I cannot say enough how grateful I am for this place. My baby is a habitual sock eater but usually passes them naturally or vomits them up. However, after not eating for two days, I knew something was wrong. After X-rays, it was discovered he had two different clothes trapped in his intestines. They were quick to give me options and advice. We decided to do surgery due to his age and vet recommendations; during surgery, they discovered that it had perforated in 14 spots, ultimately causing him to get 25% of his small intestine removed. They were great with giving me updates during surgery, after it, and every day morning and night while he stayed. They let me visit and ask as many questions as possible during his discharge and time back home. Today, we removed his stitches and were cleared to resume daily activities minus the sock eating. SMH. It's definitely a fantastic team, from the front office to the vet techs and veterinarians. Would come here again and recommend to anyone needing emergency attention. Dr. Galella, and the team are awesome. My cat had an emergency in the middle of the night, and so I called to make sure it was ok to come in. They were pretty busy around midnight. Even with all they had going on they still made me feel like my cat and I were their top priority. I would definitely recommend them if your fur baby needs help after hours.

Back in August, I brought my little Silken Windhound Galaxy here after she jumped off a hotel bed. The staff that night were so great and helpful in taking care of us. She healed up so nicely after giving us a great referral to an Orthopedic vet. Thank you so much!

Words can never express how wonderful and patient the doctor and staff members are at focused pet care. From the time I walked in their facility on one of the worst days of my life, I was met with compassion, and unlimited empathy. The doctor and his nurse and staff did everything they could do to save my fur baby. And the decision to put him down was excruciating, and they were there every step of the way. I will give this place 10 stars if it was possible. My fur baby Ruffin is suffering no more.❤️❤️

The front staff is amazing. We are pleased that Focus could see our very sick bulldog as no one else was available. I thought there was a convention out of town. Grateful they helped our sweet Gertie—she’s doing so much better.

Top tier pet hospital, best in Jax by far. We were referred to Focused by our primary care vet when it was discovered our little one had a massive amount of fluid in her chest cavity, not allowing her to breath. We took Bear in and they performed a fluid extraction and stabilized our baby. After a few nights we were finally able to bring her home with our properly setup oxygen supply. All the doctors we spoke with were excellent and took the time to walk us through everything that was going on. The front desk is so sweet and they too are top notch. Thank you Focused Pet Care, you definitely saved our little one.

Hank hadn’t been acting himself so took him to our Vet & they said he needed a blood transfusion because his RBC was extremely low. They referred us here & Dr. Mizesko & staff were phenomenal! Hank got his transfusion & they monitored him all night. He just got his RBC rechecked yesterday & he is doing great!! Thank you for saving the Hankster!!!

Our older cat Milky Way took a turn for the worse the day after Christmas after a lengthy illness. She wasn’t eating and it was clear that her meds were no longer working. We knew it was time to put her down. Our vet in Fleming Island wasn’t available so we started calling around. Third call was to Focused Pet Care and they said we could bring her by. We got the cat carrier and as I gave her a final kiss on the head I could tell her breathing was shallow so she could pass at anytime. The drive was 20 minutes and only a few minutes into the trip my wife called and said she thinks Milky Way passed. She got to the vet and the nurse confirmed that Milky had indeed crossed the rainbow bridge. The office people were so kind to my wife. As she sat in the lobby the nurse properly placed Milky in a small cat casket. We were able to bury her in our back yard. Probably the nicest thing was we received a sympathy card from focused pet care staff today. Was just a kind gesture. Thank You Focused Per Care for lovingly caring for our Milky Way.
