Don’t go here I don’t know how to describe this any better but the vet will let your dog die! If you take them in on a Monday they don’t take care of the pets how they supposed to because it’s an early day for them meaning they open from 7-12pm. They are in a rush and the vet will directly assume that your doggie or cat is sick because of their age, like she did to mine. She was in such a hurry that she didn’t even do the right exams. We took her in on a Monday and right away she “assumed” that my baby was having a really bad infection maybe on her organs because of age (“my baby was almost 15years old but she was healthy”) they did blood work and she even got surprised everything was clean good so then she “Assumed again” that maybe it was here teeth because my doggy had her teeth not in the best condition because she was an older dog. She send us home with medication for ten days and to bring her back in a week which is on a Monday again. So days went by I would give her medication but didn’t notice any difference or signs of her getting better so I called back to tell them my concerned about her not getting better so they said to take her back in this is a Thursday now. I took her back in after they took us to a room the vet gave orders to take my dog in for an ultrasound she did bloodwork again comes out and tells my your dog white blood cells when up super high I had ASSUMED because of her age her organs were failing on her that’s why I only did a test for her organs. The ultrasound was showing that her uterus was swollen. So she said that her uterus was extremely swollen and full of bacteria and infection that she need to perform asap surgery on her because her uterus can burst out any minute! I panicked because at the moment she had sent her assistant to tell me all this. So we said yes anything to save her they also said they were going to fix her so the amount of money was insane 3,500 but we gave 1,500 up front with a “Discount” of the vet! I’m signing the paperwork they try to make me pay 500 extra to do cpr on her in case of she needs it while she’s on the table!. Time passed by they were updating us few phones calls of updating pass by then on the last call the vet said she was good and stable right but when she was doing surgery she noticed her uterus was completely cleaned no swelling or infection!!!!! So at the end she only removed only a fatty ball she had and that was nothing it wasn’t harmful at all oh also her nails right. 1,500 for cutting nails removing a fatty ball and fixing her. She said she had a cancer tumor but couldn’t do anything about it because she wasn’t specialist on that. This place is called a HOSPITAL OK BUT NOT A 24hrs SERVICE PLACE! My dog stood overnight after a surgery un supervised left alone without any body to keep on eye on her to see if she need it something. My dog passed away in the middle of the night alone because when the vet went got in at 7:20Am to check on her she wasn’t moving anymore. She said I believe she died in the middle of the night you can tell she didn’t want to be left alone but this is not a 24hrs service place and you don’t have to pay the remaining balance. So why do they do surgeries and let them stay overnight if no one is there to look after them!. And they still had the audacity to make us pay for her cremation and orchid.

East Los Angeles Dog and Cat Hospital Introduce

East Los Angeles Dog and Cat Hospital is a veterinary care provider located at 5655 Whittier Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. They can be contacted at (323) 688-5570 or via mobile at +1 323-688-5570. As a local veterinary hospital, they offer services for both dogs and cats.

Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at East Los Angeles Dog and Cat Hospital appear to be varied. One detailed review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the level of care received, alleging misdiagnosis, rushed examinations due to limited Monday hours (7 AM - 12 PM), and concerns about overnight post-surgical care due to the facility not being a 24-hour service provider. This review describes a situation where a dog underwent surgery based on a presumed severe infection that was reportedly not found during the procedure, and the pet was left unsupervised overnight, ultimately passing away. The reviewer also raises concerns about additional charges and the handling of aftercare.

In contrast, another customer review offers a positive perspective, describing the hospital as a "great place" with "nice and quick" service and short wait times.

Given the conflicting nature of these recent reviews, it is advisable for potential clients to consider these experiences when making decisions about their pet's care at East Los Angeles Dog and Cat Hospital. It is important to note that the hospital operates during specific hours and may not offer 24-hour monitoring for post-operative patients.

For local users seeking veterinary care for their dogs and cats in the East Los Angeles area, East Los Angeles Dog and Cat Hospital can be contacted for information about their services, environment, and current operational procedures. However, it is recommended to consider the range of experiences reported by other pet owners.
