Gilley Animal Clinic

I brought my cat here last Friday, but I'm deeply disappointed with this vet. It was an emergency visit because my usual vet couldn't fit us in, and I felt he needed immediate attention, so I settled for coming here. That decision turned out to be a mistake. My cat seemed very down, and I suspected he was in pain, so I brought him in. They told me he had ripped out a nail, probably from being outside, and sent me home with medication, assuring me he should be fine and to bring him back if he wasn't better in two days. Today I took him to his actual vet because i just had a feeling something was wrong When they did the exam I was in tears with what I saw. Each and every toe had a nasty infection which I had not realized due to his toes not having been spread apart. I had taken their word with it being only one nail being ripped out. But it was four FOUR!! On both paws. All 10 toes with an infection. I can’t imagine the pain he must have been in. At his vet now, they've cleaned all his wounds and had to give him fluids because he had a fever of 103. When I called Gilley Animal Clinic, they apologized and offered to send his files to my vet, as if that could make up for their oversight. This could have ended very badly if I hadn't sought another opinion. They never properly cleaned his paw or suggested a cone to prevent infection. This entire ordeal could have been prevented if they had taken better care of him. I'm not sure if they lack experience with cats, but my cat is usually cooperative even when in pain. This whole situation is heartbreaking. I hope by sharing this experience, I can prevent this from happening to someone else. Thank you to Avocado Animal Hospital for stepping in and possibly saving his feet. The least I would have expected is compensation for his new vet bill I had to cover to get him the help he needed and they did offer to bring him in but I don’t feel comfortable ever going back after.

Been going to this vet for 30 years. They are very busy and often I do not see the vet myself, as the techs take my pets back and they are returned with a diagnosis and opinions on cures. Dr Gillie was basically working alone for most of the time I have been going there but they have two vets now. So, you can see the vet if you want but it will take longer. I have never had a bad experience and totally trust them as I feel they really are trying to help the best way possible without breaking my bank.

Great clinic with fair pricing for urgent situations. They were able to fit me in the same day. You have to come in later in the afternoon or at least we did that day, but service was great. It was clean. They took my cat back and accessed the situation and gave me the appropriate prescriptions. Right in line with what I thought was wrong. The bill was reasonable. Thank you for your help with my kitty! Highly recommend!

Always very caring. Professional, I saw a customer get upset because his missed behaved dog could not get the nails clipped and the staff kept the professionalism. I have been visiting Dr. Gilley for years and they literally saved one on my dogs from parvo virus. Prices are very reasonable.

The care that the staff puts into their work here is amazing. Im so happy I found about this place from reading all the great reviews here on Google. Its a walk-in only place with no appointments, so unless you go super early before they open (8am) you will have to wait. I honestly don't mind waiting cause they do a great job with my cat Bumblebee. The only charge you for what you need and don't try to up sell you thing you don't need for your animals. Which I highly appreciate, they are very affordable and budget friendly. I came in cause my cat got into a fight with a another cat and had open wounds, they were able to shave and clean his wounds. All my questions were answered and they put my mind at ease with their professionalism. I was sent home with all medication that bumblebee needed and they recommended a follow up visit.
