From the initial consultation to our last follow up from TPLO surgery we felt very fortunate to have such a compassionate, talented and kind surgeon in our community.

A warm person with great skills. Our Maltese Shitzu blew out a ligament running on a golf course Six weeks later, after surgery, he is almost back to normal. Recovering quickly. My wife and I would highly recommend Doctor Hansen for your dog.

I could not be more thrilled by my experience with Dr. Hanson and his entire team. My dog Clementine developed a lipoma on her side that quickly grew to a size her normal vet was uncomfortable removing, so they referred us out. The first time I called Chris to make a consultation appointment, we were disconnected. I had mentioned Clementine’s normal vet during the phone call and Chris basically did detective work to track me down and call me back lol. I felt instantly at ease with this practice because that made me feel like they really care about their patients. The day of Clementine’s operation, Dr. Hanson called me before and after the surgery and let me ask any questions I had. He was very patient with me, I’m sure he was very busy that day but you would’ve never known - he answered every question I had and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. A few days post op, Clementine developed a bruise on her belly. I called Chris, she advised me to send a photo to Dr. Hanson via email and he responded within an hour and made me feel completely at ease. Clementine is now almost three weeks out from her operation, completely back to herself and she’s healing beautifully! Her incision was quite large but I’m not even sure she’ll have a scar, Dr. Hanson did such an amazing job. I hope to never need his services again but if you need an animal surgeon, you want it to be Dr. Hanson.

Dr. Hanson and his staff are absolutely topnotch. Dr. Hanson is an expert in his field. He is also an excellent communicator, understanding, and to say he is dedicated is an understatement. He is patient and doesn't mind answering questions. He is honest in his assessments but conveys them with compassion. I cannot imagine anyone being unhappy with his work or him. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing his services or those of the animal hospital, please trust that you are in the best of hands.

There are no words to describe the experience with Dr. Steven Hanson – awesome doesn’t begin to cut it. Poor beagle, Baxter, had 2 paws on the rainbow bridge…Dr. Hanson said bring him in in 2 hours (we live an hour away) and I will take care of him. He and his staff did just that! Removing the gallbladder, spleen, testicles, and part of his liver, seemed so traumatic to us, yet, that very beagle, a short time later, is thriving, basically back to his old self. There is a comforting mix of expertise, communication, and compassion with this caring, organized unit, I can’t say I’ve ever encountered before. Overflowing with gratitude is a great feeling, we are so appreciative of the efforts put forth by Dr. Hanson and his team.
