Dr LaMorte and staff are wonderful. I have been going here for the past 20 years. They never keep you waiting. They answer any questions or concerns that I may have about my pet. I highly recommend this practice.

If 11 were an option, I would choose it! Dr. Tim Plunkett is so very good with animals in general. Excellent care and compassion for my male cat Blackie. Very accommodating, considerate and understanding of my concerns. A good listener! Dr. Tim goes above and beyond; when Blackie was obstructed on a weekend, he came into the office to give Blackie life-saving care. I always recommend Dr. Tim to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian. Office staff and vet techs are also to be commended. Very friendly and responsive. Always courteous.

Very communicative, always friendly front desk staff and such caring vets and techs! You can tell they provide the level of care they would want for their own animals!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Dr Plunkett not only failed to meet the standard of care when it came to treating my doodle, his actions to rectify the situation were not only unethical but poor practice. When my dog was initially brought in he was very sick and I requested a Lyme test because he was showing all the classic symptoms of Lyme, to which I was told would be done. It NEVER was. Instead my doodle spent approximately 2 1/2 days of overnight stays, unnecessary treatment which included multiple tests, and rounds of antibiotics; misdiagnosing altogether. When I asked Dr Plunkett to explain the antibiotic being given he told me “he doesn’t have time to give a tutorial on why he chose one antibiotic over the other for Toby”. He told me he wasn’t sending out the X-rays because there was no “significant abnormalities” only to charge me, and when I questioned him his response was well it was sent out, how about you pay half. After all was said and done my dog only became sicker, Dr Plunkett suggested transfer to Cornell. I asked for the results of the Lyme test to which I was told “he didn’t do one”. I demanded the test be done only for it to come back POSITIVE. At this point my dog had to be transferred to the emergency vet in Norwalk, All which could’ve been avoided with the initial LYME test and doxycycline. To make matters worse when I spoke with Dr Plunkett he admitted to having put in the Lyme test the first initial visit but never did it, even though it WAS requested, stating it was “his fault”; yet he still expected me to pay his fees on top of the unnecessary $6698 bill I had to incur at the emergency vet due to Dr Plunketts malpractice. I was informed by emergency vet their bill could have been avoided had the Lyme test been done initially as requested. This all occurred right before the holiday, and put me in a position financially that no one should have to deal with. I would never recommend him and believe him to be not only dishonest but unfit to continue practicing.
