff are very compassionate people. I took my two big dogs (German shepherd dogs) at the same time for an afternoon appointment. When we walked in, they do have a couple of cats that casually walk the clinic, my dogs sat patiently. We were taken back to an exam room shortly after arriving. My dogs absolutely love Dr. Haney and so do I. Knowing that your dog is comfortable with someone is something is a must for me. She is also very caring for her patients parents also. She has my trust with my precious fur babies
